  2. Rogues and monks are probably equal in terms of effectiveness . I would even say monks are stronger then rogues. Beserkerers have some some significant and frustrating penalties. Hidden health, confused and raw damage are to much for me and I avoid berserkers simply because you don’t need them. You will do fine with a plain barb. Don’t forget wizard multis make good melee guys aswel
  3. You definately don’t reach max level after 30% of the game. Would be more like 70%
  4. The last patch came out only just recently so I am slightly concerned that it may be delayed what is the latest word with this. Also what are they planning to do in the patch anyone know? My wish list would be: 1. Fix mid to late levels POTD balancing!!!! 2. Fix guardian uzakio boss bug not showing up 3. Fix defensive mindweb on cipher 4. Buff druids and priests as they no where near as strong as wizards 5. Look at giving druids and priests more flexibility with spell choice as they don’t have access to grimoires 6. Give rangers more non pet based talents 7. Spamming sworn enemy and flames and devotions every single fight with paladins is just killing the fun with paladins. They need to fix this. There is only so many times you can do this before you go crazy.
  5. Wouldn’t the pollaxe be better if it hits 3 people for full SA? Citzals spirit lance is probably even better then that?
  6. yeah, i just say there's no special synergy between WotEP and swift flury/heartbeat druming. But for that Pollaxe that hit 3 target, all 3 attacks can trigger extra hits i think. So the pole axe will apply soul annihilation to 3 people?
  7. ah cool so it only applies SA to one target? Are there any weapons that apply SA to multiple targets? ps this is why i love these forums!
  8. I was thinking blackjacket so I could switch over to whispers OTEP to apply soul annilahation in the cone AOE quickly. Monk also looks cool. Also is biting or draining whip best for soulblade?
  9. Computer games arent the way to deal with it Absolutely DO NOT take any medication the doctors give you and try a hard cardio sport like kickboxing or Muay Thai and stick to it for a long time. Being alone and playing games not cool
  10. There is no "solo official mode" of any kind. It's your choice if you don't take any companions with you, but that's not really an intended way to play the game. Yes there is a solo mode . Its in the same window as the god challenges
  11. This. There's another time to talk about overall balance/difficulty. Berath and Abydon challenges look like a lot of fun, and I want to try them on my next playthrough. Magran's challenge doesn't appeal to me at all, as I have no idea what I'm doing with AI scripts, and those are going to be essential. Skaen's challenge could be interesting, or just an annoyance; I'd have to see it in-game to know for sure (incidentally, does the fog of war idea make more sense for Wael than for Skaen?). I like the overall concept of god challenges, that you can use them to customize difficulty. With this in mind, I wish they didn't force PotD and disable mods. Some spitballing for future challenges: * Galawain: Bounty hunters periodically track you down and attack (or maybe they can be bribed to leave you alone?) * Ondra: Sea monsters can attack your ship in open waters (possibly a text adventure) * Rymrgand: No health regen after encounters. Resting/consumables required. * Eothas: Difficulty of sneaking is dramatically increased. Yeah but they are called "challenges" Correct me if im wrong but what is the point in introducing " challenges" when the game is 100% completely and utterly broken on the mid to late levels?

I very clearly said there are hundreds of forums posts about people complaining about the mid to late levels not being balanced properly then i moved on to say that i am surpised that they are doing God challenges before fixing the broken game Lets not confuse what is "weird " and what is fact It is also more then fair enough to suggest that OBS introduce God challenges that directly make combat harder for the people that want it to be harder. What is so hard to comprehend about that? Why do you find that "weird"?
  13. Pallys are very strong. Problem is they are very boring in melee combat. Sworn enemy > Flames of devotion then rinse and repeat. Over and Over
  14. Dont bother Gildered eternity doesnt scale with the level 1 wizard spell that gives +3 AR They cancel each other out
  15. Yeah and i also think that is debatable that some of the challanges you are introducing arent actual challenges. I view them more as "inconveniences". For example having the fog of war reduced would to me be extremely annoying and i would never consider playing a game with this enabled. To me this is not challenging this would just annoy the crap out of me. I would prefer the challenges be directly more combat focused eg better enemy AI or higher level scaling In regards Magrans challenge where you cant pause the game and Breaths Challenge where if you are knocked out for 6 seconds you die. Why are you introducing stuff like this when there has been hundreds of Forums posts with people complaining about how easy the game is on the late levels. Surely resources could go towards fixing the mid to late game balancing which is currently in complete and utter ruin before introducing stuff like this. You are making these balancing problems even worse as you are releasing the DLCs because people are going to these new areas getting all the new loot and earning more exp and then coming back to the main game supercharged. I had to stop my playthrough at level 14 after i completed Beast of Winter because i was completely steamrolling the game. It was almost impossible to die. Please fix as i love this game but these kinds of things are extremely annoying as they actually prevent you from enjoying the came and can be fixed very easily.
  16. it went up 4 levels on paper but in reality only introduced 1 new level of abilities. You only get an extra tier of powers/ spells when you get 9th level stuff That is hardly "out of the box"
  17. The new mace from the Beast of winter that does frost damage does not get the extra +1 pen from the frost talent. Maybe missing keyword?
  18. I think all classes currently are quite balanced apart from: 1. Druids Because they are in direct competition with wizards in terms of allocating a party slot. It is very hard to justify placing a druid in your party when you can have a wizard instead. Even if you already have one wizard in your party and you want another caster you would be better off with two wizards. Druids need to be buffed to be more in line with wizards so that they can compete with them. 2. Priests The vast majority of there friendly buffs are very mediocre and dont do much at all. These buffs have long cast times aswell. There are stupid restrictions put on some of there spells for example cirlce of protection has a 10 sec duration. Alot of these early level buffs have very weak effects like giving +5 to a single stat and the higher level priest buffs may give bonuses to perhaps two stats. Healing spells require maxed might to be even noticable. Priests feel very restricted with the new per rest system changes made from the first game where they only get to cast 2 spells per level per encounter which was a stupid change because all priests do now is cast the exact same spells over and over every encounter. They have less variety. Priests arent able to swap griomores like wizards can and also currently dont have any way of being able to cast more spells per level like wizards can with the griomore of vaporous wizardry. 3. Ciphers Ciphers just arent quite there yet. IMO some of there powers need tweaking. Defensive Mindweb is currently the most stand out "stupid use" and " balancing gone wrong " power in the entire game. It use to be tied with sacred immolation but SI got buffed in the latest patch Fighters are a solid very powerful and fun to play class. I use to think Rangers where under powered but after playing one on my last play-through i have changed my mind. Concussive tranquilizer is arguably the most powerful active ability in the game and driving flight vastly increases ranged dps with high caliber ranged weapons like the red hand. When Obsidian nerfed figurines to have charges they also buffed the Ghost heart ranger sub class. Ghost heart ranger is probably a more powerful summoner then chanter now aswell if you spend points buffing the companion

Yes that would also be good if they are not planning to increase the level cap and introduce more abilities/ spells Staying on the same max level and not levelling up for a long period of time really makes the last part of the game quite boring The introduction of the expansions has made this problem even worse
