  2. @Tigranes: Wow you're a mod now huh? Congrats man. I think I'll start a new thread regarding Iran. Wouldn't wanna go OOT here.
  3. @Tigranes: Yeah well after Iraq, you'll understand if I'm a 'bit' paranoid. To me, his opinion reveals part of his character and that's why McCain is the last person I wanna see serving as president of the US. And I am certain that there are those (americans) who agree with me. Don't you and GD remember history? Diplomacy always comes first! Look at the summit meetings between President Lyndon Johnson and Soviet Premier Alexei Kosygin in New Jersey in June of 1967 in the wake of the Six Day War. And the three meetings between Richard Nixon and Leonid Brezhnev between 1972 and 1974 (two of which were in Moscow), the first of which led to the signing of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty and the first Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty. Vietnam? Well let's just say the Soviets weren't shy in showing their 'partisanship.' And if you use McCain
  4. The first rule of American politics, take everything a candidate says with a grain of salt. Campaigns are rife with grandstanding and saber rattling. Now if a sitting President threatens military action it should be taken seriously. As far as Iran goes, so long as they do not do anything stupid like lob a nuclear weapon at Israel or give one to Al Qaeda I seriously doubt we will see a war with Iran. However if they do either of those or there is another terrorist attack on the US or UK they are complicit in you will see an all out war. You have got to be kidding me... The guy suggests that the United States should never talk to governments that are providing weapons or equipment to countries that are "used to kill US soldiers" or threaten the state of Israel. He's basically saying shoot first talk later and you're actually making excuses for him. Jeez..... I've never seen a US President, I don't care who he is, stand up to Israel. If the American people understood what a grip these people have got on your government, you would rise up in arms!! Obama will win the election. He has to...
  5. I sincerely hope Obama wins the presidential election. If he's elected, there's a real possibility of averting war with Iran. Here's a quote from McCain regarding Iran: Correct me if I'm wrong, but McCain seems intent on going to war with Iran.
  6. Daaaamn... I missed the Champions League Final match... Couldn't be helped I suppose since it's being broadcast at 2.30 AM in the frickin morning... but Man Utd was victorious so it's all good I guess. Oh and John Terry's my new hero! -------- @SteveThaiBinh They also have an Israeli manager.
  7. I agree. The thought of a police officer robbing/extorting the very ones they were supposed to protect sickens me.
  8. The Internet can be very dangerous. I agree with the girl's parents, something needs to be done.

    Family

I'm the eldest of three. I love my two brothers and absolutely adore my parents. I honor and cherish them like any good son should. Can't imagine what life would be like when it's time for either of them to go. Even now when I'm miles away from them with a family of my own (wife and a 1 1/2 year old son) I still communicate with them on a daily bases. When I was 12, we moved to LA as my parents were pursuing their masters degree at USC. I went to school there for a while and made a lot of friends. I even had a girlfriend there. My kid brother was born there making him, at the time, a green card recipient. Man... I could've been an 'Asian American.' But after 3 years and after I've had my fill of Burger Kings, we moved back to Indonesia. Unlike most of you here, I don't celebrate Christmas. My extended family gathers at least once a year during the Eid Al-Fitr after the holy month of Ramadhan. I love those family gatherings especially when my retarded uncle starts cracking his lame ass jokes. Things can get quite hilarious. I love my wife and son a lot! They're my whole life. I can honestly say to you that I can wake up each morning and say: "I want nothing more." I'm 100% content with what God has given me. As a closing, lemme just say that until you look into the eyes of your child, the only future you will ever care about is your own.
  10. Oh you're an Aussie? Well then let's put another shrimp on the barbie shall we? Seriously, the fact that your Australian doesn't change the absurdity of the post you made earlier. I mean c'mon.... You deemed Obama unworthy of the presidency just coz he has a 'sleazy' smile? Regarding East Timor I will make no defense. Our government under the Soeharto regime is infamous for their crimes against humanity, corruption, etc. So if you wanna insult/attack my government some more then more power to you man. Australia is a group of champions? Please I just had my dinner. Your government have been diminishing the number of the Aboriginal tribe and seizing their lands since way back when. And don't get me started on how inhumane your precious government treats its immigrants.
  11. That and the inherent bias in the western media. Now here on Yuusha managed to get on my nerves again. WESTERN MEDIA IS NOT BRAINWASHED/UNDER THE AMERICAN BIG BROTHER for 1224356346. time. And have you come to wonder that "your" (nice job showing ages old "us and them" menthality here. Hope you're proud of yourself ) media is atleast as biased as this some sort of an "western" media? Protip: Fox doesn't represent "western media". Protip 2: There's no such thing as zionist conspiracy that runs the world, media and american goverment and who wants to wipe heroic muslims of Palestine from this planet. Shocking revelation I guess Your post is amusing me somehow.
  12. I know that being a Jedi means that you can't love/get married, but what about sex? Are they allowed to have sex? And is it true that if you don't use it you lose it?
