I've had quite a bit of fun with Evoker on potd. And I didn't go for nature godlike for max pl. The lack of good varied gear is annoying, but that's not relevant just for wizard/evoker so eh. I would like for the bonuses to be more, for example I think the Evoker should have a damage bonus instead of the 15% chance at double cast. The idea being it would differentiate the subclasses more, give them more personality. But eh, it is what it is I suppose. At later levels, with buffs, an evoker (probably the same can be said about a general wizard) can nuke pretty much everything. Took me a while to realise the "causes an interrupt" on vaporous grimoire refers to yourself lol, so that was annoying especially in silly situations where your party is scrambled outside of your control and your squishy wizard is suddenly the main agro of mobs Anyway for me spellcasting characters are the ones I'm having most fun with, and being able to nuke bosses with spells was awesome :D

As far as I can tell her own mission, which she does when she temporarily leaves, cannot be stopped and does not feature in any ending slide. She just smugly tells you about how pointless her mission was and I think we're supposed to bond with her and giggle over the murdered huana chief who was advocating for peace. A bit annoying but oh well. I'm quite a long way from end so I won't know too soon if the ending slides are bugged, since I decided to do the quest (and sabotage it as much as possible). Yeah. The ending slides are still bugged. I failed both missive deliveries and yet at end I get the "assassination succesful" slides. And that's just one of MANY MANY bugs, and this just concerning the ending and the slides. Meh. Whatever.

[1.2] Missing description in Xoti reputation with my Watcher
Kian replied to Visenya's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Ha! I have Missing String 79 (I'll recheck later for the number but that's what I remember) for Xoti I got it when desecrating the shrine on the island with Neketaka. I'll take a screenshot next time I log and update this post.- 2 replies

I keep choosing Berath's Wheel for the souls in the history creator, but when you get to that part where this is mentioned, it keeps telling me "are you the same Watcher who put the souls back in their rightful bodies?" (or something like that). The soul uniting dialogue is also bugged, and gets referenced in different ways. So yeah, I imagine other glitches too, so hopefully they fix these soon. And also, a guide for the history creator would be great. I've searched a LOT for something, and there is NOTHING lol... The only thing I was able to use was the endings for PoE 1 and generally just googling each name from the history creator and seeing who and what it was about. But that only helps with the rp part of things. What we need is a guide for things like "choose X with devil of caroc to get this armor". Because finding out near end of game that a certain armor is not available because I chose X is quite annoying

The Shadowed Vale
Kian replied to Ashen Rohk's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I found Caergr under the hood as well. My character is an Wood Elf too and I went with Berath's Wheel for the souls in PoE 1, if that matters. Also it told me Caergr died, and when looking at the ship, he was indeed gone. I had him in the resting spots on my ship. After that I went back to a save and killed the camp. -
No point in starting a topic for this, and this is ship related so I'm going to post here: The crew members really need more detailed info... I just realised that Big Mouth (same species as Spindle Man, can't think of the name atm) whom I was using as Surgeon, is MISSING stuff! Specifically he cannot interact with the Plague Ships on map. When you board those, you get the option to call the sickest member of their crew on your ship to heal them, but not with Big Mouth. This makes me wonder just how many other similar things I missed out on because there is no explanation or info on crew members... Also... we need at least 2 more Master Cannoneers and 1 Master Surgeon...

