I kinda agree. The Marine campaign was quite decent, actually. The Predator campaign was weaker, but overall still good enough to play through it. The Alien campaign however felt lacklustre and rushed, and I never finished it beyond the first 15 mins. Maybe it gets a bit better later on?

I find EA's policy still more toxic to the whole game industry than Acti. At least Acti just keeps to CoD. EA however wants to keep changing the whole industry for the worse.

Just watched a couple of gameplay videos on youtube, and well, the combat reminds me heavily of DA:O. The rest just doesn't look very interesting, or inspiring. Writing is also crude (yeah yeah, sticking to the franchise and all), but also uninspiring.

Game Of Thrones has a metacritic of just 54% though.

Got both Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfigher games yesterday for ze cheapz, and played around a bit. Not bad overall, but doesn't come close to the intensity of SWAT 4 or the first Ghost Recon. The new GR: Future Soldier seems to play like a total Splinter Cell: Convicition rip-off.

PC version of Max Payne 3 to ship on 4 DVDs. This game will have glorious textures. Also, it's really about time to get Blu-Ray Discs standardized for PC retail games. That should be pretty much inevitable once the Next-Gen consoles ship.
