  1. Many different ways, of course...you could just check gamefaqs... But, try this way if you really are interested in getting out of there, and if you got a ton of credits. Head over to the Cantina. Right next to the door by which you enter, there is a small little furry dude, who just squeaks. Turns out, this person is a major mojo-domo who can manliputate popular opinon. (He also can keep track of how much the Exchange loves or hates you. He's a lovely little dude) Pay him 2,000 credits to either make the Exchange love you or hate you. It doesn't matter. Just walk around until you get the Red Ecisple to board your ship. After you defeat the Red Esciple, the comlink will come. If I ever get to playing DSF, and I want to get Mira, I'm going to just head over to the Furry Dude and bribe him to get a meeting with the Exchange, while remaining netrual. That way, I can get Mira. Then, I'll do the evil sidequests to get me DS, and then pull down Mira to the Dark Side while I'm at it. EDIT: The way to get the Comlink to occur is to either make the Exchange love you or hate you. Sometimes, you might have done a quest that made them love you and then done a quest that made you hate them, meaning you are netrual. Don't worry, if you got the creds, just head over to the Furry Dude and pay up. If you don't, fly to another planet, get some more credits, fly back and pay the Furry Dude. Or just sell off some of your useless junk to get some extra creds.
  2. Here's something from a LucasArts chat. From Aristotle, founder of LucasForums.
  3. The Dark Side is evil because...George Lucas says so. edit: Seriously, that's it. Even when you talk to the Sith tw'ilek appericnate in the Sith Academcy in K1, you learn that even some members of the Sith doesn't consider themselves as evil. "If you define evil as helping yourself, of getting what is rightfully yours, then yes, we are evil." This quote shows that she believes that the definition of evil is twisted by the Jedi, but the true definition of evil is what stops people from reaching their potential. Who truly cares? Before the Jedi and the Sith, nobody knew what was LS and what was DS (according to Kreia). Studying the life of the people BEFORE they were force-users...that may be interesting.
  4. RUMOR MILL: This is a very important thing! I have just got off the phone from a friend of a friend of a developer from [COMPANY DELTED FOR SECURITY REASONS], and he said they are going to make KOTOR3! Which is strange, while I know that [COMPANY DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS] is a good company, I also the dislike directions they took with their recent games, which include [GAME DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS]. I just think there should have been another company, but oh well. This person was not allowed to speak, so, I got some information from him before his CEO found out, fired him, and then sued the guy for one million dollars. My god, this guy paid a million dollars JUST to go and share this valuable information! Thank you hapless developer for giving up your whole career to please us fanboy! Okay, here's the information: -K3 is a game about a Knight in the Old Republic. -It will have something to do with an Old Republic. -You will become a "Knight", altough there is no specifity on what that means, meaning it is pretty broad what it means by "Knight". -There will be a compelling story that has something to do with your character as a "Knight". -It will be able to be played on a platform. The developer did not know what platforms would the game be hosted on, but they decided that it will be played on a platform! -They promise to increase the amount of bugs in the game by 100%, which is good for us bug-lovers. -Game may be released as soon as Janurary 1st, 3100. A small time to wait. So, there you go. Big rumor. Hope you enjoy. [/bigjoke] There was an article talking about speculators on websites that make a ton of cash. The sex.com domain, for example is worth either about $64,000 or about a million dollars. Sort of stupid though when they'll just use it as a subdomain...but well, it might be easier for LA to buy the domain and then have it redirect to its subpage.
  5. The Star Forge is nothing more than a big Death Star copy-cat. It's fun, but a bit annoying. Malachor V is the place of the last massacre in the Mandalorian Wars. It is a place that has tons of evil, and is where you lose your connection to the Force. It is the secret base of the Sith Order. It is...nightmarish. Otherwise, they are EXACTLY the same. You still have 100 Dark Jedi rushing towards you, and becoming an uber-Jedi/Sith, you smash them all. The difference is that in Malachor V, you are the only person in the party (theortically making difficulty harder...except you wasn't), and...there were more classes from which to kill. The civilian Sith Assisans make a nice touch, enhancing an already creepy setting. I also have to say that they did do a fine job with the Sion will-breaking minigame (altough more improvment may be necessary, the concept was innoviate), and there is always Kreia's revalations. The nihlistic ending to the game, where nothing you did really mattered, was really...fitting...given Kreia's hatred of the Will of the Force. The game ended as it begun, on a dead planet that is about to explode, with broken corpses scattered all over, and your future in doubt. and you're point is...? Point is, it got a better concept, just like the rest of TSL, and I felt it was actually done pretty effectivly. That's a plus in my book. The Star Forge is a great level, but Malachor V has the better story, and I like stories.

