  1. Firefox as well. I remember that when I tried to link from the wikia a month back or two, I had similar problems, while whenever I link from my own dropbox account (or imgur), there are never any problems, so I'm fairly confident it's an issue with the wikia sites. lmao @ them, looking real swell. Also, good news: got the first four episodes, I'll be watching them shortly - hurray, go me, woo, great...really looking forward to it.
  2. I tried that, but it didn't work. Similarly, that link you just posted also doesn't work - it's still the tiny version. I don't think it's the forum software's fault (surprisingly), but I think a problem instead with hotlinking from the wikia. What happened to poor Naru? Looks like a shapeshifter-approximated version of her, .
  3. There's an R Movie, S Movie, and SuperS Movie. None of them are important to the story in any way, but they're fun and solid enough (well, I haven't seen the SuperS one yet). @majestic That does not look like good art, although it's a little difficult to tell for sure at the small resolution. Regarding Steven Universe:
  4. Does anyone know if the Sailor Guardians ever dress up as lowercase sailors at some point? It would be an awful shame if they didn't. I almost feel like I have a memory of them doing so already in some past season, but it might be a false memory. I forgot that this was also the episode where the villains actually got away with stealing a Crystal Heart for the first time...except the monster randomly decided to be a pal and make sure that Hotaru was feeling okay. Whoops.
  5. Can't recall that happening either, not even back to season 1. Outside of one-off episode exceptions, it's always Usagi being a problem with Rei, Chibi-Usa, and Mamoru, .
  6. It's the same with Usagi and Chibi-Usa, really - beginning of R the relationship was totally adversarial and only worked/were together because they had to be, by the end of S they had seemingly developed a bit of a genuine mother-daughter relationship and solved most of their problems, and now...and now they constantly switch between the end of S and the beginning of R states within the same episodes for no real reason, and it's bizarre.
  7. Yeah, that's kind of more how I imagined it going, but for some reason, it didn't. And yeah, although that Makoto episode was pretty good, it had such a dour ending (even if they tried to force it not to) that it decidedly felt un-Sailor Moon-ish. I'll let you know about the Sailor Stars stuff when I get to it. @KP: Hm, odd: usually, when Rei and Usagi are fighting, I pretty much always think it's Usagi's fault that things escalate. Sure, Rei sometimes says something a little sharp, but Usagi always reacts so badly and usually starts to get violent. Hope you enjoy the dentist episode - I did!
  8. Alright, good to know, but I'll probably wait until the season is over to give it one last hurrah. Love and Beauty Shock actually made me a little sad - Love Me Chain is my favorite attack, and it seems whenever they get new attacks, the old ones are immediately phased out even if the attacks fulfill different purposes, (...although I think they have very rarely cast old attacks, like Ami casting Bubble Spray every blue moon, and I think Makoto has even done one or two Supreme Thunders as well). @Hotaru: Nice, glad I settled on that instead of Sailor Suicide, although that one ended up being pretty prophetic too, now that I think about it... The idea was decent, because it's something that's...almost come up a number of times but has been neatly averted or otherwise side-stepped, but yeah, sadly, the execution was...not good.
  9. I did see that and was like "wat" but I'm pretty sure I skipped past his dialogue after because I just can't handle him or his voice. Anyone remember Hotaru and how she made it so that Chibi-Usa had a friend to hang out with and wasn't obsessing after Mamoru? I remember...
  10. "damming" is that a water joke because it was an ami episode
  11. That's fair - the basic elements were indeed very similar. Relative to the first half of the season, though, it was a masterpiece, .
  12. That Nazi thing sounds hilarious, although I'd probably be tempted to photoshop a character into being a Nazi rather than use an actual real life one. I could probably turn Lisa Simpson or Pearl or somebody else into a Nazi. ...Although, uh, why do it yourself when somebody apparently already has for you? Apparently many of my favorite cartoon characters are actually white supremacist symbols deep into the darkest places on the internet - who knew?
  13. Those scenes are gonna be so much better with the English voice cast, I can already tell! I can already imagine Minako's ridiculous voice as she's yelling at random passerbys that they're actually assassins or whatever. It was weird to hear Ami talk about her father and his apparent inability to communicate like a normal human being and absence from home. Didn't feel like something you'd just suddenly bring up out of the blue in the fourth season of a five season show, . Nice. Well, in that case, at least it was for a good cause: do Skarpen and Bruce next, .
  14. Episode 152: Episode 153, this is a legitimately great episode:
  15. It's hard not to notice that a lot of the not-Usagi/Chibi-Usa Sailor Guardian-centric episodes have tended to be highlights of their respective seasons. It's kind of a shame they didn't have more of them - I could've done with more Ami, Makoto, Minako, and Rei episodes, even episodes that aren't necessarily strictly about some of their biggest personality quirks (as much fun as it is for Minako to keep upping how how crazy she is, my favorite episode of hers is still the more serious "I'm getting screwed by life AND I'm a screw-up and I don't like it BUT ALSO I'm not going to do anything about it!" one she had near the beginning of S). Too young to have experienced the bulletin board systems of olde, though I've seen enough of them to know that I think I'm glad for forum-based software instead - it's the new social media systems geared at hosting a trillion different sub-conversations for massive amounts of comments and participants that grind my gears...but I stay off of those anyways, so it works out. *googles "define slash fiction"* Well guys, it was fun watching Sailor Moon with you all, but I have to find another forum. Sayonara!
