The fact that Gawker has been held liable for damages that may or may not run them out of business and consequently indirectly punish their employees (both those guilty and not guilty of the wrongdoing that's causing Gawker to be held for damages) is, by my own estimation, primarily Gawker's (and their guilty employees') fault, not anybody else's. I feel bad for those who haven't done anything who may lose their jobs as a result, but I blame solely Gawker and their fellow employees who did wrong for it. If Gawker doesn't have the money to get away with doing illegal stuff...then maybe they shouldn't have done that illegal stuff. You won't see me saying, "But I don't have the means to withstand the results of a murder trial!" after I decide to murder somebody and get arrested for it, even if it hurts the rest of my family and friends in the process. ...P.S. I prefer just being openly aggressive rather than passive-aggressive, personally...but that's just me.

Yeah, it's a good thing I didn't like, you know, mention other things being included in those safety precautions that I've stressed multiple times, like lights on his vehicle that he was driving on the road at night or anything, otherwise your argument would've totally fallen apart!

No, but lights on his vehicle that he was driving on a road with other other vehicles during the night that without evidently made him invisible to others would've - or simply not driving on the road with a vehicle that has no lights would've also prevented his death in this situation. I'm not sure if it's illegal to be doing what he did, but clearly, legality doesn't match up with reality even if it's not, since he's now dead as a result of a horrific accident that could've been prevented had proper safety precautions been exercised, as I said (and if everyone involved hadn't been additionally horribly unlucky). No, a helmet wouldn't have prevented the accident, but it may have prevented his death. I am sorry, but if somebody jumps in front of my vehicle while I am driving, and gives me little to no opportunity to prevent the oncoming horrific accident because they didn't exercise proper safety precautions that would've let me seen that they were there before I was already running them over, and I end up ending their life as a result of this situation, well, it's suffice to say that I don't think there's any way you're going to convince me that the results of the situation are not perfectly explainable by that person's actions (or lack thereof) in addition to simple awful luck. In addition, I would absolutely see myself (as well as him) as the victim of bad luck AND bad decision making. That's...simple reality, my friend: there's damage for all parties involved. Your words, not mine. You'll note that I said "either" in that sentence, the implication being that both are victims of bad luck and bad decision-making.

That seems just about the harshest way you could possibly describe a game.

Do we know if Sawyer is the lead designer (or the lead systems designer)? I can entertain notions of this game actually being enjoyable to play when we figure out that.

Uh...except this wasn't a crime purposely committed by one person against another person, it was a completely preventable accident. What, the person who ran over and killed Tray because Tray wasn't exercising proper safety precautions (and common sense) isn't a victim, either? They're probably traumatized for life because of the guy's foolishness. I feel terrible for all parties involved, and nobody deserved anything to happen to them...but something did happen, and there are fairly obvious reasons as to how that something did happen to occur. That's reality...and it's not "blaming the victim", either - blaming the victim would be saying Tray deserved to die, or that he deserved to be run over. I don't think anyone deserved anything to happen to them - just like I don't believe you deserve to be robbed because you left your doors unlocked. It was a horrible accident...but that doesn't mean there aren't reasons as to how it managed to occur.

I didn't have full details of the incident when I said "not his fault". That sounds like a very significant part of his fault. Still horrible, though.

With all the utter garbage they continue to put out in "the live action movie game", the only thing that surprises me is that they're still not losing here. Hmph.

Tray Walker, CB for the Ravens, passed away today due to a horrific motorcycle accident from a day or two ago, may he rest in peace. From what I heard, the accident was in no way his fault, but he was not wearing a helmet at the time, which may or may not have saved his life if he had been. Regardless, still very unfortunate.

Which boss? Also, always try to get human help. It's a lot more useful than the stupid ai who will let itself get killed easily. Psh, even the AI help - nevermind other players - can be abused so badly in Souls games if you work the boss right to change its targeting between you and the AI constantly - basically renders a boss useless. Only time I ever used summoning was in DS1 when it was necessary to unlock some particular items. In Bloodborne, you actually have to *pay* to summon others, whether AI or players, which I can't help but pompously approve of. :D Although I still think the price is too low...

Particularly seeing as how Trump isn't even that conservative, and appears to be winning the nomination...

Some of these chalice dungeons in Bloodborne are pretty brutal. Super Abhorrent Beast in the Loran Chalice dungeon is quite possibly the most brutal boss I've ever played against in a Souls game. I learned him well enough (read: died to him a couple dozen times), though, that when I faced him AGAIN in the LOWER Loran Chalice dungeon (because screw me, I guess), I was able to actually beat him on my first try. What a jerk of a game.

I've had...uh...anti-acid reflux(?) since I was a small child. Was always incredibly annoying when people told me to just take some tums to fix it...especially because I absolutely abhor the taste of tums...and it never did anything, because, well, it was the opposite of acid reflux, even though it had the same symptoms. It was fantastic to finally get it properly diagnosed, especially because I love acidic foods. Give me a dozen limes, and I'll give you a dozen eaten limes in 30 minutes.

I think we can agree that what's considered "natural", at least by the vast majority of people in regards to your longevity is going to be limited to things that occur within just your nature, though. Nobody's going to say you "died of natural causes" if you were killed by a tree falling on your head.

I get the opposite of acid reflux - not enough acid. Feels pretty much the same as acid reflux in regards to symptoms and pain (so much so, that it's frequently misdiagnosed as acid reflux...), but the cure is to eat oranges, limes, grapefruit, etc. instead of Tums (...which will make it so much worse if you do try). I'd rather have that than acid reflux, so you have my sympathies.
