OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who gives a rats ass if somebody likes the EU enough to quote it and decide that it's part of the official timeline!!!!!! If you don't love the EU then don't read it! If you do than read it! Stop bickering about it! And yes, anything that is outside Of the Movie Timelines counts as EU, even if some people don't think that way. Put it this way, Dark Forces Jedi Knight involves Kyle Katarns search to kill Jeric or whatever, it's expansion pack involves Mara Jade, all these people are from EU because its extended from the films, its the same thing, but like I've always said, it's just there to be enjoyed, I don't see why people freak out at the slightest misinterpretation, take the New DVD's for example, it has some people on the verge of revolt because lucas decided to smack Christenson (or however its spelled) at the end instead of that old guy. And I see your point about that some people don't see games as EU and I respect thier opinions, but I myself don't realy care and consider everything in the SW universe one coherent whole and simply ignore the small flaws that go with it, so I see the whole thing as the Star Wars Universe, not as the 'Movies vs. the EU' anyway

I like this games time period? I love the EU, and I don't seam to understand how someone who is so eagerly anticipating the release of an EU game can abhor the EU as much as you seam to. Anyway.

It's just not Star Wars style to put a Sith Lord or Lady in white robes with white hair and a blue lightsaber, as of yet, I've never seen an atractive Sith of any kind, so I highly doubt that Atris is a Sith Lord.

I meant the story revolving around the Revan/Malak war, and the Mandalore wars. I just don't see much else they can do with this specific story arc after TSL is released. Maybe if they moved it another 2000 years forward, but not if it's just another "5 years later, after Darth Sion was killed..." type thing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can't really be sure of that untill we see how this one ends. Who's to say we actually kill all the Sith Lords this round huh? Maybe it'll pull a Baldurs Gate 2 and allow you to import your old character with all his/her abilities stil activated! I loved BG2 for this reason.

As for XBOX users, this glitch cannot be duplicated, it doesn't matter what you do, or how you do it, the glitch is completely random. I've come across it three times, and have a save game file for it, other than that, you have to 'accidentally' hit the bug, which pretty much happens at random. It will warp you to three or four different areas of the map, and the others will simply freeze up the game. It was stated somewhere in the KOTOR 1 forums by a developer that this glitch was once the quality assurance workers 'backdoor' so that they could continually check back on things. Probably to make sure Glitches had been fixed and whatnot. The game itself came out a little earlier than it should have, and the game is full of little minor glitches, this just happens to be the fun one.

Nobody can be Waaaay to obsessed with star wars? But some people can lose sight of the fact that its only there to have fun with, and not to complain about. The KOTOR series has not run its course. It could go on, Star Wars tends to run in trilogies as it is. As for the era itself, there are a few books getting ready to come out in the KOTOR timeline which is agreeable to me, as I like that age of the Star Wars saga, even if those of you who despise EU don't seam to realize that this game itself is EU material, and is no less EU than comics, Books, or... oh yeah, every Star Wars game based on anything other than the movies

Yeah don't worry about it to much, nowdays those of us with practically new computers are descovering that all the new games coming out require the Pixel Shader, and are either going to have to buy a new Graphics card, or new computer. I think I'm going to need the later for the next Everquest game, have a friend with testing, and man oh man is that game fun!

Your only a fenatic when... You know that the Evenstar (the necklass Arwen gave to Arogorn in the movies) can be looked through to see anything at its most beutiful point. You know that Sauron was a woss compared to his predecessor Morgoth. When you know that Tom Bombadil (who was saddly cut from the films) was in fact the oldest creature on Middle Earth and NOT Treebeard. That Lgolas is the Prince of Mirkwood, a forrest that may yet be shown if they make a 'The Hobbit' film The names Ancalegon, Glaurung, and Smaug bring the word Dragon immediately to mind. You know all the names of the Valar( Manwe, Varda, Ulmo, Aule, Yavanna, Namo, Irmo, Este, Nienna, Tulkas, and Orome) and know that the reason all the Elves were leaving Middle earth at the end of the movies was that they were going to Valanor, where they would spend eternity living with these 'gods'. That there was once an elf who fought and defeated three of four attacking Balrogs, putting Gandalf to shame. That there was only one battle in all of Middle Earth in which Each race of Elves, Dwarves, and Men all fought together and it was waaaay bigger than anything the movies threw at us, but ultimately ended in failure. And much.... much more. Anyway, I agree that to use an Item of extream power would be taking a cheap way out, and not putting alot of thought into the structure of the plotline, that doesn't meant that the plot couldn't be good using this formulaic build. Here comes the acuasations.

As far as a third party could go, I'd have to say that, while the novels in which the series ran in were not of the greatest calibur, the Yuuzhan Vong of 'The New Jedi Order' was quite an interesting race, what with thier obsession with pain and all, and the little fact that the force effects them not. Jedi v.s Sith v.s Vong, the ultimate showdown for the galaxy. You can then chose either to be a Human or a Yuzhan Vong character in the begining of the game, and if you chose to go Vong, you have such great abilities as, snake lance, force disruption, and excrutiating health (the equivilent of force heal) Seriously though, the Vong were a cool enemy, even if the novels they were in sucked.

And as the very first post in this forum, along with that wonderful monolauge of the Star Wars: HK-47 by Sarroll a few posts back made me laugh, I'd say it was successful! Honestly I love and respect the EU, I find it odd when people say that something Lucas-approved is moot and only the movies are 'cannon'. I think that these are the people who spend tooo much of thier lives so obsessed with Star Wars that they forget to just shut up and have fun instead of picking at its every scratch and hole (I won't go so far as to say I never have, but I usually do it simpy to premote good fun, and It's never really a hostile feeling like it gets for some people). I have found my share of mistakes yes, but am I going to publically write a complaint about them? No, it's all there to be enjoyed and entertaining, if every now and then there is a mistake, nobody should care as much as they seam to, and I think it would be fine if the EU carried itself rather than being shunted and spit at because Obi-wan met C-3PO once in a comic book when "THE MOVIE CLEARLY SHOWS THEY HAVE NEVER MET!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ah those poor fanboys and fangirls So sad....so sad indeed.
