I'm just gonna finish this. Episode 36 an episode technically sailor moon I guess officially the last episode of Sailor Moon SuperS, I finally made it
-
What if you're someone that thinks S is the best (i.e. of the objective highest quality by various measures) but whose actual favorite is still season 1? I have the fondest feelings for season 1 - perhaps because it was the first, perhaps because it had some attributes that the other seasons didn't have (like more random and low-key episode concepts, less Mamoru nonsense since he hadn't really joined the group yet, the girls' relationships still being in their infancy, probably being the funniest season, etc.). Not to worry, I didn't, . Similarly, I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about the show until the second season as well - I just knew I wanted to see where it was going. Ugh. Well, that's boneheaded. Apparently, Kevin Sorbo himself claimed some responsibility for it. As if anyone needed ANOTHER reason to hate Kevin Sorbo...

I initially read this one very differently until I noticed that there were double 'R's at the end. Phew, that was a close one.

I do wonder if you'll enjoy it. It seems like majestic is enjoying it well enough, but my impression is that he's not (YET?) in love with it. We'll see if that changes. If he doesn't love it by the time he hits what's probably my favorite run of episodes in the series (assuming he makes it that far, which is the second half of season 2 continuing for a bit into season 3 - the end of season 2 runs directly into the first chunk of season 3*), then I'm probably a worthless hack fraud and you guys can launch my sorry hide from a trebuchet or whatever is the anime equivalent out of this thread. It's a show that's...kind of difficult to ever recommend without caveats because, well, as I'm sure majestic can attest to, it can be a bit all over the place, especially with how it starts for like the first 10 episodes where it seems like it's going to be purely a goofy/slightly off-color kids' show. * (explanation of development issues because of Cartoon Network shenanigans)

Yeah, I've done stuff for specifically that effect too - something like 60-120 seconds and then a 1-3 second alternative version before going back to the normal version. I don't think basically anyone ever notices, though - the chances of someone sitting on a page with specifically my avatar on screen while actually happening to be looking at it when it occurs is probably very unlikely. If even one person gets weirded out by it, though, it'll all have been worth it.
-
Not exactly the point of the thread, but: Brother of NBA Rockets player Damien House's wife and three children killed by drunk driver while driving 115mph with a .15 BAC. Perhaps it's my unfortunate and much too frequent personal experiences with irresponsible users of alcohol speaking (indeed, it was to my great relief that when my drunk-driving father died, he did not kill anyone else on his way out), but I truly wish nothing but lonely misery for those who put other people's lives at risk by driving while impaired. There are so many other ways to put yourself in danger or harm yourself that don't involve putting others' lives at risk that everyone is entitled to pursue if they so wish - don't be absolute scum, please.
-
When I've had two versions of an avatar I can't decide on, I would create a two frame gif out of them where the second frame would be on like a 60 second delay.
-
That first episode was basically "we want to make a billion DBZ references, how do we do that without breaking our universe...oh, by setting it in a DIFFERENT universe, OBVIOUSLY!". Well, you're past the group of weirder episodes I mentioned, .

In the new English dub, Chibi-Usa (wisely) mentions that she's going to get ready for bed right before, so at least you have a little context to help prepare you. In the original English dub, it's written so suddenly and awkwardly that without actually seeing the next part, well...you get that. Episode 162

VERY WELL, SEND IT OVER...but don't be surprised if it fries my brain or if I have to move to a different country Just watched episode 34. For a story episode, it was...well, besides the melodrama, pretty decent! Huh. Some good imagery and some funner bits in between the Chibi-Usa/Pegasus 'conversation' and the BIG REVEAL (lol) towards the end.

On one hand, I'd hate to leave someone hanging without checking out what they made. On the other hand, there's absolutely no possible way I'd actually enjoy whatever monstrosity it is that you made. Tough call.

