  1. As said in the Extra Life thread, #ObsidianPlays is going to be an ongoing stream for us. Hooray! We'll update this thread with what games we're playing each week. Usually we'll announce what game we're playing on Wednesday so I'll pop in here and let you all know what we'll be going through. For this week we'll be continuing our playthrough of our second #ObsidianPlays featured game: SOMA! We'll be streaming November 13th at 7:00PM PDT. Join us! If you missed past broadcasts, you can catch up with them here. The audio on the Outlast stream is rough as we had an issue with our mic, but it was fixed from that episode forward. So yes, come and join and the fun and let's talk about us getting into crazy antics while playing video games!
  2. Haha! You guys are awesome! I like knowing that others are joining along with us at home. It is the perfect, "play at home," game.
  3. I've edited out highlights from the stream on a per-game basis. Individual highlights will come later as that's a lot to comb through, but you can see what we have here! http://www.twitch.tv/obsidian/profile/highlights
  4. A huge thanks to all who joined us in the stream! Sorry if I didn't realize who you may have been in the chat as Twitch names and our forum names weren't always the same. Thank you all nonetheless. I hope you had a good time watching us play games. The VOD of the entire stream is now up on our Twitch channel (http://www.twitch.tv/obsidian/v/24497416), so you can relive it anytime you want. I'll also be working on editing out highlights from it this week (as there were PLENTY). As for how much we raised: our team was made up of Obsidian employees: Dave Webb [sr. Designer, Armored Warfare], Aaron DuBois [sr. VFX Artist, Armored Warfare], Bree Maldonado [Recruiter], and Nicole "Green Shirt Girl" Evanich [Junior Animator/UI Artist, Armored Warfare]. They all helped spread the word and bring in donations for the team so a huge chunk of gratitude needs to go out to them for all of their dedication to this great cause! I lead the charge for the stream held here and our "lead team" combined with everyone else has raised a total of $3,635 for the Children's Hospital of Orange County! The donation window is not closed yet, that was just the time for the 24-hour marathon. So if you missed the oppurtunity to donate during the marathon, you can still do so. While we didn't make our goal during the marathon, I'm still very happy with what we've accomplished. We didn't even have a concerted presence on Twitch until the beginning of October and it's completely through the love of our fans and you all helping us spread the word that we were able to do what we did. So again, thank you! And now for an announcement! We had thought that maybe we would just do the streams during October as a lead-in to Extra Life and then die down again. Have it be a thing where we raise awareness for a cause in spurts and then let it sit for awhile, which is all fine and dandy. But then it turned out to be a thing fans were into... and so were we! So, #ObsidianPlays is going to be a continuing thing for us! We'll probably find a place for a thread to exist here so we can interact with people and talk about episodes and such. We'll continue to play other games, but we also have plans to do "Special Edition" episodes where we bring in Sawyer to go over some cool, never before seen White March Part 2 areas, have members of the KotOR2 team play through the newly updated Steam release and give a bit of commentary on it, or bring in Tim Cain to check out Fallout 4. Just as a couple of ideas. That all said: Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU! You are all incredible.
  5. Dave Webb (schedule and stream link on previous page) will be playing later tonight.
  6. I finally beat that first level, Cont! It was glorious! Right after GreenShirtGirl died 52406983460745094854 times.
  7. Haha! Only when dying all the time in Mario Maker... and with games in general. Green shirt girl is a training mad woman.
  8. You expect me, a finnish person, to say hi to couple of dudes I have never met? That's really culturally insensitive. For shame Mikey Dowling, for shame.
  9. Robert Lee [Designer, Armored Warfare] (http://www.twitch.tv/kuhlka) has his schedule up! - 8:00AM PDT - 8:00PM PDT (that's when baby duty takes him away) For both Rob and David, make sure to pop in and say hi and thanks! They're taking time out of a much needed weekend to do this and we couldn't be happier to have their help!
