Good to see ol' Ferg is still the cheery dude he always was.

Bought ARMA 2. Figured with patch 1.07 it should be quite bugfree by now. @WorstUserName I didn't have a problem when a played GTA4 back then with update 1.02. By now it should probably even run better.

What are you playing now
The only good FEAR is the original FEAR. Don't bother with the expansion packs, they weren't developed by Monolith and they feel cheap. FEAR2, despite doing a lot things better than 1 (like more versatile leveldesign and art) just doesn't convey the gritty quality of 1. The story also went totally bonkers with 2. A shame, really.

Resident Evil. A bit late I know, but it turned out to be quite enjoyable. Are the sequels better?

What's Happening at The Silver Lining Website?
That trailer looked totally goofy. In a bad way. Guess King's Quest die-hard fans will like it that way though.

Monolith was once a top notch FPS company. But since they got aquired by Warner Brothers they only shipped mediocre products. Like FEAR2 and Condemned 2. I'm glad though they don't waste their time with FEAR3. Can't wait for a new announcement, maybe at gamescom. Hope it's NOLF3.

Remember, RE5 is not a survival horror game like RE1/2, it's just an action game.

Acti-Evil, or Evil Arts strike again!
I'd say it's Ubisoft. After all, they're stealing all the European talent and bring them to Montreal.

Movies you have seen recently
Green Zone. Not a bad movie, but I liked The Hurt Locker more.

Acti-Evil, or Evil Arts strike again!
Governments need to save, so tax breaks seem a bit counterproductive right now. I think that decision came solely from some UK ministers, not teh evil usual suspect.

Challenging/frustrating games
Challenging is when you fail at something but you know you did something wrong and if you put more effort into it you will succeed. Frustrating is when you fail at something but you know it's only because the game is badly designed. Edit: An example of a very challenging game would be Demon's Souls. If you pay attention and use half your brain you can eventually beat the game.

Well, do you think they will make a PC game and then shoehorn it into consoles? That never works. The other way around however is standard procedure today.

Finished the Marine and Predator campaign of AvP. Not a bad game. Not so bad as people are actually claiming.

Dungeon Siege and streamlined are synonymous. So don't be surprised if DS3 is just an extended screensaver.

There's also The Secret World which might or might not take a considerable piece of the MMO cake.

Fallout Online
Concept art looks pretty nice. But I have my doubts this will ever be finished, unless some investors jump in.

What are you playing now
Half Life: Source. Despite it's age, it still sprays so much charm and fun. A true classic. That leaves me wondering: What's up with that Black Mesa project? Ist that still alive?

The official E3 2010 thread of waggle
Since TOR is story-based and everything will be VOed, I wonder how they keep up with all the updates for new areas, quests etc. They constantly have to have VO sessions for mere updates. Sounds like a hassle. Personally, I bet when TOR comes out it will sell like 3-4 million units so that people get an idea what this is all about. A month later, they drag their asses all back to WoW, leaving only a few 100k subscibers left. A year later, Johnny decides to shut down Bioware Austin.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
Too bad I'm not so much into these open world RPGs. I prefer the linear Dragon Age/AP/ME type of RPGs.