  13. @Sand: In regards to communism I disagree. During the 60's, the Indonesian Communist Party (ICP) were at its strongest. They were the only group powerful enough to have publicly assassinated their political foes. Countless civilians were massacred during their attempt to topple our government. People lived in fear of the ICP for their methods were merciless and brutal and it culminated in the assassination of 6 army generals. Those were dark times and I'm grateful that God somehow guided our nation to have conquered communism. -------------------------- @Guard Dog: That and the inherent bias in the western media. No disrespect intended, but with your current president's lackluster track record, I'm finding it rather difficult not to doubt the intelligence of american voters. Especially with posts such as these:
  14. It's sad that England didn't qualify. I guess I only have France to root for now. Btw, I hear Capello is taking over the three lions.
  15. You're kidding right? Obama was the one who consistently stood against the US' involvement in Iraq, while Hillary initially 'approved' Bush's decision only to turncoat after polls showed that most of the US citizen were against going to Iraq. I gotta admit though, Hillary has a nice smile. She has a crazy smile. But the joker's smile isn't as crazy as judging the politics, perspective, and intelligence of a person by how their face moves. Or are you simply saying you only want professional actors? True.... Perhaps Hillary should wear a burqa.
  16. @Krezack: You're kidding right? Obama was the one who consistently stood against the US' involvement in Iraq, while Hillary initially 'approved' Bush's decision only to turncoat after polls showed that most of the US citizen were against going to Iraq. I gotta admit though, Hillary has a nice smile.
  17. @GreasyDogMeat: What about before 1979? The US had no right to remove democratically elected government of Iran and then installed a dictator. What about Chile? I'm sure you're aware that Augusto Pinochet was also a dictator installed by the US. Do you know how many Chileans died because of him? Presidnet Arbenz of Guatemala was also forcibly removed by the US. 200.000 Guatemalans died in the process. The list goes on and on. Tragic mistakes? I don't think so. What are the US soldiers doing in Iraq again? They on a camping trip? That's a great site innit? Here's another great site http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/ Mr. Ahmadinejad is a great man. He knows that not all Jewish people are Zionists, so he avoids sweeping generalizations. He even invited a number of orthodox Jews to his conference regarding the historical validity of the holocaust. Now if Mr. Ahmadinejad is as apocalyptic as you claimed to be, there wouldn't be a single Jew left alive in Iran today. --------------------------- @Hurlshot: LOL. You mean I get to hang around a bunch of 'eager' chicks while getting high? I could definitely see the fun in it. But tell me something, what is the definition of 'free love?' I'm not trying to make a point or start a debate, I'm just curious. Contrary to what someone here said, I am NOT a hippie. --------------------------- @Tigranes: My point is that I'm able to acquire a lot of information regarding Muslims extremists and radicals. I know about 9/11 and other atrocities committed by Muslims because I, to a certain degree, hear both sides of the story. Muslim terrorists DO exist and I recognize and acknowledge that FACT. Most of us moderate Muslims do. The average American on the other hand do not understand WHY the US is being targeted by terrorists. I agree much with what you say. Although I must point out that I think what you're proposing here is a bit unrealistic. The US government would never allow any Muslim country to achieve certain level of developments. Be it through economic strangulations or military actions (this is an opinion and should only be treated as such). The US would never allow anything /anyone to threaten their hegemony. So even if we were to surrender Palestine and let Israel have their way, we won't ever be truly free to govern our own destiny. At the moment, we Muslims are a threat to the west. And I fear this is how it will remain for many more years to come.
  18. @Fionavar: Don't worry. I'll show proper respect. @GreasyDogMeat: You're a patriot aren't you GDM? Unfortunately, you're not a TRUE patriot. You're a BLIND patriot. You refuse to see the fact that your government (and its allies) are capable of committing atrocities to any government that opposes it. Here are some FACTS for you to digest: Introduction During 2007, there was tension between the USA and UK on one side and Iran on the other. In the Western media, Iran was being demonized as an aggressor. The following table shows what each side has done to the other since World War I. Only validated events (as opposed to accusations) are included. Note that most Western media accounts of tensions between USA-UK and Iran take the events of 1979 (called "the hostage crisis") as their starting point. This is an example of looking at the world through American (specifically USA) eyes. 1920s and 1930s: Acts Committed by USA-UK on Iran UK control of Iran's oil. UK pressure on the king of Iran to exclude other powers from development. Acts Committed by Iran on USA-UK Non existent ------------------------ 1941-1942 USA-UK on Iran UK, USA and Russia occupy Iran and exile the king, placing his son on the throne. (Aug 2007 - ?) USA threatens Iran with military action. Iran on USA-UK Iran takes 15 UK sailors hostage for 13 days. Still think Iran is evil? ------------------------------- @Gorgon: Good point. But I just wanna say that I see a pattern in the global news source that I find loathsome. They tell you that a Jewish state is democratic but a Muslim state is evil; that Palestinians living in Palestine have no rights and no state but Jews living in the rest of the world can 'return' and live there as rights-bearing citizens; that Jesus wants you in Palestine unless you are a Palestinian or a Muslim; that Washington, London and Tel Aviv can produce nuclear warheads but that Tehran is a global threat for daring to enrich uranium; that legitimate resistance is terrorism but state terrorism is 'self-defense'; that the desert state of Syria is Nasrallah
  19. @Tigranes: Ok ok.... Mr. The Architect, I'm sorry if I 'hurt'..... your feelings. I promise I'll be good from now on. Happy now? I suppose the information I receive IS biased to a certain degree. But I have to point out that I don't just watch Al Jazeera and other Islamic broadcasts, I also watch CNN, BBC, VoA and the likes while also surfing the net. Meaning that I pretty much have a kinda balanced sources of news from both sides (although I kinda agree with Sand about how 90% of CNN's content is an insult to his intelligence). I do not find Suicide bombers to be honorable because Islam clearly forbids the act of suicide. It practically means a one way ticket to hell with no chance of parole. And I am not anti western, I'm just against the US' foreign policy. I mean I like bands like System of a Down, Metallica etc and the reason why I joined this forum was basically because I'm a huge fan of KOTOR 1 & 2. Well the US seems to have no trouble championing just one side. Should I repost my list of US vetoes in favor of the Israelis? Well yeah I agree about the black and white thing. But out of curiosity, can you tell me how you would deal with the situation if you were in my place? I mean you're obviously very intelligent and seem to have high moral standards (This isn't sarcasm. I mean every word).
