  1. Bah, since that video doesn't have Ridge Racer or attacking the weak spot for massive damage!!!, it fails.
  2. Er? I barely see anything coming out this summer, (except Madden, but ever since EA got the exclusive rights....). Almost every "good" 360 game is either on the on the computer or current gen systems. On the PC COD 2 has better multi, Oblivion has mods, GRAW is deeper, and Battlefield 2 is bigger and more tactical. The current gen sports title make the next gen sports titles look like crap, and will probaly continue to do so until 2008. The true 360 exclusive games aren't all that great, except for maybe Condemned. All in all, the 360's current game library is pretty sorry, and the lack of true backwards compatibility is really going to hurt Microsoft in the long run since the PS3 will be able to play games from the freaking PS1.
  3. Sony has fans in both the Japenese and American markets. They're going to make the most money. Microsoft can't touch Japan, they tried and they failed.
  4. Killer app?!?! If Oblivion is the 360's killer app with it's stuttering framerates, multitude of bugs, and shallow no choice gameplay, then the 360 is doomed. DOOMED I TELL YOU!
  5. A Super Star Destroyer! I want one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pfft. One lucky A-Wing can take that thing down. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In fact, I bet that A-Wing squadrons in the game will have the ability to take down SSDs with a suicide attack that kills the SSD in one hit!
  6. It's not that I hate the Halo series, it's just that I don't buy the hype. The original Halo was a good FPS, but not the best as everyone wants to call it, it had problems that took away from my enjoyment; I enjoyed Republic Commando more(which also had problems). Halo 2 was basically Halo 1 with dual wielding, the ability to jack vehicles, and the original's storyline with some addons. Bungie could make Halo 2 all over again, add a new character called Robert, and call it Halo 3 and people would still be drooling over it. Edit: I thought the NWN2 trailer was sorry too.
  7. I just watched the trailer, and in my opinion, it wasn't worth it. All the Halo fanboys are probably going to be drooling all over it however.
  8. That Warhammer video kicked some booty.
  9. I won't buy the hype just yet. I have to see the game in action, not just listen to the developer talk about how great it's going to be.
  10. Hm. Oblivion was already pushing it with the content already in the game. Disfigured and mutilated corpses, decomposed heads, people talking about murdering children, zombies with their brains hanging out, blood, etc. I don't know why they didn't just give it a M rating in the first place.
  11. I think so, yes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're kidding right? Right? If they charge for a patch, honestly, I'll never touch Elder Scrolls series again, (not that I bought Oblivion anyway, I used my Blockbuster game pass. , it's not worth 60$ in my opinion. ) Edit: Hopefully it's only a rumor, if they do charge for a patch....well I doubt even the most rabid fanboys would support them then.
  12. Since the actual game mechanics is the only part of Aurora that remains, its a safe bet that the gameplay of NWN2 will be pretty much the same as in NWN1. From what Ive heard, theyre recycling animations and whatnot for it too. Well ok, the interface will be different, youll have control of the entire party, therell be tweaks and youll be able to stack up to three actions per party member when paused. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Makes me wonder what the interface will look like.
  13. Graphics look good, but I want to know more about gameplay. Oblivon for example focused too much on pretty pictures then good deep gameplay.
  14. Don't pass on it. You should at least rent it and try it out first, or, buy it for your computer.
  15. Be prepared for loading times sooooo long, that by the time you finish everything, you'll be able to buy a computer that can run Oblivion for 50$. :D Seriously, the loading times on the Xbox are atrocious. Also, you can get Morrowind and it's expansions in the Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition.
  16. Morrowind, and all it's expansions, were ported to the Xbox. Unless you're talking about Oblivion being ported to the Xbox?
  17. My sarcasm detector's going to blow up, unless you don't consider the Xbox a console.
  18. Ahhh, Morrowind. I remember how it used to take me about two weeks just to finish a guild questline in that game. It might of gotten tedious sometimes, but mostly when you got to the action, it was nice. In Oblivion on the other hand, I can finish all the guilds, the main quest, and a slew of other quests in about two weeks. No joke. All Morrowind needed in my opinion was speedier travel and more clear cut directions, and it would of been ten times better.
  19. Why would you need to go into Oblivion? Azura's Star is given to ya when you complete her shrine quest. Or did I misunderstand... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You didn't misunderstand. You don't have to go into Oblivion to get Azura's Star, think goodness! I got tired of the Oblivion planes very fast because they're all so linear and boring.
  20. I'd rather cheat then repeat the same field of enemies thirty times because I got sniped right before the next checkpoint. Games should give the player the choice to save anywhere he wants, so if you don't want to "cheat", you don't have to.
  21. My character, Obi-Wan . I created him to be a stealthy tank type that's self sufficent. He can sneak up and kill you in one hit from his blade, and if it comes down to it, can beat you in a straight up fight. If he gets hurt or needs to repair his armor, he can do it himself also. I leveled up marksman some, but I didn't use it that much. Race: Imperial Birthsign: The Warrior Specialty: Combat Main Attributes: Strength and Endurance Level: 24 My attributes: Strength-104 Intelligence-48 Willpower-38 Agility-83 Speed-54 Endurance-108 Personality-73 ( it mostly comes from equipment) Luck-75(I didn't touch this during level up at all) Major Skills: Armorer- 63 Blade- 101 Block-64 Heavy Armor-85 Restoration-53 Marksman-36 Sneak-79 Minor Skills that are important: Athletics-51 Acrobatics-53 Security-66 (buffed from the skeleton key) And now for the factions: Mages Guild Rank-Arch Mage Knights of the White Stallion Rank-Knight Errant Order of the Dragon Rank-Champion of Cyrodil Knights of the Thorn Rank-Honorary Knight Order of the Virtous Blood Rank-Brother Fighters Guild Rank-Master Thieves Guild Rank-Gray Fox Arena Rank-Grand Champion Dark Brotherhood Rank-Listener Blades Rank-Knight Brother A fame rating of 128 and an infamy rating of 57, and 137 quests completed. I think I ran through most of the content, and clearing dungeon after dungeon doesn't interest me. Oblivion feels shorter then Morrowind to me.
  22. You know, I saved that guy in the video by running around him and past the trap. I expected him to just keep on leading me forward after I talked to him, but it seems if he doesn't die on the trap, he just stands in one spot forever, and the quest doesn't update. To make it worse, when you talk to him, all he has is one topic; rumors.
  23. I finally got past the dungeon bug and completed the main quest. Now that I'm level 19 though, glass, ebony, and daedric stuff is dropping like crazy everywhere! Since I was holding back my level ups until I completed the main quest, (was level 11), it seems kind of funky that in about a few hours of rest everyone suddenly got glass weapons when they were just using iron swords.
  24. This is where I'm stuck, just in case anyone is wondering. Got this screenie off another forum.
  25. Yes, I heard it make a sound, I saw it go down, everything, but nothing happened. EDIT: I was able to get a quick look in at the gate the button I pushed supposedly opened, and that gate wasn't open either!