  10. Here's the schedule for Dave Webb [senior Designer on Armored Warfare] (http://www.twitch.tv/dweebikus) who will be doing a stream from his home: - 6am - 9am: Pillars New Game 30 min coffee/breakfast break - 9:30:00 AM - 12pm: Magic Online Battle for Zendikar Draft 30 min Lunch Break - 12:30 - 3pm: Magic Online Battle for Zendikar Draft 15 min coffee - 3:15 - 7pm: Pillars New Game cont. 30 min dinner break - 7:30 - 9:20: New Sylvari Revenant in GW2 with Les (gameplay programmer on GW2) 10 min break - 9:30 - 11:30: Overwatch 30 min midnight snack - 12:00 am - 1am: Armored Warfare!!! 15 min break - 2:15am - 6am: Keep Pillaring on
  11. In the office (so far): - The morning will start with Super Mario Maker as people filter in - We'll probably do a new game on Mass Effect (N7 Day and all) for a bit and have chat help us make all of our choices. It'll be great. - There are talks of some Rock Band 4 - There might be a Destiny Raid - Goldeneye - Mario Kart 64 or 8 (I easily have 8 - 64 is the one that I don't have yet in my 64 collection... I think) - Other games throughout But the big draws is someone who is so super easily scared playing PT at 10:00PM PDT. Then once that is done, we're going right into Until Dawn (again, with chat helping us make all of our choices) most likely until we finish the game. Which will probably be just after if not right before the 24-hour mark.
  12. We absolutely will! We're really excited to be a part of this and are hoping to be able to give the kids as much as they deserve.
  13. What! I'm not paying for a long expensive journey to a metaphysical realm of anguish, punishment and suffering for any children. They can walk the road of good intentions like the rest of us! No but seriously, i'm afraid I personally support Great Ormond Street Hospital, as they need more funding now that the rights to JM Barries works are no longer under their control, and I firmly believe that charity begins at home. However I applaud any moves such as this, and would donate were I a Californian, good luck ladies and gentlemen. Totally understandable, Nonek! Even if you can't donate, come and by the stream and hang out with us. We'll be playing various games throughout the day. We also have other Obsidian employees doing their own streams that you can pop into. I'll post schedules for everyone as I get them.
  14. Hey, everybody! This Saturday, November 7th, we'll be participating in a 24-hour video gaming marathon for the Extra Life Charity Event! If you have the ability, any donations (no matter the size) are appreciated. Even just spreading the word and sharing the message is fantastic! 100% (that's right, all of it!) goes to the Children's Hospital of Orange County! You can donate here: www.obsidian.net/donate and you can watch us play games in a special Extra Life edition of ‪#‎ObsidianPlays‬ on our twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/obsidian)! Let's do it for the kids, everyone! If you have any questions about the event, feel free to ask and I'll answer all that I can!
  15. Hey, everyone! To celebrate the beginning of Eora's Small Harvest Autumn Festival the first of four short stories, "The Ratcatcher" by Carrie Patel, is available for free download! Keep checking back as more short stories become available! https://eternity.obsidian.net/media/stories
  16. What TrueNeurtral said. There is a whole process to it. The game is looking awesome and you'll all be very pleased when we get to show you more. The team is also incredibly excited to show you what they've been working on. Any of us posting something is because we want to interact with you in anyway we can, even though it might not be with the treasure trove of screenshots that we wish we could. It will happen, though! Patience young Padawans.
  17. I believe finishing the main objective will be the one that always triggers the end of the mission. It's similar to how Peace Walker worked where you could play missions multiple times to try and get a better ending. I would say though, that I recommend just going with the flow of the game and going back to get better rankings on missions later.
  18. That's totally understandable. I think it's mentioned only the first time you get low on ammo. The suppressor doesn't trigger it for some reason. Either way, supply drops lend greatly to extended free roaming play. I would just make sure you order one before going into each guard post. Though some may need you to have one part way through. Supply drops also give you more fulton balloons, so it's a lot of win.
  19. You can order a supply drop from the iDroid. They usually come pretty quickly, it just cost GMP to do so (yet not much, really).
  20. And now locking this thread since it's gone off the rails a bit. More news about the digital Pathfinder Adventure Card Game will be coming soon as more news comes out of PAX and we get ready for the launch. Thanks.
  21. As Nathan said, we'll be putting up pictures on both Instagram and Twitter all weekend.
  22. I imagine you got the Retail pack with the t-shirt, if I were to guess? This would net you a Royal Edition key and an extra Hero Edition key to do with what you'd like.
  23. Hey everyone! We reached out to Paradox to get confirmation on this and products are still going out. All products have been shipped by this point. If for some reason you still have not received your physical rewards from Paradox, please reach out to us by emailing support@obsidian.net and we will get you in touch with Paradox quickly to get your rewards to you! Also be sure to refer to this blog post that Darren put up back in April for any questions you may have about getting physical rewards: http://forums.obsidian.net/blog/7/entry-181-physical-goods-i-havent-received-mine-yet-when-are-they-coming/ Locking this thread as the blog post should answer any questions and do remember to just reach out to us at support if you have any issues with your physical rewards!
