  1. So killer, they apparently don't allow Americans...or Canadians, to hear it. Typical. Had to take a quick trip over the pond to hear the song, . Literally everything about this from the trailer looks like it was made for the complete opposite of me. The humor style, the subject matter, the way the film looks...it's all the makings of a truly anti-Bartimaeus film, . And now that you mention it, I guess I don't really usually enjoy satire. I have a site that keeps track of what movies I watch and what I thought of them, and I'm going down the list of the few hundred movies I've watched over the last ~5 years, and it appears I watched...exactly two satires, and both directly on the advice of Lindsay Ellis (Blazing Saddles and The Producers; RIP her online career, by the way - cancelled for criticizing Disney, hell of a way to go). Also, while you were screwing around writing about that, I finished season 3, so take that! ...But you'll be ahead of me soon enough again, I suppose.
  2. The poster for this movie, which I've not heard of until just now, looks like this: Judging solely by this poster, this looks like a...not very good comedy-action-war movie that was generated by an AI. No, I have not seen it, .
  3. Man, what're you doing, just watching SU all day? Good lord, every time I think I'm getting close to caught up, you're another half season ahead, . I'm just gonna have to start skipping some of the less important ones...
  4. We need to start a #FreeChibiUsa campaign targeted at Naoko Takeuchi.
  5. @ArtistFormerlyKnownasKP The thing I was immediately struck by with the first few episodes of Sailor Stars is that the tone feels wildly different to me - in a good way. It's both...more lighthearted as well as appropriately serious when it needs to be (also the serious parts haven't just been characters awkwardly standing around while threatening and screaming at each other like all of the end of SuperS was), and I didn't feel this dreadful disconnect like I did with SuperS where the content is actually kind of horrifying and yet the show is playing pretty much everything for laughs like we're back in season 1 where all the villainous plots were silly schemes to steal people's energy. If they wanted to have that tone again, you could...but the content needed to be, well, not what it was, and it needed to not come at the sacrificing of character development already made in previous seasons. It also helps that a few of our main characters haven't been constantly insulting and yelling and screaming at each other...and the Albino Rhino seems to be ever so mercifully gone. In just the three episodes I watched, Usagi seems like a completely different and much more likable, intelligent, and reasonable person - much more like what I remember from my increasingly faint memories of S. Gosh, thinking about it, I really legitimately feel like I was kind of abused physically and mentally by SuperS - and that was with loads of skipping. You said Chibi-Usa saying "Twinkle Yell" every episode made you want to kill yourself? I only heard her say it literally like 2-3 times the entire season because I skipped so much...you poor bastard.
  6. Unfortunately, I can't address any of your musings. Well, I mean, I can...but, you know, I can't. I am very interested to see how you...react to an episode that's coming up very soon.
  7. Horribly busy day, didn't have time to read your post until just now.
  8. "You think we'll judge him? Remember, if there's anyone who knows about being different, it's us!" *literally 30 seconds later* "DONKEY FACE" "HORSE FACE" "ALBINO RHINO" "YETI BOY"
  9. Escape inconsistently closing sub/menus is a serious pet peeve of mine. I remember when I tried to play one of the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Editions, they made what were previously consistently closing menus in the original games no longer closable via escape. I take my keyboard shortcuts very seriously - that one little change drove me quite mad.
  10. Good point - even though we're dealing with Nehellenia again, it does feel more like an attempt of a continuation of S otherwise instead. Episode 3:
  11. Not-a-Hack-Fraud Status officially confirmed, . Episode 2 of Sailor Stars:
  12. The X-Files/Cops episode is actually pretty great, though, .
  13. Yeah...I warned you. I'm so sorry - I had one of those Dr. Phil seizures... yep, there he goes again ...when I watched that episode for the first time. Luckily, that's the only episode of the entire series that's like...that. That's what we call a """crossover""" episode - or, more pragmatically put, a network-forced advertisement for a completely unrelated show that the Crewniverse (name for the SU development team) were trying to do their best to roll with and make not completely insufferable. This is an episode I haven't seen since the first time I watched the show - I skipped it on my previous rewatch. For you, I'll rewatch it.
  14. Episode 1 of Sailor Stars!
  15. I started watching roughly early October last year (according to the date of the first post I made on the subject). I've seen 166 episodes, plus three movies that I'll count for 3 episodes apiece, for a total of 175. It's been approximately 140 days since I started watching, so 1.19 episodes a day.
  16. Oh, also, actually replying to what you said about Full Disclosure:
  17. Okay, now that makes sense, because...well, yeah, it was the season finale.
  18. Okay, that's what I thought you were talking about at first, but I didn't expect you to go right past the season finale without saying anything about it, so I had to come up with an alternative explanation that made sense to me, . Since you're now on season 2, just a little word of warning: got a group of sillier, lowkey episodes to start the season, then a lot better stuff after that. There's a really dumb episode that's not even canon called "Say Uncle" that you'll have to please excuse - Cartoon Network interference, .
  19. Uh...Open Book, right? Though I'm not certain what you mean by that! If I have the wrong episode and you haven't actually seen it, then don't read the following spoiler:
  20. I'm not much one for donuts to begin with (indeed, I haven't had any for years - just not my thing), but my experiences with Krispy Kreme in particular have been less than positive - I swear they use the softest, sweetest, soggiest dough possible for their donuts. What does it even matter what they taste like when the texture is so bad?
  21. Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie!
