  1. Just to repeat myself...again... Some of you don't seem to understand. The game is complete if the devs say it is. The game will be released without a DM client. A DM client will come, for free (Mark my god damn words), and all will be well. This is needless complaining for the sake of complaining. Furthermore, it's an insult to the basic principles of logic and not-so-common sense. I'm aware that this is an internet forum, but please, try to wrap your minds around the concept. It's for your own good. Edit: I just realized I'm a jerk.
  2. Judging a game just by its predecessor isn't nice...
  3. Theory of a Deadman - Santa Monica
  4. This line is a little scary...taken out of context, but still.
  5. No we won't. I'm passed the point of want for this game...more of a deep, instinctive need. I have to see how this story arch ends and if another is possible. I have to know if Fred, Linda, and Kelly are gonna arrive to help Chief kick some Covie ass. I have to know what happens to the Arbiter and the Elites. I have to know what the hell the Arc is. I have to know what happens to Miranda and Sgt. Johnson. I have to know what the hell Gravemind is. I have to know how the Flood can be stopped. I have to know, dude. I'd actually lay down the cash for a 360 when it comes out, and a full subscription to Live. Then, I'll wind up failing a semester or two of college. )
  6. Shaved? Nay, plucked!
  7. Who could?
  8. A Super Star Destroyer! I want one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pfft. One lucky A-Wing can take that thing down. "
  9. Note the "etc". Those are just scenarios that have been presented so far. Feel free to come up with more of your own. On that note...off to bed. About 3 and a half hours until I need to wake up for 2 hours of detention and a full school day. Oh, and re-taking a test, taking an Algebra test, and writing a 2 page research paper. I'm not exactly looking forward to waking up.
  10. That could mean several things...the modsquad decided against it, Feargus figures it's already been taken care of by Mr. Sawyer, Feargus is, rightfully, scared to unnecessarily fan the flames, it doesn't fit well with PR, or it's so completely wrong that he thinks it's not worth even addressing...etc...etc... Usually, people in higher positions GET creampuff questions...even seen a presidential press conference? ...I'd also argue that being too kind to some folks who consider their opinion to be the be all and end all of rightness is a bit naive in and of itself...but I'm still doing it. Simple fact is that you don't know, and I don't know. Not good to go about making accusations, but I do applaud that you're pushing for the answers...
  11. Nope. That's curiousity. Automatically attributing the lack of an answer to something insidious on the part of Feargus is paranoia. " And a I hate to pull a Volo, but since when are they obligated to tell us anything? Just because we demand answers doesn't mean we will, or should get them. Don't get me wrong, I'd like some too along this line, but I recognize that any information at all is something to be thankful for. Of course he pounced on the DM issue. It was apparently more widely spread than the german article and, let's face it, viewed a lot more harshly by the public, demanded an explanation as quickly as possible to soothe the consumers.
  12. So, I'm not paranoid and haven't come around to your way of blatantly negative thinking? Of course, I must be a fool. It's all so clear to me now...and this "reality" you speak of...it's news to me.
  13. I've made one too many assumptions over recent years, most of them negative, that have snowballed into some pretty lousy situations. I'm a bit naive, admittedly, but I find it much safer, and not to mention more curteous, to wait for answers to come, rather than believing I already know them. Basically, I give the benefit of the doubt. It doesn't make me a fool.
  14. do you know that he wasn't asked? just 'cause the question not show up on the list not mean that it weren't a mod team choice. HA! Good Fun! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. I don't know. And my point is that neither do you.
  15. Do you really know if he wouldn't have?
  16. "of games that will be available for Microsoft's new operating system Vista in January of 2007" seems to indicate that those games will be able to run on Vista, not exclusively. I'm hoping for the best.
  17. There were corners left to cut?
  18. Yes, and it would have been neat, come to think of it.
  19. Beat me to it, Lyr. Nope. The car was a car. It may have been intended as a metaphor, but it was a poor one for the situation. A better one would be a car missing its DVD player...a pleasing future not necessary for the use of the car which most people wont use since they'll be driving the car. No, that's not the message we're sending either. I'm just stating facts. It's how it is, and no amount of complaining will change the logical nature of it, or that it's going to happen, regardless of what you want.
  20. I called the car broken. NWN 2 is fine, but missing a feature. And in order to rest one's case, one must first have a case.
  21. Then buy the car once those features have been put in, rather than purchasing a broken product.
  22. One last time. The current release plan does not make those who want the DM client wait any longer than they would if they game were released with it. How is there any way to argue against that? It's just...fact. Why should that 70% wait additional time for content they're actually interested in, when the 30% doesn't?
  23. Shades of grey are overrated.
