I don't think that works but i never tried it. Normally i don't use gouging strike, because confounding blind is better. Yeah, Gouging Strike seems a bit more of a niche ability.

Shark Soup prevents that Yay! Good to know. I have been trying to minimize damage, by using Dex resistance items. It moves it to paralize, which while still deadly, doesn't insta kill companions when she does her shaut. I ended up cheesing the fight by endlessly spawning summoned weapons with chanter from hinding. Will try to kill her in a more legit way sometime later. Did you succeed nonetheless? And how long did it take you?

Sorry, one more question: Can you stack multiple Brands and Gouging Strikes if you have multiple Paladins or Rogues, as I often do?

Also, is there a way to prevent you from petrified or paralyzed or whatever that the spider(s) did? A trinket or skill just for this fight? It seemed like half of my crew were perma-stunned.

Ok, I watched the video several times, and I am a bit confused as to what you did. It seems like your hiding in the entrance corner until the mother spider dies. So what was damaging the spider? Rogue gouging strike. It deals raw damage, so it pens all the time. Brand Enemy deals ony 2, because it is fire based and has a penetration of only 12.3 and she got 17 Fire armor. But you have a melee weapon on, and I don't see you attacking on the screen? Did you switch to a ranged weapon?

Potd upscaled. It definitly takes around 15+ minutes, after you could use gouging strike on it, with max combat speed enabled. Jesus Christ. And how do you stay alive then? Is Eld Nary the primary damage dealer for Chanters now that Dragon Thrashed is less useful? I have no idea what to get on Chanters any more, so I more or less picked randomly for the story Druid/Chanter (I forgot his name).

Do Expose Vulnerabilities and the Shield Cracks stack? Embarrassed to admit, but I've never used either, LOL! I think in PoE 1 PotD, I relied pretty much on Sacred Immolation and Dragon Thrashed.

Did you do it at PotD? How long did it take? I tried him for laughs, and his bar didn't go past 75 percent health

I don't know for sure in terms of overall damage- but it's definitely faster attack speed. For full-attack abilities, range is determined only by your mainhand. I was not aware - thanks!
