2006 FIFA World Cup
and here I hoped for a germany-england final...bummer you know, we have a chant here we sing to cheer us up (heard in yesterdays half time - things looked a little grim back then) that is: "ohne Holland fahrn wir nach Berlin" [without holland we go to Berlin]...just a side note to all the friendly dutchmen around these party of the 'net (on another side note: I was on the dutch side in the match against portugal...I like the netherlands and all netherlands-related products)

It's not really German what it speaks. The words are, but syntax and grammar are false. Looks like an internet translation. Maybe it's a crazy robot, or a crazy spammer.- Animal Pictures
that's a pity...but the site is cool...thanks- Animal Pictures
that is a marvellous picture...is there a larger version to be found somewhere? cute-input: a dog- The funny videos thread
That is not German. Maybe its Dutch or Danish. Or some muppets mimic German out of variations of 'Achtung' and 'Stop'. This is German: Wir sind Helden - Wenn es passiert funny video: Movies Kick Ass!- 2006 FIFA World Cup
ah, what a game...what a thrill...showed that Klinsmann (the coach) really changed things...never saw a german team with such a moral- 2006 FIFA World Cup
As I'm watching quite a lot of NBA recently I got the idea that one reason why soccer isn't that popular with USA-TV is that one half-time is 45 minutes long. 45 minutes without proper ad-time. Other famous US-sports have lots of advertisement possibilities, while you would have to blend ads over the actual game in soccer (and a goal could happen any time), or go without it for the time. Just a theory (that is not fully thought through), but maybe...- Animal Pictures
Tim Schafer claims to be the one who made the picture.- 2006 FIFA World Cup
This portugal game was boring. A very boring kind of boring. Costa Rica wasn't the best test to measure the capabilities of the German team, but it was worth watching (those two marvelous lucky-shots) and it heightened the hopes that we won't embarrass ourselves in the our own country. I'm hooked.- Pics of your games: Reloaded

...but her eyes are so unnaturally big. And I mean her eyes, not her 'eyes' (those are as big as ever - plus/minus). Looks like they infected her with manga. A railed jump'n'run/breast-showoff...I'm so not buying it.- short little Half Life 2 q&a
(kind of) Thanks so far. And the German version would be the problem, because German versions tend to be crap. With a big project like HL2 this might not be a problem, but I'd rather stick to the original. My research (yeah, right) on HL2 boards had the result, that it seems to be possible. But I'm not that sure. Can someone confirm the language-change-thing? madre de dios, es el pollo diablo it is- short little Half Life 2 q&a
I haven't bought HL2 yet, for no real reason, but maybe some stumbling blocks. I want to play the english language version, but not living in english-world it's at least a bit harder. I heard (or dreamed) that you can change the language (the spoken and written stuff, not the censored blood'n'gore fun) via steam. You selecet the language and then small steam-monkey translate your HL2 version into english or french or monkeyspeech tepending on what you chose. Is that true? Does it work with a version bought in a store? thanks- The Ferret Conspiracy
They still have those links to the interviews with fancy Lead Designer Ferret Baudoin on the main page. And now he is gone. Strange. Word from the involved parties would be nice. Until then it's bad news.- Pics of your Games
Oh, and patch it. With the unofficial (but made by a former developer) ones. When you still encounter problems there is a near-death community on Planet-Anachronox. They know and they answer (or have already answered) but you might have to wait.- Spiderweb Games
What's with story, characters and overall writing in this games?- Pics of your Games
Ooo. that looks like a good game. Is it fun? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's light on the RPG-side (it is an RPG in a FinalFantasy kind of way) and heavy on the story and character (both western-style) side. It is often hilarious - in fact one of the funniest games - but nonetheless sometimes sad and tragic and emotional. It takes place in a cyber-punkish future but the character related parts of the story (and the characters themselves) would fit in a forties film-noir. Not flawless (patch it!), but creative and at the end one of those games you are sad that it's over.- Pics of your Games
The DoomIII-is-in-the-future-so-they-should-have-flaslights-on-the-weapons-argument sucks. Big time. Saying that it's unrealistic is kind of...oh, hello Mr Fireballthrowing-Imp from hell, welcome to DOOM. Okay, a game should still be consistent in its own world, but it's not like the developers missed the whole mount-light-on-weapon-thing, it's a decision they made for the 'good' of the game (for the price of some inner-logic...but then again, the entire Doom-world seems to have some serious illumination-problems). The text above is just the long version of: I liked it that way. One of those silly opinons - ignore it. But the pictures... Anachronox' Fatima and Sly - tragedy- Black Isle Compilation

The only kind-of special thing about my PC: with the new and shiny (and expansive) power supply unit and the fanless GF6600GT and some good cpu-fan it's a quite silent machine. All the ones with water-cooling: shut up! I don't like you.- Post your desktop!

Already own it (in europe it was released months ago) and played it and can say: it is the (THE) good example of a mid-price-game. It is fun (more fun than most full-price-crap), it is rather short (but longer than some fps), it looks good (not eye-bleeding-good but, oh, the shadows) and it is quite simple (not speaking of the level of difficulty but the game mechanics - run around and shoot stuff -> fun). If you look really hard you even see some pseudo-rpgish elements (the weapon upgrade thing). And for me not having played this kind of game (top-down-shooter) it felt frech. Good game, worth the money.- The "What did you just eat?" Thread
