  1. Hello, everyone! In our latest "From the Feed of the Director," we're taking a deep dive into Josh's Twitter and Instagram pages once more to see what gems of fascination we can glean about Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Our guide for this journey is Producer, Katrina Garsten. She will help us navigate news about abilities, a look at Maia's animal companion, what Deadfire Exec. Producer and Lead Programmer Adam Brennecke has been doing with text and VFX in combat, and what happens when you give an ogre alcohol in the Deadfire. Protip: don't. Or, totally do! It's your adventure, after all. Take it away, Katrina! As Katrina mentioned, our next update will take an in-depth look at the Deadfire's big city, Neketaka, and we'll see how far it's come since the Fig campaign ended. Lead Designer, Bobby Null, will be your guide on a tour of Neketaka and its environs. And don't forget that Josh will be joined by Lead Character Artist, Dimitri Berman, tomorrow afternoon, July 12th, on our Twitch channel for another Deadfire Q&A Stream at 4:00PM PST/1:00AM CEST. Let us know your questions, and we'll try to get to all of them during the stream. If you miss the stream, we'll get it up on our YouTube channel within 48 hours of it airing. Until next time, everyone! In case you missed it, check out our last update!
  2. The Closed Caption subtitles (English only) have been updated to accurately represent what is being said in the video, so that should be able to help you greatly.
  3. Greetings, everyone! First up, some great news: Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has won the Best PC Game at E3 2017 from HardcoreGamer.com. This adds to the RPGFan.com Best of Show award we received at E3 a couple of weeks back. Contratulations to the entire Deadfire team! Now on to the update. Last week, we said that we'd be back one more time with the E3 video to provide a deeper dive, and that's what we're doing. To help us with that, we're joined by Pillars II Executive Producer, Adam Brennecke! Adam is going narrate the video and point out some of the updated systems in play, as well as flag some key information you may have missed when he and Josh were talking to IGN. Without further ado, let's pass it over to Deadfire Producer, Katrina Garsten, to tell us more. That was a lot of great information! As Katrina said, we'll return in just a few more weeks to take a deeper look into the mysterious and always enrapturing videos that Game Director, Josh Sawyer, has been putting up on his social media feeds. Let us know below what you thought of the features we discussed in the E3 video and what you'd like to see us discuss in future videos. We also want you to keep July 12th marked on your callendars as we'll be doing a Q&A stream over on our Twitch channel at 4:00PM PST/1:00AM CEST with Josh Sawyer and Lead Character Artist, Dimitri Berman. Until next time, everyone!
  4. Hey, everyone! On July 12th at 4:00PM PST/1:00AM CEST we'll be doing another live Q&A Stream from our offices and answer questions from you here in the community! Do you have questions for Deadfire Game Director, Josh Sawyer, or Lead Character Artist, Dimitri Berman? If so, let us know below and we'll make sure that they get answered during the stream. But Mikey, what if I'm not able to get my question in in time and the stream has already started? If you don't have a chance to ask a question before the stream airs, we'll have time near the end to take questions from Twitch chat. What if I miss the stream entirely, when will I be able to answer my next question? We'll hopefully be able to do these once every two months or so, so sometime after PAX West, we'll have our next Q&A stream. I'm going to miss the stream live, will it go up on YouTube so I can watch later? Yes it will! Barring any technical difficulties/random zombie attack, the Q&A stream should be posted on our YouTube channel within 48 hours after the stream ends. Have a great rest of the week, everyone!
  5. Hey, everyone! Tomorrow from 12:00PM-2:00PM PST join Brandon Adler, Ryan Rucinski, Keno SanPablo, and Eric Neigher as they answer your questions about the game and Obsidian in general over on /r/Pathfinder_ACG! You're able to get your questions in now before the AMA starts tomorrow, so feel free to head on over and ask us anything!

While it is the same video, we'll be explaining things in a way that we didn't get to do during E3 and we hope you all dig that. As for new things - we're working on those now. July is looking fun, everyone.
  9. Hello, everyone! As promised in our last update, we're back from E3 and have some things to share. You may remember we hinted at an epic video, and we brought just that along! Deadfire Game Director, Josh Sawyer and Executive Producer, Adam Brennecke, had a chance to join the IGN crew on their stage at the E3 conference hall and show off extended Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire gameplay for the first time ever! We'll be diving into the details of that video in next week's update, so be sure to come back and join Adam as he discusses what he and Josh showed in the video above, along with additional information for you. Speaking of Adam, he also got a chance to sit down with Jason Schreier over at Kotaku to record a segment for their E3 podcast. The interview with Adam starts at 35:26 if you want to skip ahead to it. As for Josh, he sat down with Rich Scott-Jones of PCGamesN and talked more about Deadfire with him in a video interview: But wait, there's more! Josh and Adam also did interviews with both GameSpot and Bleeding Cool, so be sure to check those out.
