  1. So and what does violent users of cracked Photoshop versions have to do with Crytek? Are you implying they were stormed because they used cracked software?
  2. Having laws for violent video games is one thing, but storming a studio with troops is just hilarious and stupid.
  3. Read this from a Crytek developer. Ah crap.... CRYSIS really looks like hot steel, even if I can't play it with my dinosaur computer at release. What is "Stoiber SMG Goons & Industries" going to do about it? Replacing all the shooting stuff with Wei
  4. Finally, I got the time to get my paws onto NWN2. Playing it since a few days, and I'm still in Act 1. Have to rescue that silly farmer girl right now.... So far, it's really good! Certainly the best CRPG since a very long time....
  5. Finally, the official Website has gone online! Check out the new media! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!
  6. There's a new Bioshock trailer available. Shows some new gameplay footage, including "Hunt the Big Daddy" and more. You can watch it on this crappy site.
  7. There's new gameplay footage available. I haven't watched it yet, but I know you want to. So download either the standard or the HD version and say "Thank you!" to uncle Morgoth.
  8. Yeah, but again, Bio always predicts to make the "best possible Story driven games". Whether that's true should be judged by the consumer, of course.
  9. Well, Bio never went out and siad they're going to make RPGs exclusive, they just want to make the "best story driven games" ever. This just could also mean an Action game with a great story.
  10. I wonder if the expansion pack is worth the purchase. 30 Euros for a 5 hour Expansion is a little too much for my taste though.... But yeah, the original FEAR still kicks ass.
  11. Currently nothing, because I'm still busy to finalize some exams. But then I'm throwing myself into Gothic 3 and (finally!!!!) NWN2! Are the planetouched a good choice?
  12. All I need now to throw myself into the journey is another gig RAM (should arrive tomorrow) and that friggin' 1.10 patch that should fix the ambient sound bug. Then we'll see. Right now it's pretty unplayable on my comp.
  13. Gamespot previews Dark Sector Also take a look at the new screenshots and concept art. Remember Dark Sector? That game from the Co-Unreal developers that was announced in 2000 (or 1999?) as an innovative MMO-FPS? Well, it's still in development, but "slightly" changed. ) I thought the old setting they've showed a year ago was pretty nifty (Splinter Cell meets Starcraft. Big exoskeletons too! Morgoth always likes big exoskeletons!). Now the setting has been changed again, no space marines anymore, instead we now get weird robo-doggies and even weirder WW1-Terminator-Mutants-Rusky-Style thingies (wait, that actually sounds awesome.... but still looks meh). Well, still, if the gameplay delivers (supposed to be a mix of RE4, Splinter cell and FPS), I'll definitively keep an eye on it. There aren't that many action/FPS games out there that stimulated my interest lately, but DS still remains a little mystery to me. Hopfully in a positive way. Oh and don't worry, it has been turned into a single player game.
  14. Hey, these are grunt mercs we're talking about - not exactly hired for their prowess at stimulating conversation and philosophical introspection. That's what happens when you don't listen to John Kerry's advice to stay in school. Now they're in Spaceraq. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doesn't matter, real grunts don't talk that way, either. At least I didn't talk to my mates that corny when I was in the army (but well, Austrian army != TEH US-Army). They could have at least write the dialogs a bit more unpredictable.... This "Get ready", and then the lizard dude reminds him of the mission objectives while the gal must serve the opposite is just way too cheesy. Bio puts so much effort into creating highly detailed characters, why not putting more effort into how they interact with each ozher?
  15. Oh, that girl had such a sexy voice in the E3 movie, now she's sounds like an annoying prolo bitch. And the dialogs are totally cheesy. Hollywood cheesiness at it's best! "We must save them!" "No, our mission objectives didn't say anything about civilians..." "Strike hard and fast! GO GO GO!!!" I mean, c'mon? Even I could have written better dialogs. But other than that, the fidelity of the characters are awesome! Kudos to the artists! And a big "Meh" to the writers.
  16. Poor Grommy, now he starts quoting himself. But we feels some empathy for Groms...mental limitations as well! HA! Good Fun!
  17. Some people never want to accept changes, and yet they yearn for changes everytime. Funny.
  18. Well, I don't think they let a 300lbs QA-tester or a skinny programmer doing the swordplay. That's why you have animators, who with a little luck are even themselves professionals in fencing or any other sport. Anyway, I'm happy that Bio even makes endeavours to make the combat "feel" more kinetic, something you usually don't expect from a clicky clicky CRPG maker.
  19. I still don't understand that MMO madness lately, but if somethings "in", you just have to deliver more of it, right? Oh, that gets me thinking: How far's actuallyHerve with Fallout Online? HIHIHIHI!!!!!!!
  20. What a cheesy premise. If Fox still has interest putting funds into video games, they better should produce an Aliens versus Predator 3!
  21. Beer Belly mayhem I say!
  22. Read the reprinted 1Up preview of Dragon Age! Very interesting read. I particularly like how they're trying to make combat more visceral this time around.
  23. Reading educates/bias you, but doesn't make you more intelligent.
  24. I wonder why they don't release CriticalBuilds anymore. Lot more practical when you need to reinstall.
  25. I agree PST had too much ballast to read, they better should have had an editor. With Dragon Age though, and all the things you now can show via graphics/animations, reading through tons of lines would even let it appear more unattractive. I prefer to engage characters that response to the choices I make, rather than having 5 options that do nothing.
