  1. They are not the one's making the game.
  2. I like Baldur's Gate, so that bursts that little theory of yours, Mothman.
  3. My simian sense is tingling that this thread will be locked soon.
  4. I think you both need to back off and get a breather so we can get back to the topic at hand. If you guys want to bicker like schoolgirls take it to PMs and not this thread.
  5. Isn't it ironic, don't you think?
  6. When I was at Bahrain a few years back I observed Ramadam to show respect to the Muslims that I was dealing with on a daily basis.
  7. And the ability to use them in a satisfactory manner.
  8. Its a derivitive of cocaine.
  9. Agreed. BGDA and BGDA 2 was a waste of time to produce and not worth playing.
  10. Bastila is a force goddess by the end of KotOR 1 as well. Seriously we need to stay away from the godlike 20 level pluss characters. I think it was rather inane of Obsidian to include Mandy-Candy in KotOR 2. He was very much so maxed level at the end of KotOR 1 and while it is plausible for droids to be mind wiped back to first level organics is a completely different beast.
  11. There are three methods of character progression. One is doing the level up, the second is learning as you go, and the third is a hybrid of the two. Now in games that uses the level up system showing the statistics is vital because it gives the player a concrete understanding what his or her character can and cannot do. Its a method used in many CRPGs and it is the closest method to PnP RPGing Having you character learn skills and abilities based on what the character does has its own strengths. It actually forces the player to make use of the skills he or she wants to focus on instead of letting the player choose to level up and spend his points on abilities he never worked towards. It actually pushes actual role playing but at the same time the game does not necessarily needs to show character statistics and other metagaming material for the player to gauge the strengths and weaknesses of the character. I have yet played a game that uses this method satisfactory in a Single Player CRPG. Then there is the hybrid which uses a combination of both systems to some degree or another. A good representation of that is Morrowind. Personally I like the level up system, but if we can geta good story driven game that uses the second method to its fullest potential I think it could be fun.
  12. I hated Diablow 1 and Diablow 2.
  13. Its the past and therefore irrelevant. Codexers don't seem to post here any more and I don't post over there. It is a satisfactory arrangement.
  14. I used to post there and go to that site on a daily basis but then one of thier higher ups decided to harass me and his gang of thugs followed suit when this forum opened. The problem was resolved and that was that.
  15. I am confrontational. They are far worse.
  16. Because they are a bunch of beligerent asses. They have a very narrow view on what makes a game a good CRPG and will verbally attack, spam, send disgusting images, and threaten anyone who challenges their opinions. At least that is my experience with them.
  17. It won't work, The Architect, for one main reason. Both Revan and Exile are Force Gods at the end of KotOR 1 and 2. Playing Force Gods is stupid and boring.
  18. Maybe he went off and made that Star Wars conversion for NWN.
  19. Could have fooled me.
  20. Stop smoking pot and drink a lot of water. Water will fill up the stomach. If you need to eat something eat celery. You won't get fat eating celery for it takes more calories to to eat it than what you get from it.
  21. Tell that to the designers of Warriors of the Eternal Sun DnD CRPG for the Sega Genesis. One of the best CRPGs ever done on console.
  22. I rather have them onthe PC.
  23. They should have Janet Jackson to do the half time show next year. BOOBIES! (w00t)
