Underestimating a Sith
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I still play Kotor to this day and I don't really mind the Sith being so stupidly arrogant. But I would like a devious master mind this time around, someone like Palpatine. Hopefully the Masked Sith will be this person. -
I have heard of some of the new force powers, who hasn't, but can you tell us some of the new combat feats if at all possible?

The theories in this thread are amazing. Better than some in the past weeks. Sabahattin Dere... wow! Everyone says in KOTOR that when Revan and Malak left they came back changed. Not just turning to the darkside but something else. While studying the magics, or whatever Revan learned, he must have learned that there were other Sith Lords or just a Sith Lord alive out there somewhere. This Sith Lord could probably have complete Revan's training and Revan took on Malak as his apprentice. But I do believe the picture is way larger than just Revan and Malak versus the Republic and Revan being redeemed or regaining his mantle as Dark Lord. In Ep. I, II and possibly III the picture is larger then Anakin and Padme falling in love or Anakin turning but it's about Palpatine's master plan. But if I remember, Canderous said that the Sith retreated back to their empire. Perhaps they were not hiding but planning something big which would occur whether or not Revan was redeemed. Indeed Revan is powerful, but their are bigger things happening than even he can handle. I wouldn't be surprised if Revan disappeared because he knew what was coming and had to regroup whether he was good or bad.

Underestimating a Sith
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's the lure of the dark side. The sith, no matter how strong or weak they are, feel that the darkside makes them stronger. Bastila learned that it's not true when you beat her on the Star Forge. That's the weakness of the sith, their overconfidence. Palpatine was overconfident and Luke told him but ofcourse he didn't listen. I like when they are overconfident and then you wipe the floor with them. I guess their confidence doesn't have to be written all over their face like in KOTOR but it has to be their in one form or another. -
I agree. They should give at least a little info on him, like his name. But they should keep him a secret until after release.

The Light, The Dark and the Grey?
Jedi Master D Murda replied to El Diablo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There really is no grey. When I was at about the same point as Jolee Bastila told me how I gave into my baser instincts, or some crap like that and Carth told me that he has seen my cruelty. Even though I was grey they saw something else. But like Nartwak said, there are sides in the SW universe. Even if you are not Imperial bad or Rebellion good you are lackey for Jabba. -
As long as it has lightsabers and the on going chant that the Darkside is bad, it's Star Wars to me.

Darth Sion with the mask?
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Deathshot's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I always thought they were the same person. Still do even if it was "indirectly confirmed" that they are not the same person. -
Lightsabre colours
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Darth Sun_Tzu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The more colors the better. I would love to see pink. I love that color. But I would like to see the colors that they will include in this game. When you have dual lightsabers it will be cool to have two different kinds of blue or green. I look forward to the new colors. -
Because there's Star Wars Galaxies if you want to play as a different race? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Even better than Galaxies is Academy. You are guaranteed to be a Jedi and you can be multiple races like Rodian, Twilek, Zabrak, and a Kel Dor.

Hype factor...
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Jedi Master D Murda's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not only being powerful, but being known for being smart. Revan did kill Mandalore himself but was a genius on the field. I would like to be known as smart as well. -
I'm not sure but I think they did this because it is easier to tell their story if you were human... I think.

Hype factor...
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Jedi Master D Murda's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I understand that building a powerful character is very important. I agree. But to build a powerful character and not be recognized for it is not good. If we fought and destroyed every powerful character in KOTOR II and not be told how powerful we were after each battle would be terrible in my opinion. We should be recognized as inferior early on then, hopefully, powerful later on. -
In KOTOR we are told how powerful Revan was and then we learn that we were Revan and that hyped us up even more. I would like to know how hyped up would you like this game to make you? I hope we here lines like "Indeed you are powerful as our master thought!" or lines that Darth Vader or The Emperor used describing Luke in Episodes V and VI. Hope this is a good topic. What do you guys think?

Most of those useless feats were for guns, something I never used. And some were to add points to your skills.
-
LOL!! Sissy?!?!
-
I doubt I will be using guns in KOTOR II. Even if you don't start a new topic and revive an old topic that is about your subject... you still get flamed. Darned if you do and darned if you don't.
-
I wanted to start a topic like this since I first came to these boards but some people seem prone (sp?) to flaming like it's second nature to them. But I would like to know what new feats are in this game. I heard that their are over 30 new ones I hope they add to lightsaber battles instead of guns. I never used guns in the first one so I found the feats for guns useless.

I remember someone saying that hoods up and down will be in just not they way we would want. There would be an outfit with a hood up and a different one with the hood down... at least I think that's what the poster was implying. Look at it this way, if we took Kreia's outfit and put it on yourself the hood would be up and if you gave her your outfit the hood would be down. Get it? I do, and it sounds great.

The Turret game!
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Darth Sun_Tzu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That's true but they were setup the same exact way you would run into a squadron at any point in the game. Always the shot to the right of the ship, and then the six following you. BORING!!! They didn't make either of those times unique from any other time. -
The Turret game!
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Darth Sun_Tzu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
They did in the first game! They did what? -
Well in that case, I would like some cooler battle scenes. In Kotor people would basically stand in one spot while fighting. I didn't hate it and I wouldn't care if it was the same in Kotor 2 but if there were some kinda feat where you could attack in a rapid sequence where as the attacker would and the person being attacked would walk backwards(person being attacked) and forward(person attacking). That would add to the loveliness of a lightsaber battle. Also what about flipping? not the kind that the guardian did when he jumped or the one used by power attack, I am talking about the kind that Obi-Wan did several times against Darth Maul where he would attack while flipping over him. I was hoping for holsters but I heard that was scrapped. I heard hoods, up and down , are in. Different colors for lightsabers are in, good. I'll have more to add when I play Kotor some more.

The Turret game!
Jedi Master D Murda replied to Darth Sun_Tzu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I voted to take them out. I never hated something so much. If there was anything wrong with KOTOR it was that friggin' turret game. I couldn't take that crap. I don't really know how they would incorporate the turret game in the plot but if they pull it off it would be amazing I would guess. -
No the PC is would not be non-existant to the Sith. They know of the PC, but why is part of the secrets of the game.
