  1. As for movies I am the type that can watch all three extended versions of LotR movies in one sitting. I can watch Star Trek 1 through 10 in one sitting. I plan on doing a Star Wars marathon of Ep 1 to Ep 6 with my friend and MST3k them all visciously.
  2. Yep, I am going to get that X Box 360 and Oblvion will be my first game with it. I am also plan on getting a HDTV and 5.1 speaker system. :D
  3. If I ruled a kingdom my first act would be asking the population "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!" I mean, if they are following something is completely Fubared. I would flee from the kingdom and find a nice cave to live in.
  4. Not that such conjecture isn't completely worthless, but I think that CRPGs nowadays focus more on fluff and candy than actual substance of what makes a CRPG a CRPG. NWN, Morrowind, Fable, Jade Empire, KotORs, and the such have weaker overall stories compared to the IE games, even IWD 2. Sad, but true. Its just to bad.
  5. It sounds like a good mod. If I was still playing KotOR 2 I would use it.
  6. I wonder if it can be cured by having a paladin with a holy flaming sword shoving the sword up the victims' arse?

    X3

We just have to wait and see. 22 seems to be a bit much for a barely 2 hour movie. A properly written 2 hour script should focus on 4 to 6 primary characters with at most a dozen secondary characters. A television series would be different, but a movie X3 looks ridiculous.
  8. I am looking forward to Oblivion. I am curious if Bethesda will learn from their mistakes.
  9. Can do that at EB, have so several times. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> EB doesn't exist where I live.
  10. Hey, I liked Baldur's Gate and Jade Empire. I think that if they remade Baldur's Gate 1 or 2 using higher end graphics represented in Jade Empire with solid DnD rules set then I think it would indeed rock, but graphics are secondary for me when it comes to CRPGs. In a CRPG story is what matters first and foremost, but if it has kickarse graphics I won't complain... much.
  11. I guess it depends on the single player campaign in how well they are used.
  12. I am not getting another computer. Just not cost effective. If you get a bad game on the computer you are stuck with it. If you get a bad game on a console you can trade it in for some cash and get a different game. If they are implementing familiars as the PnP game then more power to them. Also I found the familiars quite useful in BG 2.
  13. And how will I play it? I don't own a computer any more and i doubt my roommate would want me to clutter his computer with my games. Only if it is on a platform I own and so far I don't see a decent DnD title coming for the X Box or the X Box 360. Haven't heard much about NWN 2 and what they are planning since the boards got moved to Bioware. Pocket Familiars?
  14. It all depends on what you are using it for. If you are using the Internet for lots of high memeory downloads then your current line is fine. If you are going into the realm of competitive online gaming then faster option should be taken. Simply address your online activities and see where your needs are.
  15. So they say, but I have yet seen any proof of that so I will remain skeptical. Also I doubt we will get a long campaign. BG 2 is what I consider long. BG 1 and PS:T is what I consider average. Jade Empire and KotOR 1-2 is what I consider short. I am expecting a short game. Is it worth it putting down another $50 for a another mediocre DnD game? I think not. Dungeons and Dragons has lost its flavor, its fun factor since BG 2-ToB. Maybe it is because we have already seen the height of DnD gaming with PS:T and the BG series or maybe it is because those who are doing the current DnD games just can't cut it to make a DnD game of that caliber any more either due to lack of creative talent or market pressures. There are some I have enjoyed but keep in mind they are still third party mods and no way can they be on par of professionally backed games. The best so far is Tortured Hearts, but then Volourn's mod has yet been officially released.
  16. Well, that was a better response than thought I would get. (w00t)
  17. ~Di, I you.
  18. Ames, Iowa isn't so bad but I am wondering if drunken students on a rampage would be considered a natural disaster. At least they didn't throw the goal posts from the football stadium into the on campus lake.
  19. And I thought I was cynical.
  20. Oh, okay.
  21. Well, I never played Bloodlines. I learned my mistakes in buying a Troika game after ToEE. I still would like to see games be 50 to 60 hours long but those days are long gone, just like the traditional CRPG. 10 to 20 hour games are now the norm, unfortunately.
  22. NWN focus was never the single player campaign. The focus has always been the MP content.
  23. They bug test SW games?
  24. As for DnD I think it has become overrated. I think there are way too many DnD games out, and none of them are of the quality of Baldur's Gate 1 or 2. I am still questioning the worth of NWN 2. NWN graphics are good enough, has a huge following, strong technical support, and new material is still being made. Why do we need a sequel?
  25. Yet it shouldn't be too lenient.
