Indeed, G0-T0 was pointless. I mean not just game mechanically but also story wise. He just didn't have much to offer and his motivations were kind of flimsy.

There is nothing wrong with a bit of antagonism, as long as it is constructive. First off I doubt God really gives a shat what is going on in the world. He created 3 religions that are at each others throats and is doing nothing about it. He created the religions, they are his responsibility and I hold Him accountable. Secondly Bush is an idiot. He did right to destroy the Taliban in Afganistan for they we directly tied to Al Qaeda and they attacked us. I have no problems with wiping them out completely and totally. What Bush ****ed up is when he moved on from Afganistan, without finishing off Al Qaeda and killing Osama Bin Ladin, and moved on to Iraq. Iraq had no capabilties to attack the US on US soil, no weapons of mass destruction (yes Saddam used them in the past but he used them up), and very much contained. Also there are no ties to Saddam's regime to Al Qaeda. In fact Osama and Saddam hated eac hother by all accounts. Bush wanted oil and revenge and nothing else.

I never saw fable as a CRPG but more of an action game with out of character CRPGishness.

I would rather get Oblivion. At least you get a full game with up to date graphics than 3 smaller adventures with dated graphics and engine.

Anyway, when civilization falls it will be a slow death, not an abrupt one. Frankly I think we are inthe beginning stages of it with all the corruption in various governments and religious zealots with guns and bomb running around.

I like the Resident Evil movies. They stay true to the style of the games yet put their own spin on the events. For a game to movie, both of them are the best of the bunch and good enough to stand on their own without the game backing them. It is worth the rental to see if you like them and if you do, they are worth the buy.

I say let the Iraqies deal with themselves. If the people can be bullied by insurgents then they don't deserve to be free. If they want the same freedoms as the US let them fight the nsurgents themselves. Let them mind their own store and let our troops come out and let our resources go to the hurricane hit areas.

The Series was called Firefly because that was the class of ship that Mal and his crew uses. The movie was called Serenity for that is the particular handle Mal's ship has. I hope that is clear.

Haha, the guy who's vividly talking about features in a game that's not been released yet and noone has played is actually accusing someone who's using at least something real (experience with Morrowind) as grounds for his statements, for "spouting off at the mouth". Self insight.. Epiphany, as usual you have swallowed the entire hype machine surrounding whatever it is you're interested in at the moment and talk about this hype as if it's facts. Newsflash: it's not! Yes they said they fixed the issues people had in the first game but at the same time developers and publishers have been known to overhype their games. It is a good idea to take note what they said and claim, but also accept what they say with a grain of salt until we are able to play the game ourselves.

Except that the whole game is based around repetative tasks which wont raise sufficiently through normal gameplay. But feel free to share your method of improving your jumping skill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I improved my Jumping skill by jumping and climbling over mountains in the game. I didn't spam the jump button. If I didn't need to jump, run, swing a sword, or cast a spell, and whatnot I didn't.

You get a quick idea of all the characters basic past in the first 20 mintues of the movie but the television series will get you a better understanding of everyone. Watching the TV series isn't a prerequisite to enjoy the movie for it is whole in of itself but if you have seen the series you get an expanded view of the characters' personalities and histories. If you haven't seen the series you need to because it was one of the best sci fi shows and died way before its time. Compared to SG-1, Atlantis, current Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, all the Star Trek series, and so forth it was far superior.

Oh I forgot that I would get a shotgun full of rocksalt and shoot at anyone who got five feet of me, unless it was Darque.

It is the best science fiction movie released in the last 10 years. better than the Star Wars prequels. It is better than Minority Report. It is the Sci Fi equivelent of LotR. GO SEE IT NOW!!!!! (w00t) Unless you have a full 60" screen and full stereo home theatre a DVD cannot do it justice. If you like hard science fiction with a lil' bit of whimsy then you will love Serenity.

Movies are pre-rendered. For them to do that they would need one set of movies at 640 x 480, then another set of movies at 800 x 600, then another set at 1024 x 786, and so on. Bink movies have a set resolution and cannot be resized on the spur of the moment. That is why I am against pre-rendered video. If the FMV can be done in the game engine then by all means use the game engine for the FMV than use Bink. Sure you will need a more versitile game engine, but the quality would be for much better than relying on preset video.

I would get a lawn chair, some popcorn, and a twelve pack of cream soda and watch the madness.

I hated Gothic 2. I couldn't make my own character, the controls were horrid, the combat uber lame. Third worse game I have ever played. As for my favorite games (not just CRPGs) there are Fallout 1 and 2, Planescape Torment, The WIng Commander series, the Lunar Series, Jade Empire, Halo, Halo 2, Doom 3, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, and the Ultima series minus 8 and 9.

Nice work Nurie. If you can make some of those concept art pieces as a new skin for the launcher that would be cool to. Anyway, I think its a nice mod that puts some of Obsidian's great art to proper work.