  16. @majestic They were in-studio introductions, solo interviews, and group interviews done by Viz itself (...I'm fairly certain), they were extras included in the new physical releases. I believe the one where Amanda Miller was talking about being Makoto was a group interview where all of them were asked "what's your relation if any to Sailor Moon, had you heard of it before becoming part of the cast?", and Amanda sort of just took over a big chunk of it because she was very obviously the Sailor Moon turbonerd of the group (although again, if I'm recalling correctly, Rei and Minako were also fans - Amanda was very passionate about it, though). I actually did a search of YouTube for these Viz interviews, but sadly, I didn't see any online. Episode 149: It was pretty whatever. The creeps are no more - at least until I have to go back and watch those first four episodes. Episode 151: (e): Some VAs definitely take it as just a job. As someone who's been watching cartoons my entire life, I tend to have appreciation for the VAs who are "close" to their characters as well being down-to-earth (speaking of, the SU VAs are another one of my favorite sets of casts, and I've watched a lot of silly stuff with/about them - Rebecca Sugar very specifically picked them for their personalities in addition to their voices).
  17. No, I haven't watched it yet - I've been watching like a dozen SU episodes because I'm a crack addict and can't stop watching. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Thanks for putting some words into my feelings, because all of what you just said is how I felt even if I didn't know exactly how to describe it: their stories are really messed up and it feels like they got screwed at every turn, both in and out of universe. This shouldn't have been how all of this went down - it feels grossly tragic on multiple levels, for literally everyone (ourselves, the villains, our heroes, and every other random character sullied with this sorry affair). Well, I'm gonna keep doing what I've been doing and blame Naoko Takeuchi for this mess, . If I ever re-watch SuperS (...doubtful?), I may try to take a slightly kinder eye towards this first half of the season...but it still wouldn't make it any less painful, I think.
  18. "I sure wish Biden was a dictator that could just unilaterally decide anything and everything for us." Notice how tens of millions of people who voted for him AREN'T asking for that? Yeah: it's kind of an important distinction.
  19. Somehow, I'm more annoyed by Pegasus when he shows up than the three creeps - it's just that the three creeps showed up a lot more often and actually did bad things to characters we care about. I think it's because at least...they're supposed to be villains, and I guess they're basically brainless animals that were cursed to be horrible by Zirconia? While Helios is just a weirdo creep that we're not supposed to find a weirdo creep, but he most certainly is. You know, if they had given Helios a nice, not pedophile-sounding girl voice actress with some less weird-sounding dialogue, Pegasus probably would've automatically been a vastly improved character. Of course, then he would've been a different character entirely. Honestly, I am really truly conflicted in regards to how I feel about the creeps...as CHARACTERS. In regards to how the show handled them and what the writers forced them to do, they're the worst - for sure. But as characters and the sorry lots in life they were given...I have a small amount of empathy for them, messed up as that is. And maybe the fact that they were so absolutely screwed over by the show and its writers - in a kind of meta sense, I guess, because there's no reason that they had to be this horrible when you look at the history of other Sailor Moon low-level villains, and the fact that new information made all of their crimes completely pointless IMMEDIATELY after they were to be replaced. There were...funny and likable (villain) characters buried somewhere deep inside of them - we saw hints of it occasionally - that just weren't allowed to shine, while they got saddled with the dirtiest work possible. It's a shame. (e): Just saw your edit - glad you watched it, I thought it was pretty good. I didn't remember her basically calling Crystal crap, but then again, I didn't really know much about Crystal except that I didn't like the animation style when I watched it a few months back, so I probably didn't pay much attention to what she said about it. I liked hers, Rei's, and Minako's interviews best. Rei's was funny because she's basically the complete opposite of her character, while Minako...seemed like she was basically her character personified as well, .
  20. I'm retiring the spoiler tags for SuperS, screw this. Uh...honestly, they were a little underwhelming. I expected their big introduction to be wackier and more over-the-top, but instead they kind of just stood around and didn't do much. Well, I guess their big introduction was probably the previous episode? I'll have to watch that and find out. Or not - does it matter? ...I guess I should, just so I've """completely""" watched the season, once I also watch the first...four, was it, episodes that I missed, and also ignore that I've skipped several minutes of most episodes. This is just not a good season. I think I'll write a little more on the three creeps once I actually watch episode 149. @InsaneCommander Yeah, I'm reminded a little of Mimette. Actually, I thought I HEARD Mimette's voice actress for one of them in this English dub, but I wasn't entirely sure because it's obviously a different voice and they didn't speak too much...