  20. @Volourn: Wow..... Such wisdom.... I mean... Wow.... Look in the mirror... Wow... Yeah... Dehumaning or dehumanizing? ------------------------ @Aram: But master.... The call of the dark side is strong..... ------------------------ @Calax: In 1982 Israel invaded Lebanon killing 17,500 people. No photographs of the victims were ever displayed in Western newspapers. No minutes' silence were held in any Western city. Over 1500 Palestinians (mainly women and children) were killed in Sabra and Shatila refugee camps by Christian militia while Israeli forces sealed the exits and illuminated the area. The USA had arranged a deal where the Palestinian leadership left Lebanon for Tunisia, promising that the families left behind would be protected by "the International Community". As a reminder, the refugee camps were in Lebanon because the inhabitants had been expelled from their homes in Palestine either in 1948 (when the State of Israel was set up) or 1967 (when the West Bank and Gaza were occupied). The Israeli Defence Minister in charge of the invasion, one Ariel Sharon, was found to be responsible for the massacre by a court in Israel. Such a person might expect to be tried for war crimes. In fact, he became Prime Minister of Israel and, twenty years later, was called "a man of peace" by the USA president, George W Bush. To add further insult to the pain and indignation felt by Arabs, between 1982 and 1983, the USA vetoed six separate United Nations resolutions condemning the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. One of the reasons the USA gave in 2003 when it invaded Iraq was "to uphold the authority of the United Nations". In September 2002, the anniversary of a terrorist attack in the USA (known in the West as 9/11 even though most of the world's countries write that date as 11/9) was remembered with silences held around the country and in Europe. A few days later, the 20th anniversary of the Sabra and Shatilla massacres that still anger the Arabs was completely ignored in the Western media. These double standards are a major cause of resentment against the West. I wonder if your highschool history teacher is aware of this.... ------------------------------------
  21. @Tigranes: I just like to add a disclaimer that I did not write the article you're referring to. But I do agree with every word of it. If fighting for your homeland is not considered honorable, then you tell me what the hell is? Look, I did not join this forum with the preconceived notion that I was smarter or more intelligent than everyone else here. But I do think that I just might be a bit more 'informed' with what's really going on between Israel and Palestine. I firmly believe that most 'western' people are not privy to these kinds of information due to the subjectivity of the western media. For most of the 20th century, we Muslims have been getting our asses kicked time and time again by the combined powers of Israel and the USA. We're constantly being insulted, ridiculed and demonized in the media so friggin much that some of us sometimes just want to 'submit' to the will of our oppressors. "Stop it! We've had enough... Just stop..." This is what one of my sisters said before breaking down in tears in my mosque when we heard news of yet another Israeli atrocity. My brothers? They're enraged. The word "JIHAD" was heard repeatedly. Me? I just sat there feeling like crap, cursing my powerlessness. Well, you get the picture. These are dark times we're facing. All I can do in behalf of my brothers and sisters in Palestine is to pray for them. So you'll understand if our definition of 'HONOR' slightly differs from yours.
  22. @The Architect: And this is why a common thug* like you would never triumph against a Jedi**. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you ask me the reason why I supported Mr. Ahmadinejad? And in response, I gave you my reasons. So what's the problem? Saying Israel is bad is an understatement, EVIL would be a fair description. And I'm not just saying that, I have proof to back it up. I can't say the same about you claiming Mr. Ahmadinejad to be a Hypocrite, while bringing nothing to the table. That's right little one, you don't know jack! So why don't you run along home and study history some more. First of all, how could you expect me to not doubt your sources when the best you can come up with is, "Information by some human rights activist named Ali Someone." Are you retarded? Lemme tell you something, there's lots of Alis out there. There's Ali Baba, Ali Akbar, Muhammad Ali, Ali Larter, PRINCE ALI and so on and so forth. SO WHICH ALI IS IT? Is this supposed to be an insult? Awwww.... I'm devastated. *Common thug: The Architect. **Jedi Master: Me.
