  1. and anyway there isnt a poll bit to choose both, i got it on x-box first but i aint got x-box live and ive been considering getting the pc version just for the patches and stuff, would certainly be cheaper than live, is it worth it?
  2. The notion of everyone's pc must be on some sort of big, uncomfortable desk is almost as wrong as the assumption that everyone with an Xbox has it hooked up to a 42" plasma or HDTV with full THX theater sound. I've got a nice comfotable chair and a quite easy to move 19" crt that fits nicely on a small, tall table. I use a trckball, so I don't need a mouse pad or solid surface, and the keyboard lays naturally on my lap. (I still have a desk, but when I'm playing for a while, I like to get comfortable) Plus, I think a keyboard and mouse gives you better control and more control options than a game pad. I've played many of the consoles, starting with Pong in 1974-ish and I can say from my own experience that the keyboard and mouse (trackball in my case) are better for gaming. But, that is IMO, and your mileage may differ... And as a side note, did you hear about the kid who sat cross-legged on the floor playing his console (I don't remember which one the article mentioned) who had to have reconstructive surgery on the major nerves in his legs? He sat there for like 13 hours and didn't realize that he had cut off circulation and essentially killed his legs. See...so desks can be a goooood thing.... wasnt that the kid that got deep vein thrombosis? if it is any type of sitting for that long could result in it, console or pc, then theres repetitive strain injury, epileptic fits, str..... wow lmao and here's me thinking im safe playing games :D
  3. On the E3 movie it shows you as a DS character talking to a few dark jedi and a master, and with you talking to them and not putting foot to ass i assumed you were getting recruited but if this was what was happening i do not know. I hope there is a mission also
  4. And in my opinion Revan is defininitly the most **** hot name out of all the Darths I know of B)
  5. you and me both the DS is definitly the cooler option, even when i try to play the game LS i always find myself straying to the DS, like when the sith wannabes on korriban insulted me, do i: A) tell them i want no trouble? B) use my lightsabre to give them a couple more arseholes? for me there is no contest, but thats just me :D
  6. Is it not just the two extremes of atrius' character? one totally light and the other what she can become, i mean it has already been said that you will be able to influence others to the ds, but then again if the mysterious masked one has mans hands (i aint seen the pic yet) who knows
  7. I never got killed using any of the ones i used: cat woman, canderous, hk, jolee. So unless i was lucky it dont really matter anyway, i found it easiest using juhani though (no looking about for equipment and stuff) anyone agree?
  8. and even though if we found out it would spoil it, i still love trying to guess :D
  9. very good point, they could be telling us anything, just to keep us off the right track!
  10. I remember reading somewhere that the character you play in kotor 2 once followed revan, whether you followed him/her in revans days as the dark lord or the mandalorian wars, or both remains to be seen.......... or then again i could be completely wrong, im just speculating
  11. From what i have read about it i think obsidian have realized the depth it gives to the gameplay to be able to choose your own destiny and agenda in the game, and i think (well hope) that they build upon this heavily. I also thought a really cool part was when your appearance changed to match your allignment, i didnt expect that in the first game and i was really pleased when i noticed
  12. Er? I don't sell mine to Yuttal... But I routinely sell enhancement crystals out at Yavin IV. It's never given me a DS point yet for doing it... Or is that specific to the X box version? I know that the Prima guide for KotOR says you'll get a DS point on Korriban for memorizing and reciting the Sith code properly, it hasn't given me one for that either. Sorry i meant if you sell them to yurtal on dantooine. When you are told about them being on dantooine by Zhar, if you go to the traders he buys them but you get a ds point
  13. I thought the selkath sounded pretty cool And because I havnt seen any planets except from kotor and the films i wouldnt know, but i really dont care because I know they are going to be cool B) and i also hope you have a few more hair styles because in the screenshots ive seen the pc looks like a beatles reject!
  14. I think to much info may sometimes ruin the whole mystique (Highlander 2 for example) and i feel the whole medichlorians thing in sw did that, anybody else feel the same?
  15. You can become a sith lord as far as i know, but dont mark my words on that
  16. And like on dantooine you got a ds point for selling them to crattis yuttal so there must be some ancient jedi law againt it, but then again in kotor 2 YOU are supposedly the last jedi so whats to stop the thugs selling the crystals they found on dead jedi and the like? Just a thought
  17. All i can say is WOW!! You really dont realize how much there is to things until you dig do you, i mean I always thought sw was for geeks but damn this stuff is deep, i have definitly seen the light and its all thanks to kotor
  18. I don't think it's a big deal to have few consequences in such 'local' cases as the woman with the wraid plate; on a larger scale -that which concerns how you actually undertake the main quest- 'shallow consequences' go hand in hand with a greatly restricted number of possible actions that one can take. It's a great limitation imposed by the fact that Kotor is a computer game, and implies basically that there is one rigid way to be good and one rigid way to be bad, and one way to get to the star forge, and one way to beat malak: I'm not saying this is a shortcoming of the game; it's just that this is the extent Kotor allows a real role-playing experience. In the above post I didn't really mean that what 'lacked' in Kotor was that we weren't allowed to not only take the wraid plate from the woman, but also sell her into slavery. That is not the 'problem'; I wasn't even bringing up a problem. back on topic, if there was ever a 'problem' with the DS in KOtor, it was that the 'give me money' school of evil overshadowed the really evil deeds -that's it. Good point
  19. Now i am speaking out of ignorance here because i wasnt a fan until kotor but even if you played revan as a light side character and some how in the next five years he/she fell back to the dark side, without the star forge how could revan establish a great enough force to almost totally decimate the jedi order AND have the republic on the brink of collapse, i have a feeling there is more to this than we have guessed so far! p.s correct me if im wrong with any of the above <---sw newb
  20. Because lets get this straight the ds isnt just being nasty to people/threatening people/killing people, its a whole lot more. Its cunning and sinister, such as darth sidious in episode 2, people didnt suspect him yet he was without doubt evil, just not a thug
  21. I believe there should be more consequences to your ds actions, for example the chick with the wraid plate in kotor, when you take it from her she says a few words and disappears into thin air, why not see the consequences of what you have done to her and her entire family, i think that would separate the ds men from the ds boys
