Read the post above yours, it's not just gangs and crime. Those will have to be addressed with additional policies. Edit: As I've posted before, some of the most dangerous gangs are something like 90% illegal aliens.

There are certainly good public school systems in the US. No one is advocating abandoning public education, the idea is to provide more choice and competition. Edit: The biggest problem as mentioned is in the inner cities, where you have both the out-of-control teachers' unions and the self-dealing politicians that enable them, in a addition to societal problems which make educating all the children very difficult.

If a charter school is failing, the parent would have the choice to use their voucher in a fantastic public school, no? Edit: If you reread the exchange, we were specifically discussing "schools in these troubled areas"

If they can delay the vote certification by demanding hand recounts past the date of the electoral college voting, it would cause all kinds of mayhem. No one ever checks though. And leftists are on record encouraging illegal voting. Also it's not just illegal immigrants who can vote illegally, it's legal non-citizens and felons as well.

Other than being potential hit list material, what benefit is to this? The weird thing is a similar system was abandoned years ago because it was redundant. Because WE ALREADY DO THIS. If you come into the US, you go on a list. If you read the article, they are talking about visitors from countries where widespread terrorist movements are active. If everyone is on the list, that's too many people to monitor.

Exactly, that is why it's such a convenient term for branding people as racists. The media is running with it. They say the core alt-right are the white supremacists. May be they are and may be they aren't, but it allows the left-wing media to tar all non-mainstream conservatives as racists. Edit: Here they'are using one of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Of course with a large helping of Soviet style lies and obfuscations.

WOD what influence do you think Stephen Bannon will have on the Trump presidency ? Is he a white supremacist? I think Trump feels a certain debt to him and his alt right supporters who played a key part in ensuring a Trump victory which is why he appointed him " chief strategist and senior counselor " but that is a job description that is nebulous and I think Trump did that on purpose as this special role is not the same as having someone like Reince Priebus who is now in an established position. So in other words Trump is ensuring he is still loyal but not making controversial placements No, being a nationalist isn't the same thing as being a white supremacist. I think he'll have a very good influence as Trump will be pushed by the establishment to ease off illegal immigration and other things beneficial to corporations and harmful to the American people. It makes perfect sense to tap him as a strategic adviser since that's basically the role he played in the campaign and the campaign resulted in the most amazing victory in the entire American history. Also I wish people, including you, would shut up about the "alt-right" moniker. The way that term (which no one ever heard before Democrat propaganda machine publicized it during the election) works is "Everyone who's anti-establishment is alt-right. Alt-right are a bunch of racists. Therefore everyone anti-establishment is a racist!"

Yes, the Democrat primary is even a far worse, much less democratic system than the Electoral College, but it's fine so long as it gives the right result. But, anyways, the BernieBros are the Trotskies to them and are treated as traitors since they have to gall to claim that the system is ****ed on a broader scope. My response would normally be an eye roll and quote of Cicero's devastatingly casual response 'narratus tepidarius frater' which so infuriated Mark Anthony, if it weren't so emblematic of everything that went wrong on the 'progressive' side. Hypocritical, unappealing to anyone who isn't already convinced yet appears to be effective because the only opinions valued by those saying it are people who already agree with them. As someone who actually is pretty left it's about the most stupid tactic I can imagine, it's already failed and continuing use of it just suggests that lessons will not be learned. Yes, Thiel is racist because he supports Trump and Trump is racist because he's supported by racists. It's the perfect ouroboros of the "progressive" mind.
