It would be sweet if Beckham falls to 27 but I'm thinking he's off the board by 22 (Philadelphia). That still leaves Marquise Lee or better still Brandin Cooks at WR. Saints also announced that they will not pick up Mark Ingram's fifth year option so look for a RB starting round 2 maybe someone like Bishop Stankey from Washington.

Some of my favorite New Orleans restaurants: Commander's Palace - (Uptown - reservations required) Pascal Manale's (BBQ Shrimp - reservations required) Mr B's Bistro (French Quarter - also for the BBQ Shrimp) Central Grocery (Muffalatas at lunch - a whole muffalata is good for two people and then some ... lol) Mothers (Po-Boys - Roast Beef Debris is my favorite but the shrimp is awesome too - gets packed at lunch so get there early before the locals hit the place .... ) Camelia Grill Bon Ton Café Brennans (French Quarter - dinner) Dickie Brennans Steakhouse Original Pierre Maspero's - French Quarter It's actually difficult to limit the list - finding a good restaurant in New Orleans is easy. Edit: Trey Yuen's Chinese restaurant on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain does Chinese with a Cajun/Creole twist.

Good advice. If you do a side trip to Taos I recommend the Hotel La Fonda. (Iirc it's about an hour and 20 minutes one way unless you take the "low road")

What always confuses me about light speed is how the observable universe can be 46 billion light years across but only 14 billion light years old. Where does the extra 18 billion ly diameter of the universe come from if light speed cannot be passed? Have you never heard about cosmological expansion, Hyperinflation, commoving distances or the Planck Epoch? Try reading up on them sometime. You're confusing the sizes of the universe and the observable universe The size of the observable universe is measured from the earth (or any other point of reference you choose). The observable universe (to us) only has a radius of 13.7 billion light years because light that originated farther away than that is not viewable by us*. The total size of the universe CAN (and probably is) larger than that. *What complicates the mathematics is that universe is expanding and the rate of expansion isn't constant. So light emitted from a star that has moved beyond the 13.7 ly distance can be observable by us if the light was emitted before the star crossed that threshold. The following video which has a pretty good explanation (although his math is bit fuzzy, the basic concepts are pretty clear): http://www.khanacademy.org/science/cosmology-and-astronomy/universe-scale-topic/big-bang-expansion-topic/v/radius-of-observable-universe You also might try reading some of Alan Guth's work on the issue of the HyperInflation of the Universe (at greater than the speed of light) after the Big Bang. http://edge.org/conversation/the-inflationary-universe-alan-guth

All three tied at 44-30 - Memphis currently has the tiebreaker over Dallas and Dallas has it over Phoenix. Each team plays the other once more. It's a toss up

No problem with the Rangers bats in the opener as they pounded Cliff Lee for 8 ER in 5 innings. Unfortunately Texas' pitching totally sucked and they lose 14-10. -
There's always an upside ......

What was the rationale for the trade? Gentry's a good ball player but did the A's really need him? The belief was that Gentry could help right away whereas Choice is still developing. In addition, the A's have a lot of flyball pitchers and Gentry covers a lot of ground in the outfield. Essentially a calculated move for the short term to help win a tight AL West. (Intra-division trade notwithstanding...) Seems a pretty steep price for what amounted to a fourth outfielder. I'm not complaining - I think the Rangers are ecstatic to have Choice. -
I concur. I actually managed to get 3 out of the 4 final four teams right in my bracket: Florida, UCONN, and Wisconsin. I have Florida beating UCONN and Louisville Kentucky beating Wisconsin. I would love nothing more than to be wrong on both accounts. In NBA news: KD extended his 25+ scoring streak to a mind boggling 38 games (just 2 shy of His Airness!). More importantly for the Thunder, Russ looks no worse for the wear after his latest scare (though I'm still frightened that his knee will shatter into a billion pieces at any moment) and the they might get both Perkins and Sefolosha back by the end of this week. The top 2 spots look pretty much set in the West with the Spurs being on a winning streak that seems like it will never end and the Thunder with enough cushion to third place and likely more concerned with keeping KD rested and Russ healthy than trying to catch the Spurs. Over in the East, the Pacers look like they don't want that 1 seed after all. Outside of their win against the Heats, they've been self destructing, with an embarrassing blow out loss to the Cavs being their latest stumble. I'll be curious to see if the Heat will rest guys or try to get the 1 seed. If the Pacers keep playing this poorly, the Heat might be able to do both, get the 1 seed while resting their guys. UK, with their inside power (even without Cauley-Stein) is going to be a tough matchup for Wisconsin. UK absolutely destroyed UM on the offensive glass and if they keep shooting 3s like they have they are going to be really tough to beat. Yeah Pacers have lost their early season mojo it seems. The Pistons losing to the 76ers was the big laugher to me. Dumars is an absolute joke as a GM. Biggest question in the West is how Memphis, Phoenix and Dallas shake out in the race for the last two playoff spots. Dallas has no chance in the playoffs, and I would rather see them finish just out of the playoffs to keep their 1st round pick (which is top 20 protected). Finishing out of the playoffs lets that pick slide all the way up to #14 in a very loaded draft.