[1.2] Behavior Editor is Broken
Kian replied to Loub's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I think here is the appropriate place to post this, since I can't find anything related to this and I think it might be connected to the AI behaviour (though not the Custom AI per se). Since I can't figure out how to cast specific spells on specific characters using the custom AI thing (is that even possible? I would like if it was), I'm casting certain buffs every fight. I noticed a problem (not all the time but frequent enough that I'm now micromanaging that character with every cast of that buff to be sure it doesn't fail) with Xoti (probably Priest in general, I don't know, haven't tested) and the casting of Champion's Boon (I haven't noticed this problem with any other spell). Selecting Xoti and casting Champion's Boon on another character will very often fail, and she will end up casting on herself with no warning or indication as to why. She starts casting on someone else and when the spell is "launched" it "lands" on her instead of the target. I thought it might be an issue with the target moving out of the spell range, but it happened a few times when the target character was stationary and right next to her. Again, just this spell has this weird glitch. It seems to not happen if I stay on Xoti, with her selected, until the spell cast is finished. It seems weird and oddly specific, so apologies if this is not a bug and I'm missing something or if it doesn't qualify for reporting. Cheers!- 12 replies

If you don't complete the objective the assassinations don't happen. But then the quest isn't completed. I believe you need to pass a diplomacy skill check that persuades /goads her to take it by talking about her duty to the RDC. It *is * possible to make her just take it without handling the stalker. Thanks for the answer. I managed to convince her, it was the dialogue line about self sacrifice (diplomacy and something else I forget what). I was choosing the wrong options. The other guy was easy enough to deal with, and I got the dialogue from the guy at Brass Citadel about how Harama died and Tuaha had to leave sooner than expected. So it should be ok, as long as the ending slides aren't still bugged. Now I only have to decide if it's worth going through the rest of the game and be really frustrated at end if it turns out it's bugged, or just kill Maia and be done with it. Or not touch the quest. Yeah! You should be good. I don't think you can stop Maia from her objective. I don't know if it matters for the end slides though? As far as I can tell her own mission, which she does when she temporarily leaves, cannot be stopped and does not feature in any ending slide. She just smugly tells you about how pointless her mission was and I think we're supposed to bond with her and giggle over the murdered huana chief who was advocating for peace. I've gone through the thread, but couldn't find what I needed, or maybe I missed it. I want to stop the assassinations, but I'm having problems with the Port Maje one. Tuaha refuses to go with the missive until the stlaker is dealth with. Pushing the dialogue leads to something along the lines of "Maia I prefer to deal with you" and then Maia "yeah I'll deal with this", after which the quest progresses to the "deal with the stalker" phase and that can only be solved by scaring him away or killing him. After that the quest is successful. In order to stop this, I'm thinking of several posibilities: I'm missing enough diplomacy or whatever to force Tuaha to accept the "stalker is not real" story. What exactly do you need to convince her if that's possible? the quest is bugged and can only be succesfully completeled. Is that the case? if I progress the quest to "deal with the stalker" and then just leave it like that, will that cause a "success" end slide? (as in the assassination successful) simply not touching the quest at all. Will that prevent the assassination? I haven't even tried the other one, but I imagine it's easier, unless equally buggy. Lastly, killing Maia. Does this solve the issue? Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. I started playing from patch 1.1 and I have never seen a random encounter in my first full playthrough. Now on my second, and surprise, no encounters either. Has this progressed from pending investigation to fix incoming? It's very frustrating to have a chunk of the game randomly denied to you and no fix incoming or at least a word on the current status. I can provide the save as well if it will help. Thanks.

Random Encounters!
Kian replied to kcdrums79's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
In my second full pt and trying to get the Griffin sword, locked behind a random encounter. As far as I could find online it seems random encounters in Neketaka are bugged and don't trigger at all for some people. I've been traveling between Neketaka locations for about half an hour. Is there a point to keep trying or is this completely bugged? Is this adressed? As in is there a fix coming? Thanks. -
Does Alchemy still affect spells like "Insect Swarm" and "Plague of Insects"? I thought Alchemy affected spells that had "Poison" or "Antidote" key words, but I'm about to start a Druid pt and noticed the only keyword for these 2 spells is "Beasts". And speaking of Alchemy, is this effect on certain spells intended? Just finished a Wizard/Monk pt and with Alchemy 20 "Noxious Burst" and "Malignant Cloud" were basically one-shotting everything except stronger bosses.
