  1. I would try posting this complaint also on this forum: http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewf....html?forum=121 It also gets developer visits and occassionally even ATARI visits, so the increased exposure will improve your chances of getting your issue noticed. Try posting it both in a separate thread and in one of the sticky threads on top.
  2. I have never played SW:G, as I don't play MMOs, so I have no idea how suitable its combat system would be to KOTOR III.
  3. As far as sequels go, I am wondering if we will ever see Warcraft IV now that the Warcraft universe was usurped by the World of Warcraft. I am not sure how MMORPGs imact the story of the world, though, so it may be difficult.
  4. Actually, there are some visible differences. For example, the green panel is longer on the top card than on the bottom one.
  5. It does not change the fact that the MotB is third... but yes, the Witcher seems to be winning all of these online polls where MMORPGs do not show up.
  6. Voted! MotB is third at the moment.
  7. Considering the circumstance, MotB did rather well!
  8. I am looking forward to this.
  9. So did I of course! Well, I guess it does seem to be getting good publicity.
  10. As long as it moved you to the next category of voting, I think it is normal. As a side note - there are two relevant categories for us: The PC RPG of the Year ... and... the Overall PC Game of the Year
  11. Dark Sun 3 (I know, I know... but it would still be nice to see it!)
  12. Do they honestly do that? Yes. And if they don't answer because they don't like you, you have to shout "Joke!", "Boast!", "Coerce!" or "Admire!" in their face until they do like you. There's very little evidence that this works in real life. Ouch! That sounds like a horrid dialogue system. Thanks for the exposition. I, nevertheless, prefer the Bioware/Obsidian system of PC/NPC interaction.
  13. Star Wars, though, has inherent cinematic connotations, due to its derivation from the films. Hence the ruleset fits the setting rather well. As I already mentioned, I am rather less certain if similar rules would fit other settings.
  14. Do they honestly do that?
  15. I would not be too keen on such a skill system in D&D, but it does fit Star Wars, where characters are cinematic and all heroes can do at least a bit of everything (apart from perhaps using the force).
  16. I'm picking up Alora vibes here. Must maintain sanity. I am afraid I am missing the "Alora vibes" reference. Not even a google search for "Alora" or "Alora vibes" turned up anything related... Can you expound?
  17. Perhaps, but as I said, once I have been through the story of a roleplaying game I no longer wish to replay it. I feel like the story has been concluded and as if alternate versions would dilute the experience. Note that this does not mean that I do not enjoy a degree of choice in RPGs, because even if I won't get to see the consequences of other choices, it is still more satisfying when one's choices shape the story and it can usually be easily ascertained if that is the case in the particular game in question.
  18. Thanks for the elaborations! I might buy Fallout 3 if it gets good reviews and if it seems like it will have a style of gameplay that I will find appealing. That decision, though, will have to wait and see until after the game is released.
  19. That's the spirit! I also sometimes have trouble remembering passwords of sites I rarely visit or where I seldom log in. It is truly annoying that so many sites require registration these days.
  20. What technical parameters are best used to assess the power of a graphics card? I know about VRAM, clockspeed and vertex processors/shaders - what else is important?
  21. However, this is just one forum, and probably less than 450 people have contributed to those 23 threads.... Yes, but as you pointed out this is just one forum mostly filled with hardcore gamers... few other games would arouse such interest.
  22. KOTOR 3, MotB2 (read: another NWN2 expansion, Warcraft IV, HOMM VI and a couple of other sequels.
  23. I have not played any Bethesda games yet, but I have heard that they seem to have great freedom of exploration, but lack a strong storyline. Sadly, for me the story is of paramount importance in CRPGs. That said, a company can be capable of creating a different style of game from what it usually does.
  24. The fact that there were 23 sanctioned previous threads on this topic, each apparently running for tens of pages really underscores just how popular the KOTOR franchise is and hopefully gives Lucas Arts and developers some indication of the interest in a continuation...
  25. I only play a CRPG once, since the first time I run through the story I have crafted THE story for myself. Hence 'boredom' in further replays is not an issue and hence I stay on the light side/good side all the time.