The final could end up being a fourth Florida-Kentucky matchup. Any other match-up would be a huge improvement.

This has been an abnormally long and cold winter. But things are looking up. Spring does appear to be right around the corner.

Pleasantly surprised? What horrible predisposition did you hold to be pleasantly surprised by this movie? I'm glad you got over it? Movies from that era in general tell stories much better than movies from today do, as they're more about the characters than what we commonly find today. You usually cannot go wrong with any movie Stewart was in. Aside from The Philadelphia Story (which is a great movie), here are some recommendations with Jimmy Stewart: Rear Window The Man Who Knew Too Much Vertigo Rope You Can't Take it With You And some with Cary Grant: North By Northwest To Catch a Thief An Affair to Remember Arsenic and Old Lace His Girl Friday Notorious Bringing Up Baby All of the above are good to great movies in my opinion, many of which are considered classics and highly regarded by many. At least a couple of the above would be in my all time top ten list. I'd throw CHARADE on Grant's list and ANATOMY OF A MURDER and THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE on Stewart's. I would add Mr Blandings Builds his Dream House to Cary Grant's list.

Michigan Kentucky tied at the half. What a great set of games! Kentucky getting much better offensive distribution. Michigan could be in trouble.

AL ROY: SS Xander Bogaerts, BOS I hate to admit it but I think the Rangers will finish third in the west. Their rotation looks beat up with Holland out for the year. Harrison and Darvish are suffering from nagging injuries. M Perez and Ogando had crap springs, and the Angels castoffs totally sucked. Soto and Profar are out for 2 1/2 months, Engel Beltre is likely out for the year. Feliz got sent done to AAA as his velocity is down. The lone bright spot out of spring training was Michael Choice. -
What spring? Picture from March 30. North Carolina

Michigan St up 25-21 at the half. Spartans need to cut down on the turnovers.

By comparison, the Angels got a huge bargain signing Trout to a 6 year extension for 144.5 million. The Miggy deal is going to end up bad as the A-Roid, Pujols and Hamilton deals. -

LOL Only in your dreams numbnuts. The UN General Assembly has approved a resolution describing the Moscow-backed referendum that led to Russia's annexation of Crimea as illegal. One hundred countries voted in favour of approving a UN General Assembly resolution declaring the Crimean referendum on 16 March illegal and affirming Ukraine's territorial integrity. Eleven nations voted against, with 58 abstentions. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26776416

Thanks for clarifying. Do you have any specifics on which types of equipment are currently not compatible? I'm curious as I did read something about the artillery being predominantly Russian and a preponderance of the Russian BUK-M1 air defense systems (which were being replaced by a Norwegian designed system iirc).

If Obama really wanted to close the prison in Guantanamo Bay, it would be closed. He promised during his campaign it would be, he lied. The view in the video is just utter nonsense. Val, I understand your pov but I think it (incorrectly) places the entirety of the blame on Obama. (I'm no fan of Obama and I think his promise to close Guantanamo was ill-considered in the first place; but I think this is one instance where he deserves a little slack. I can't hold him responsible for breaking a promise that was nearly impossible for him to keep.) http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2013/04/30/obama-just-gave-a-powerful-speech-about-the-need-to-close-gitmo-so-why-hasnt-he/ But that situation has changed. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/promise/177/close-the-guantanamo-bay-detention-center/ So to repeat: Yes, Obama broke his promise but I sincerely doubt it's because he doesn't want to close it. Some of the obstacles in his path were not of his own making.
