Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 3
Chairchucker replied to ShadySands's topic in Computer and Console
There is, IMO, no reason for that character to survive until act 4 in any good aligned run. -
The Djokavic situation is interesting, not because there's anything remotely sympathetic about Novak's plight, screw that guy, I hope he gets kicked out, but because his detention at the same place a bunch of people have been detained for like a decade for the crime of trying to not get murdered in their home country has highlighted their plight. A bunch of his fans went down to protest on his behalf and realised his plight was not the biggest deal.

Yeah I'm not sure Emily Blunt's capable of making a bad movie TBH. No one should feel any obligation to prove me wrong.

Past Chairchucker was alternately a rude jerk and fine, actually. Some of my old posts make me want to delete everything before 2010, some of my old posts make me think 'nope, past me was great'. In more MOVIE related news, The Eternals comes to Disney+ this week. It got mixed enough reviews to make me not bother with the cinema experience, but I'm sure gonna watch it since I'm already paying for the subscription.

Honestly, one of the biggest problems with our political system is our voters, sadly. We have, somehow, managed to avoid the majority of the voter suppression nonsense that goes on in the USA, and we've got a somewhat more robust election system that should mean the two major parties don't have the overwhelming stranglehold on all sections of Government that is the case in the USA, the main problem is that many voters just ignore the smaller parties on principle. Anyway, hoping for Liberal and Labor (the latter of whom shamefully spells their name the American way) both lose a bunch of seats to more progressive candidates, but I honestly think Liberal will probably stay in power. EDIT: Re: the insurrection/terrorists thing, I think one of the 'goals' was to terrorise Pence into 'doing the right thing' and exercising his political power that he didn't actually have I think, and declaring Trump God Emperor for another 12 years.

A whole bunch of 'old man yells at sequels' in that crappy video.

Had my first meeting with this Playful Darkness fellow. Gotta say, it really gave me a greater appreciation for summoning spells. -
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 3

The whole 'rotating camera moves scenery' mechanic is an innovative one, and one I hope never to see in any other video game. I'm already wrestling with your frequently frustrating camera, don't make it even more frustrating for me. -
I'll try to address this sentence by sentence I guess. Maxwell and Epstein have been photographed with a number of rich and/or powerful white dudes. It's not a matter of 'belief', it is a matter of public record that they were acquainted with these men, and some of the victims specifically stated that those men were involved. Trump specifically name dropped Epstein in one of his speeches. Some people certainly believe that Epstein would've cut a deal if he hadn't died in mysterious circumstances. I definitely think absurdly rich white dudes have more power and influence than criminal syndicates, yes.

I think it's good that Ghislaine is going prison, or jail or whichever one it is, forever, but also I kind of wanted her to roll over on every single rich and powerful rapist that she and Epstein ever enabled, even if that meant she never went to prison. I understand her desire not to get murdered, however.

If It’s Fear, I Think People Need Therapy or Something

I haven't played tabletop RPGs in a while. Nonetheless, here's what I think the answer is: Dungeons and Dragons, for all its (many) faults, is and probably always will be the single most popular tabletop RPG system, and this will most likely remain the case for every single iteration from now until the heat death of the universe. It got in early, it established a foothold and an insane amount of brand recognition, and now it's the game that most people will be familiar with. I did a quick internet search and more than half of campaigns using the Roll20 software (this was in 2019) are using dungeons and dragons. What this means is that well over half of current players at any given time will probably be familiar with that game system. A likely barrier to entry for buying any new game system is that the DM and all the players have to learn a new game system. Now, some people are into that - I semi recently played a couple sessions of some Star Wars RPG that used a very different system, and had a blast making my character and checking out how the systems work. The DM was the same. Our other two players, much less so. For many people making a new game system, it is probably, in a financial sense, a much safer bet if you can tell prospective players and DMs 'you won't have to learn a whole new system to play and enjoy this game, because it is functionally identical to the game system that you're already familiar with, just with a fresh new setting.' -
Yeah, I mostly saw mine on streaming services, and frankly at the moment that just seems like a sensible decision. You can count what you want imo, it's your list.

I want Anna Kendrick to play me. She doesn't look remotely like me, not least because I'm a man, but I feel like she's got the range to pull it off.

I went and tried to find a list of 2021 movies that I watched in 2021, and I've put them in (approximate) rank order Spider-Man: No Way Home Promising Young Woman Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings The Map of Tiny Perfect Things Cruella Raya and the Last Dragon The Mitchells vs The Machines Jungle Cruise Luca Needle in a Timestack Free Guy Ron's Gone Wrong Space Sweepers Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas Black Widow The Tomorrow War Army of the Dead Muppets Haunted Mansion Vacation Friends Nobody Boss Level Christmas... Again? Thunder Force A couple things about this list: Spider-Man No Way Home and Promising Young Woman occupy, for me, a joint first place, where I kinda think PYW is the better movie, but I enjoyed SMNWH more and am way more likely to want to rewatch it. From there down to, ooooh let's say Mitchells vs the Machines, are extremely good movies imo. Jungle Cruise down to Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas, still really good and entertaining. Black Widow down to Christmas Again are reasonably entertaining but probs had some element I wasn't massively into or think could've been done better. Thunder Force was pretty bad. There's probs room for a bit of rearrangement in a lot of those sections, but the top two and the bottom one are definitely fixed in place. Also I'm definitely going to watch at least one more film this year, Encanto. These were mostly watched on streaming services BTW. EDIT: Forgot about Home Sweet Home Alone. Equalish last place, which makes for some pleasing symmetry.

Weeeellll, that depends. It's working all right for some I guess. I fortunately don't live in the USA, where it's increasingly not working for millions, where (for example) for profit prisons and health care are leaving people in some pretty awful positions. (I think I heard they're gonna cut it out with the prisons, so that's neat.) Here in Australia, (and many other Western nations) there's a few more limitations on the 'free market', and as a consequence it's not quite the apocalyptic hellscape the USA has been shaping up to be these past few years. Seems like some of our population (politicians included) would very much like to head that way though, which is a bit of a bummer.

I saw Spider-Man and it gives Spiderverse a real run for its money in the 'best Spider-Movie' stakes. Recommended.

Yeah OK that looks cool.

IMO the biggest positive about the crusade system over Kingmaker's is that you can toggle it off.
