Another example of great police works
Wrath of Dagon replied to Wrath of Dagon's topic in Way Off-Topic
Yet clearly he was: and from what he did just now. The article is vague, in one place it says he was evaluated and in another place "not adjudicated". My guess is it's the latter, and the reason is no one bothered to adjudicate him, it was easier to just give the gun back. PTSD, not the same thing as insanity, or to be more accurate, paranoid schizophrenia that appears to be this case. -
Another example of great police works

I'm saying insane people should not be allowed to have guns. And by law if they've been involuntarily committed, they aren't. But something clearly broke down here. -

Because Obola's only true enemy in the world are Republicans.

Just saw Shturmoviks launch an air strike in Graviteam Tactics: Mius Front. Never seen that before, might be something new. You can actually see the planes flying and bombing and strafing, really cool.

Too bad I can't do a good Beavis and Butthead imitation.

The decision to restrict loot by level seems very dumb to me. What's the point of getting loot if you can't use it anyway? In general the RPG systems seem weak so far, the rest of the game is very good though.

Good idea, how do we get there though? ACA wasn't a solution, prices still went up. They had a law which said provider compensation for Medicare could only increase at the rate the economy grew, but every year Congress doing the work of the medical lobby would override that, even though the 10 year budget projection always assumed the provision was still in place for future years. Finally they simply repealed that law altogether. Edit: And then the medical lobbyists were running ads thanking my Congressman for being instrumental in repealing the hated law. And then he outspent his primary opponent by at least 50 to 1.

Meh, just a couple of turns of the rack for the tax payer, and voila!

Problem with optional is you could wait until you get sick, then buy insurance.

Obviously more of a kiss ass award than a merit award. Just a way for DoD to say good bye, and in this case also good riddance. Of course it's hypocritical, but most things in politics are. And it's a civilian award, it's not like he's getting the Medal of Honor. Obamacare could easily blow up in Republicans' face, and being the stupid party it probably will: http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertlaszewski2/2016/11/28/obamacare-repeal-transition-and-replace-the-republicans-have-a-tiger-by-the-tail/#688a33ca65c5

Eagerly waiting for the title of Generalisimo. Seriously though, GWB got one too, apparently it's something that's given to outgoing presidents, no big deal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_Defense_Medal_for_Distinguished_Public_Service#/media/File:William_S._Cohen_presents_President_Clinton_the_Department_of_Defense_Medal_for_Distinguished_Public_Service.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_Defense_Medal_for_Distinguished_Public_Service#/media/File:US_Navy_090106-F-6655M-124_Secretary_of_Defense_Robert_M._Gates_awards_the_Department_of_Defense_Medal_for_Distinguished_Public_Service_to_President_George_W._Bush.jpg

Well, what did he do? Made it clear the era of free lunch as far as moving jobs abroad is over. US government used to actually encourage companies to move jobs to China! Also promised to improve business climate in the US, instead of Obola's passive-aggressive Marxism.
-
Yes, it's very reasonable because if we had no quotas we might get 10's of millions of people a year, far more than we can absorb. Immigration should be for US benefit, not the benefit of foreigners. We already get 1 million immigrants a year, and another million on temporary work permits that tend to become permanent. That's more than enough.
-
Right, low skilled legal immigrants will demand high wages just like their American counterparts. We have plenty of legal immigration now, most people want it reduced, not increased. Corporations want both legal and illegal immigration, because they know labor oversupply results in lower wages.
-
Hey, there's an idea, may be Mexicans will start competing by cleaning up crime and corruption, instead of undercutting our wages.
-
But, but, Obola said it couldn't be done! What did Trump do, wave a magic wand?

Btw, I started playing with the 360 controller but dumped it for the Steam controller when I realized I really need to map the signs to face buttons, which I can do with the Steam controller, and even mapped the quick save.

Points of interest reward you with next to no XP. You get most XP for main questline, then for secondary quests (this is tiered even further by getting more XP for secondary quests directly tied to main questline as opposed to those which are not), and you get the least XP for... Well, anything else, really. Additionally, the game rewards a lot less XP for quests which are way below your level. You do find new quests in the points of interests though, and things like abandoned villages and monster nests that do give XP, and places of power which increase your skills. Anyway, I did all the available quests and finished the starting area at level 3 and recommended for next area is 5, which is kind of strange, but I'm hoping if I do everything I'll at least get as close as possible to where I'm supposed to be.
-
I found I'm having to do all the points of interest because I'm below the recommended level for my next main task. Looks like it's going take quite a while to get through the game, I'll play it off and on in sections so I can play other stuff as well.

US is hardly a police state, that's a ridiculous statement. Edit: David Burge @iowahawkblog Breaking: State Dept expels 20 Nigerian diplomats after John Podesta fails to receive $1 million wire transfer from nephew of General Okezi Cool story: https://strategypage.com/military_photos/2016122918409.aspx

Well, I'm not sure about jail either. They probably just give you a court date unless it's over a certain amount.
-
That is wrong, plenty of states will still send you to jail for possession. It has been changing slowly, but right now only 20 states have decriminalized possession. http://www.drugpolicy.org/drug-war-statistics Number of arrests in 2015 in the U.S. for drug law violations: 1,488,707 Number of these arrests that were for possession only: 1,249,025 (84 percent)Just because you get arrested doesn't mean you're going to prison. Most of the cases in our courts are for marijuana possession, but they normally get community service, may be rehab, but not prison.
-
Yes, that's the point I was making, you probably shouldn't be telling us what to do. So far as I know they don't go to jail for possession, only for dealing, but a lot of times dealing gets pleaded down to possession.
