  1. Luckily for you guys, the game is going to allow pre-loading starting this Friday. Confirmed by Aarik, one of the Obsidian dudebros
  2. Would you mind elaborating on this point? Are you saying that while your party is on land and out adventuring, that Resting the party will also trigger some resting cost from the ships crew sitting back in port?Food is a resource shared by the party and the crew. Every day that passes, the crew eats a certain amiunt of food and they are paid their daily wage. Wasting too much time resting will not only deplete your gold as you pay your crew, but your food (since they gotta eat too). I believe it is one unit of food (any type of food, but some foods have morale bonuses) per crew member per day.
  3. That would be pretty cool, but yeah, I can see the reloading bug getting in the way of this while dual wielding. We’ll just have to see once the game is finally here.
  4. I had a melee ranger in the first game, so I'm planning to run with trickster (I like the idea of some defensive/offensive illusion spells) and Stalker (Melee ranger so defense bonus is great)
  5. CENIC is right, dude. I’d rather look cool than have my fantasy game be realistic. We all find fun in our own ways, mate.
  6. I got an answer on the April 25th Obsidian Q&A/Gameplay Stream. Melee only in melee range and ranged only at a distance. Thanks everyone
  7. Why post them in this format though? I would have to cut them out individually if I wanted to use them. ? I'm not sure I understand... you just have to open them with paint and save the one you need. It's literally the simplest way i can think of. If you mean why I didn't also put them in the "small" format, it's because some people like to have the exact same image, while other people like cutting a little more the image to only have the face in the small-size portrait... so everyone can choose what they prefer but if you need something (or some size) in particular, I can make it for you, it's like a two-second job EDIT: also, i basically have all my portrait saved like this: MALE PORTRAITS - 1 https://i.imgur.com/fO9Gzhk.jpg because of how easy it is to store them and cut them. i don't really have the single original images anymore, so I really hope they don't change the size of the portrait from 210x330 to something bigger, because that would be terrible for me, like hundreds of useless images :D Those look really good. I wish I had the skill to make a watercolor version of the black guy (So I can finally have a portrait that look similar to me) for when the game comes out.
  8. I'm pretty sure it applies to multiclass as well. Also, like PoE1, you can't save points you use for abilities and talents (You can't progress through the level-up screen until you use them). I wouldn't call it a waste of ability/talent points, however, since it's just the starting point of your character. You have plenty of room to grow and will be able to get talent you want by level 2.
  9. I don't have access to the beta, so I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure in Character Creation, you only have those 2 actives to choose from (I guess to prevent players from just starting out with passives?), but once you start the game, you can pick any skill provided you have a high enough power level.
  10. I appreciate your input. Even if it's not the most effective, I just hope I can fire a single shot from stealth to start the fight, and then jump in later after a few seconds to start slashing dudes without having to switch weapons. Here's hoping the pistol won't reload in melee range like that.
  11. I'd like to know if it's viable to put points into 3 or more active skills and 3 or more passive skills, or whether I should place emphasis on one or 2 skills in each category. Thanks.
  12. I appreciate the info, kmbogd. This is actually how I'd hoped it would work, as I had a one-handed melee ranger in the first game and wanted to bring him back with a pistol offhand. Thanks, and have a good one.
  13. I plan to make a Rogue/Ranger (Scout) when I finally get my hands on the game. I also want to wield a sword with pistol offhand because it just looks cool to me (I don't care if it's not the most effective). I just want to know how it works in combat (Sword use only at close range and pistol only at range? Something else?). Also, will it benefit from the two-weapon style perk? If anybody has access to the beta, I'd appreciate an answer. Thank you, and have a nice day.