  7. I'd go out with a bang. I'll go back and try to murder Palpatine, even if it means I fall to the Dark Side in the process. If I get kicked again, I'll go back and fight until I die. The Jedi Order is being destroyed, you might as well die along with it.
  8. What I mean by Forced is that you have to, as a Player, do LS or DS acts to get total LS or DS mastery and to get the Prestige Class. I once got total DS mastery, but said to T3-M4 I'll help him in his quest to smash the Truth Sith, and hence lost it. I realize though that by always trying to get my Total DS Mastery, I was compelled, as a player, to do the most DS act possible, instead of choosing what I want my character to be. That is what I mean by Force. True Grey Jedi means you do what you want, wheter that leads you to the LS or the DS.
  9. Hm...wouldn't a Grey Jedi value the ability to choose? So, he really wouldn't care about having a Grey Alignment, per se, but he would want to have the right to choose what he wants to do. Doesn't matter if his choices lead him to go to the Dark, or lead him to go to the Light...as long as he has the ability to choose, and not be FORCED to do good/evil deeds, then he would be a Grey Jedi, regardless of alignment.
  10. I see it as being inspired by the Sith. The developers were bored, and thought: "Hey, let use parts of the Sith ideology to help buff the Mandos". And hence, "honor" comes in. Thinking of the OOC reasons for their existence. It could easily be compared to the United Nations and the European Union, both organizations wanting as many nations/planets as possible to join it, but otherwise...the UN and the EU are quite weak. Ah, another possiblity...prehaps it was an idea that is tied directly to the Mandlorian's war-like efforts. This is pretty good.
  11. Would you end the Star Wars series at ROTJ, or allow for the creation of the EU? Will you start up the prequel...or will you retire and live a life of luxury? ...What? I'm curious.
  12. How about TWO different beginings? Revan and Carth's son/daugther...or Revan and Bastila's son/daughter. Nope, still bad idea.
  13. Actually K2 would be more interesting because it casts a negative view on society, and upsets Star Wars. Nar Shadda is a cesspit run by the Hutts. The Jedi are cursed everywhere on Dantooine. An unpopular Queen who supports the Republic has to face off a popular rival. The Jedi turn out to be evil and uncaring. The Sith (in the guise of Kreia) turn out to be Good and empathic. And there is the motif: Desturction fo the Force. It would be great for philopshy. K1 is too simplistic and does not explore themes as much. I think you can just use the term "echoes". Define it as "the infulence actions has on people". Echoes play a huge role, as it was the echoes of Malachor V that caused Kreia, Atris, Sion, Nihilus, and the Exile to be who they are today. Echoes, by themselves, could be used in sociology.
  14. I saw the Mandalorians more as...barbarians, as seen through the eyes of civilization. Spartans are not barbarians, they are a civilized city-state, a militriastic empire. The Spartans had diplomats, they made alliances with Persia, and they formed puppet governments. The Mandalorians are basically people who fight for "honor". If anything, they are based off all the barbaric tribes (Huns, Goths, etc.), with an added layer of the the Sith's idea of competition to justify their fighting. The "honor" thing is just as an after-thought, added by the developers to make you HATE them. After all, the Mandalorians did not invade the Republic to protect themselves. If they did, then Players might sympathize with the warriors, and that should not be allowed at all. No, they invaded because they waned some fun and "honor". This is similar to civilization's view that barbarians attack them only because they want to, and that they are monsters. Never mind that, prehaps in real life, the barbairans are likely fighting not for honor...but the right to live. Since this is a game, they can get rid of this "right to live" struggle, and they have to...otherwise we would think the Mando's as good guys, and we must remember that they AREN'T.
  15. There is also a mod that ADDS Corsaunt (the Jedi Temple) as a planet, so if you have a PC, just download it and get some content in the small planet. http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=176163
  16. MaskofRevan, here is a list of beniefts and downsides for being a Grey Jedi. Most important is not just using Force Powers for the other side...but also because of making lots of Credits via the process. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/s/starwars...0215-kotor2.htm You also forget that the Grey Jedi also have, argubly, the most powerful Player Crytsal in the game (you have to upgrade it at level 28 to get the fullest upgade).
