  1. Best phone I've ever used, but Verizon blows.
  2. xkcd. This might have been mentioned already... Not sure, and too lazy to look.
  3. A game where you follow a character's progression, usually from a common dude to an epic badass.
  4. I wouldn't get the AMD, and wait until next week to get your GPU, because nVidia apparently has some big news coming. I personally have a 285, and it runs everything perfectly. SSDs are, at this point, net very cost-effective. Get a Caviar Black instead- very fast, and reasonably priced. As for the case, Corsair is apparently releasing a smaller version of the 700D- that should meet your requirements.
  5. Yeah... That doesn't make any sense. Obsidian has nothing to do with TOR and BioWare is only making it because they are being paid to make it. If you want to be mad at something be mad at Lucas Arts. Hence the "sort of" that was directed at Bio and Obsidian.
  6. Played K1. Reflected on how much IWTK3. Fail, Bio/Obsidian/LA. I hate you all... Sort of...
  7. Oh, I bloody well love ME2. I just think that the original was superior, and that ME2 doesn't fit the categorization for RPG that well.
  8. I've determined that this is a waste of a holiday.
  9. @Purkake: For me, the leveling and the loot have always been the reward, just as much as the story is. I grew up on my brother's Final Fantasy and DnD, so yeah, I love me some leveling. Therefore, since two out of my top three criteria for RPG-dom are missing, I really can't classify ME2 as a pure RPG. I don't think Bio, or rather, EA, ever meant it to be an "RPG" in the vein of Kotor or the other Bio games. They wanted to bring in the shooter audience; as a business decision it makes sense, and certainly they made no secret about it. But to appease the trigger-happy CoD fanboys, they needed to remove some of the RPG elements, and that's exactly what they did.
  10. Because leveling up has always been an integral component of RPGS? Fair enough. This is where ME2 excels. Therein lies my main gripe with the game. None of the choices ever matter, until the end of the game. In the original, every level except Eden Prime, Ilos, and Therum ended with a choice of some consequence; in the sequel, not until can you make a decision of any consequence. I'm not complaining about the combat system; it should be as exciting and possible, and in this regard, ME2 is far superior to ME1. The inventory system, however, is another story; much like leveling. inventory has always been of utmost importance to RPGS. In ME2, there really is no inventory system. An RPG without an inventory is like a shooter with no guns, IMO: not one.
  11. Exp never really shows up; its just a bullet on a "mission complete" screen. No level ups in gameplay (i.e. within the levels themselves) remove it from the player's perception, and it never really comes back...
  12. MMOs are absolutely horrible; more like abominations, really- or maybe abortions, i.e. abortions of the franchises they were made of... *cries* MMOs are the Antichrist's tools.
  13. No, its not. But, when the inventory gets axed, the experience system essentially goes away, and the gameplay approaches CoD's system, it becomes a shooter, not an RPG.
  14. This, but I liked the first one better... I like my RPGs... well... to be RPGs instead of shooters... Edit: Reave is epic. 'Nuff said.
  15. I did... absolutely nothing. What a lovely, romantic holiday. Oh well, a few less Vorcha can't hurt...
  16. Legion. Pretty good. Needs more 'splosions though. 8/10. Also,
  17. No problem. Always happy to help. This. Seriously. Just wait. Fermi is set up to be the second coming of Christ.
  18. I got a 2260. SATs = a joke all strategy, not to mention you can take them as many times as you want. they are a horrible measure of intellect IMO you shouldn't be worried unless you didn't prepare for them. the only excuse for not doing well is not putting in the effort to get a good score. I'm worried because i need to beat my archrival... which I didn't... So I'm retaking it...
  19. Tomorrow I get my SAT scores back. So, today I panicked.
  20. Probably going to be a MMORPG I ****ing well hope not... MMOPOSes are... well... POSes... I got that impression from your nick/sig. Yeah. It's not much of a secret, to be honest... 10' is a bit too close for my tastes.
  21. I'm terribly sorry. We've offered what reparations we could, but the gerbils are still on strike. Don't tell LoF.
  22. Yeah, I'm not gonna find Fist... Ever... Wrex manages to tag along everywhere once I get him... Which is to say, immediately...
  23. The i5 with the 260 (because I don't like ATI) will do well; I'm generally not a big fan of Asus, so I'd recommend avoiding their mobos- I'd get this one instead. Either RAM will do fine; its a matter of brand preference; for $15 more, you can get Dominator, which is for all intents and purposes the second coming of God as far as RAM goes IMO- the clock speeds are a little lower, but they OC like a charm, so it won't matter. The HDD is the best on the market right now, IMO, so you're goos there. Antec makes good cases, and the 300 is a popular one, so I'd go with that. I don't really follow monitors, so I can't help there. EDIT: If you can find an EVGA-branded 260, get it. EVGA is the best. Just remember that the Fermi chips are coming out soon...
