Best way to start an "Adventure"
I hate Pre-Gens. I just can't get into a game's story with using a pre-gen. That was PS:T's biggest flaw and I think its rather stupid for developers to coninutally use the same flaw. I like making MY characters for they are mine and I am going through the game through MY character's experiences and through that I get a connection to MY character. Without that connection there is no immersion and ultimately I feel like I am just playing an action game with added numbers and not a CRPG.

I know I hated Gothic.

Best way to start an "Adventure"
The best way I start a campaign is the PCs are doing something ordinary, like going to the bank to arfue about an overdraft notice or something, then get in a middle of a bank robbery or the PCs are all friends and on a road trip during Spring Break and while driving through a forested area at night their tire blows. While changing the tire someone runs through the road screaming covered in blood and missing a limb then disappears in the forest. Take the ordinsary everyday and give them a nipple twist.

KotOR2 confirmed at 1Up.com
If Obsidian can make the sequel closer to the PnP version I would be happy. Same story quality and better rules implementation could carry the game quite well.

I just don't like playing a Jedi. I like to play a pure scoundrel or scout. Jedis are simply too boring. I wouldn't mind seeing additional classes in the game such as the Noble and Fore Adept. Also I hope they get the Wound/Vitality system done right this time and the Force system is closer to the PnP version.

Well, as long as the player isn't forced to be a Force user like in the original I won't complain... too much. REALLY!

Arcanum was a good game. Judas, if Obsidian wants a reputation of making hand-me-down games that is their business. Frankly I was hoping for something original first, then KotOR 2. KotOR 2 was inevitable, it just shouldn't be Obsidian's first game.

Leave BG out of this, dammit.

No, it is not the best CRPG. That honor goes to Fallout. KotOR is a good game but hardly the best. If Obsidian does something orignal on the par of Fallout, then I would be interested.

Well, my respect for Troika has gone up a notch. At least they went for broke and made an original game for their first run.

I am so disappointed with Obsidian. I thought they were do something that would be worthwhile and not a Bioware-hand-me-down. Oh well. I guess they aren't up to the task of making something original.

Cutesy is Good
Hate to break it to you but RE 4 has nothing to do with the T virus, G virus, or even Umbrella. I saw some of the pics inthe game and it looks downright awesome. That chain saw wielding guy can really take a bite out of Leon. Another thing that there are no area transition screens like the doors. Hell there won't be any cut scenes either. Its going to be straight on dialog and action. The action being of course running the hell away from the chain saw wielding fruit cake who is wearing a burlap sack.

What if Delaware project isn't Kotor2?
As long as Fallout 3 stayed true to its roots of Fallout 1 and 2 I wouldn't mind them making a console version.

Cutesy is Good
Its on the PS2. I own a Game Cube and can't wait for Resident Evil 4. The Return of Leon!

How did KotOR fail?
I have to agree with SP on the cheese. If Bioware or Obsidian can make a game like KotOR without the cheese it would be rather nice.

What time is it?
Well, if you are in Central Time Zone here in the North Americas it is currently 10:53 PM.

How did KotOR fail?
If you can put the story of KotOR in the openness of Morrowind, make it hard core Sci fi, and you would have finally made a game that would knock Fallout off its perch as number one game of all time.

If it isn't I'll be happy.

children in fallout
There are children and the closest in Fallout 1 would be in Shady Sands and the Den in Fallout 2.

How did KotOR fail?
The question here is does it really freaking matter? So what Bioware put things in the game that was fan first. Not everyone uses hakpaks and other crap like that. They added material to the game so that it wouldn't require the use of hakpaks and thats the best reason to get them. WHo cares if the fans demanded them, made them first, or if they like pink flamengoes. They put it in the main game and players of the game can use them without hakpaks. Besides Karzak, why do you even give a rat's ass about Bioware games? Last I checked you don't even like the games they have made.

How did KotOR fail?
I have to agree with Drakron. Those were many of the same problems I had as well as Bastilla stealing the show. I mean, it seem that the PC was really not needed at certain points of the game.