  17. I already found it out already. To find out WHY this happens, check this link: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=175464
  18. Why Malak did not attack Dantoonie until He Captured Bastila and Revan: Because he can. Malak has been consumed utterly by power, by lust, by a sort of craziness that drives all Sith. He has gone mad, killing off a whole planet just for a search of one tiny, insiginficant Jedi Princess. He constantly underestimate Revan's skills, and always believe that he got the advantage when he does not. The Star Forge fuels his insanity, driving him to do these things, to act dumb. Here, I'll make the comparison to Darth Nihilus. Like Darth Malak, he too is all-mighty. Darth Nihilus has a Force Drain, Darth Malak has a infinite armada. Darth Nihilus does not see insiginficant people, just planets, just food, just the Force. I suspect that is how Darth Malak saw everything. He believed he WILL win. After all, didn't he heroically destroy Darth Revan by blowing his ship up? Didn't he find the Star Forge? Didn't he "crack the secrets", so to say? Darth Malak is indeed so powerful that he can do WHATEVER he wants. Revan focused all efforts on winning the war, but Malak saw the whole galaxy as his sandbox, to play around. He suffers from delusions of graunder, and he finally gets cured later on when Malak realizes that he always was "nothing". By then, it was too late, as he destroyed everything like a baby with a tantrum. Malak was the best weapon the True Sith would ever hoped for. === Why did the Jedi Masters Did Not Realize Dantoonie Would Be Attacked: Let's use Occam's Razor...Bioware made a plot hole. EDIT: A note...not ALL people know that Dantoonie was a secret Jedi Academcy. If you ask Canderous, he'll say he thought of it as a simple farming world, so boring that not even HE would lead his troops to attack it during the Mandalorian Wars.
  19. Basically, you go and you save/kill the Jedi Masters, and they of course, know nothing about Atris even living. That's understandable, as it was Atris who (according to the Chrolines) lured Darth Nihlius to Kataar, and wouldn't be over there anyway, self-peserving bastard she is. You also learn that the Jedi Masters basically went to other planets to hide from the Sith menance, but I don't think they told each other where they have gone...because they didn't want to get caught. What I was wondering is that T3-M4 was able to find a list of where all the Jedi Masters are located from Atris. A couple of questions. 1) How did Atris know where all the Jedi Masters are? 2) Why did she keep such information? Not even KREIA knew that the Jedi Masters were alive. She admits this as such after you killed off all the Jedi Masters (I did not expect them to still live, their existence was knowledge I did not posses.) Obivously, Atris wasn't with the remaining Jedi Masters on the Council, since none of them knew Atris was living...So how did Atris finds out? And why did she want to know this?
  20. You "accidently" destroy the holocron IF Revan is set to LS. You find out what happens to Revan, or at least get a clue on what will happen, when Carth (and Bastila if you set Revan to Male) talks to you after you defeat Darth Nihlius. If you set Revan to DS, the Holcoron will remain intact, and you get to access it. It is Bastila's holocron, where she discusses Revan leaving the Sith Empire to fight the True Sith, leaving Bastila behind to run the empire, and allowing for Sith to fight in a civil war. Bastila, afraid for her life, and afraid for Revan, vows to leave Korriban to find Revan and help him. Regardless of Alignment or Gender, you can also find out what happens if you gain INF with T3-M4 and access the hologram that he has.
  21. As I posted before in the Is Nihilus a Sith topic...Nihlius considers himself a Sith. Therefore, he is a Sith. But I do see it being off-topic here, not having much purpose in this discussion.
  22. Let me quote from YOU: So, wheter you murder an innocent person or not does not matter, it's wrong either way, because the act alone says something about who you are, and the lengths you are willing to go...to "defend yourself". Let me also quote from you: So, let us assume that if the moral defense is that it is necessary under the cirmustances, then it really shouldn't matter who is the target, no? It does not matter if it is Sith, or if it is civilian, if you are doing it in the act of "self-defense", it MUST be good, right? Ah, an example of "Self-Defense" right here? Surely, you should defend yourself, and it does not matter from whom you defend yourself, no? If you can defend yourself against an evil person...then surely you can defend yourself from anyone, even innocent people who hate you. They wave protest signs, and protest higher taxes, and they "threaten" the Republic. After all, they are calling for lower taxes, and taxes is what help the Republic, and if they get what they want, they undermine the Republic's rule so surely, in order to do "self-defense" for the Republic, one must kill off these people right? This was the exact same justification Takrin did when killed off a bunch of tax protesters. Not only that, but what if the Jedi Council claim they were doing it for "self-defense"? I mean, Revan is weak, but Revan is a leader of an Empire, and he has data on where the Star Forge is loctaed. Therefore, Revan had to be brainwashed, for "Self-Defense". Exactly. So, self-defense is immoral. By your own words. We cannot do it to a civilian, so we must not do it to an evil person, or an evil person that is attacking you. Surely, you have to use violence to PROTECT yourself, but as you say before, you beg the question of "Why must you be protected in the first place?" --- And here lies the thing with moral abosultes. They constrain you. They prevent you from doing what is necessary. Being shackled with lots and lots of abritary nonsense is silly, which is why I hate Kant, especially when one can TWIST said abritrariness to mean what you don't want it to mean. I agree with you that what the Council did was "Wrong", in an certain sense of the word. But it still seems absurd to basically claim that they are evil, when you can make ANYTHING appear to be evil.