Speaking of, does anyone know the legality of stealing mail off of someone else's doorstep that's actually yours? A handful of years back, I once had a package delivered that I knew the rough dimensions of in advance, the package said it was delivered one morning, but it was nowhere to be found. Did a circuit around the block and spotted what looked to the right box on someone else's doorstep, and just went up and looked at it, saw it was addressed to me, and made off with it - see ya later. In retrospect, pretty dumb to do, seems like a good way to get the cops called on you, but I'm wondering if it's actually illegal to do that. (e): Also, it's still cold enough up here that we got a light snow last night. Yay.

That's the one! There's probably some turbo-nerd out there that's made a list of all the outfits everyone has had over the series - there always is.
-
Don't pick on Rei, that's like literally *the* most memorable outfit anyone has in this entire show. I don't remember what season it is, but there's a frame of her mean-mugging probably Usagi while holding a bag and wearing them that's emblazoned in my brain.

@ArtistFormerlyKnownasKP I hate to do this, but... Remember, they censored Uranus and Neptune by turning them into 'cousins', but they didn't censor or even try to explain this: @majestic Oh, so the Japanese VA is weird and sucks too. Maybe not quite as bad as the English versions, but still bad.
-
-
Yeah, I thought that was hilarious - you guys weren't the only ones!
-
Dang it, I was literally going to repost the Usagi Oh My God video I just made earlier after reading that. Also, I told you the English voice actor for him was creepy and uncomfortable! I don't think I've ever even heard the Japanese VA for him - hope it's not as bad. Luckily, I stick to the Sailor Moon Says channel where everyone seems to agree that Pegasus is a creep: >This horse needs to go to jail. >Jeez why is everyone trying to be cousins in this show. >Rini: How will I know heβs the one for me? Pedosus: π_π >creepy deep voice "What are you doing? You'll make a beautiful bride Rini." >If this is Utena instead the horse would be the bad guy.
-
I haven't given up! I'm just scared since apparently the last 6 episodes are all main story episodes and that seems like more than should be allowed under the Geneva Conventions of War given the increasing appearances of Pegasus. The Fourth Geneva Convention, Part III, Article 32, Providing Excellent Guard Against Suspicious Ungulate Species, also known as the Pegasus Protocol, explicitly states that the involved parties... Japan signed the Geneva Conventions of War after 1953, so I'm not really sure how they got away with this one. Unfortunately, this article does leave a loophole where we can be violently subjected to extinct ungulates, so one does need to watch out for species such as steppe bison and the megaloceros, but fictional species are quite clearly covered by the Conventions.

Just got my first dose literally like fifteen minutes ago. I'll let y'all know if I die. They also gave me a bag of skittles for my trouble - they were giving them out for people who got the vaccine. Haven't had them in years, so there is that, .

What Are you Playing Now: Living the Good Life
Bartimaeus replied to Amentep's topic in Computer and Console
I'm not a base-building sort of guy and...I also didn't have the heat-absorbing batteries, either. Let me just reiterate that it was a terrifying experience where I had very little resources left by the end, . -

Nothing will ever beat the odyssey that was deciding to NOT build the Cyclops and instead just going full steam ahead with just the Prawn Suit to traverse the Lost River completely blind down into the Inactive Lava Zone. Best/worst decision I ever made, because it was so slow, and terrifying, and it was impossible to see where the hell I was supposed to be going. It was terrible, but also a great and unique experience. On a second playthrough, I built the Cyclops, and marveled how much easier, quicker, and safer that whole trek was. -

Oh no, I actually like them a bit too. My internal comparison was the Spectre Sisters, but funner and nicer to each other. Don't worry - it's not movies, it's just anime. What are they going to do, send catgirls to kill you? - Man ripped to shreds by catgirls

Yeah, and I just checked, they don't seem to do any regional differences - even if I'm VPN-ing from Germany, they still only offer the U.S. version of the site and require what looks like U.S. cable providers. So...big nope to that. My suggestion? Find a VPN you can buy just a month of for like $5 and go find an illegitimate source, .
