  1. Berserker is terrible. The Confusion is crippling and essentially removes carnage not because of the friendly fire, but the huge 50% aoe reduction that comes with -5 int. Carnage's AOE is already smaller than POE1 as well as the damage it does in that AOE so you're giving up a LOT to take Berserker over stsandard Barbarian or one of the other subclasses.
  2. Sometimes you're a rogue thinking this Kana guy got you spotted out and nearly killed one too many times because he felt that it would be a good idea to start singing to raise morale while trying to sneak past a Fampyr.
  3. Rogues have the same option from level 1. Their escape ability can be used out of combat.
  4. If you just want to see all the projectiles you could do worse than ranger/monk. Go for frostseeker bow, use dance of death to get wounds, use swift blows, max dex and perception, and go to town. Driving shot will eventually double your already ridiculous amount of chances to start the whole party all-over again with each crit.
  5. It is not 'lucky' to have the game lie to you in tooltips. It isn't 'lucky' that guns and only guns don't benefit from attack speed increases. And it certainly isn't a matter of 'realism' when you literally have people right beside the person loading a gun( Who is doing so with the same speed at dexterity 3 as 35) shooting off fireballs without even needing a spellbook.
  6. The Principi very much are a paramilitary group. They have a clear chain of command and hierarchical structure and most certainly are arrayed in opposition to the ruling powers of the day. But it seems your basic stance is if the people saying what you can and can't do have land to call their own which then lends legitimacy of their dictates of what is and isn't acceptable behavior; is that the main thrust of it?
  7. You're right. They're not a standing army nor a modern society, so it should come as absolutely no surprise and be completely understandable and justified that they hold a human right, life, to be more easily surrendered than modern first-world countries. But they don't. Desertion isn't acceptable, never has been, and likely never will be in any solvent group. At least not armed paramilitary groups where the deserters took a ship on top of deserting. Out of curiosity, what do you think any other faction would have done in that scenario?
  8. You do realize that desertion IS punishable by death in modern militaries, right (Article 85 UCMJ)? Hell, in the US at the current moment falling asleep on guard duty is punishable by death (Article 113). It is very important in armed conflicts that people are where they're supposed to be and doing what they're supposed to be doing. Similar rationale can be applied to pirates.
  9. Actually he did. He was put in such an out of the way, inconsequential post because he wasn't playing nice with people who ha no scruples with more underhanded means.
  10. Why go assassin if you aren't focusing on stealth or using backstab? I'd think you would get more out of default rogue at that point.
  11. Ship to ship combat has some.... interesting AI choices. Like a starboard turn followed by a port turn to just go back to facing your ship head-on then advancing for a turn then turning again, holding, then reassigning crew when all I've been doing is approaching at full speed. Also there's no reason ever to ram, you can pull up alongside just fine even at 1 meter short of your max move. I'm legitimately unsure of why ramming is a thing. It's never the right option that I've seen.
  12. One of these descriptions is wrong, and I'm fairly certain Death of 1000 Cuts isn't supposed to link to Death the state. Unless of course Death is timed and this somehow modifies that. I got Death of 1000 Cuts casts on my party member, Ydwin, via arcane reflection. That was when I was able to see the description of it when it's inflicted. Also, a UI issue is when there are enough buff/debuffs inflicted on a target it just runs off the bottom of the screen and you can't see what they have.
