What are you playing now?
And by editing your post like this, I can pretend you are talking about Saints Row and proceed to disagree with your assessment that the parody doesn't work. Furthermore, I can question your sanity for suggesting it could be anything but an over-the-top parody. *beams happily* I have to admit I didn't think that the MGS series was meant to be a parody ever, it falls in line with managa and many other japanese game series so I assume it was just a culturual style. It's become a barrier for me because as series like MGS and |Final Fantasy become more cinematic and manga-like, especially with the dialogue which rarely seems to translate well, I find it harder and harder to get into them. Which is just a personal gripe but.. anyway, MGS seems more in-line with other big games from Japan so I question whether it actually is a parody or not, even though the series has always had plenty of in-jokes scattered about.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Which one would that be? In PST, you can decide what the story of TNO is. In KOTOR 2, you can decide what the story of The Exile is. In NWN2, you can decide what the story of the Spirit-Eater is. In FONV, you can decide what the Couriers story is. The way I see it, all of the games he has worked on that are hailed as "RPG Gold" do that. I think what Chris meant in his quote was that when something happens in a game that the designer didn't script or plan, like in Skyrim for example when you figured out you can steal from people by putting a pot over their head or when the developers figured out that chickens were reporting you to guards when they saw you committing a crime, those instances resonate more with the player than any game narrative or dialogue that designers can create (which I disagree with personally). I think he was advocating making games with more emergent gameplay like classic x-com or dwarf fortress where interesting situations essentially create themselves through systems interacting with each other and the player in-game raher than leading the player along with a strong narrative story.

Yeah definately. I love BF3 but I've never found a server where both teams work together. If commander mode helps get more teamplay in public matches then I'm all for it.

Movies You've Seen Recently
I saw a movie called 'Brake' yesterday. The entire film is one guy stuck in a box with a radio. Literally, the film never switches to other characters or flashbacks, it's just one guy in a confined space for one hour and twenty minutes trying to figure out why he's there and escape. And it's brilliant, I cannot believe they kept it entertaining and suspenseful for that long. The ending is reminiscent of Mass Effect 3 where you wish they'd cut to credits just a little earlier but I'm glad I watched it.

But wasn't Riddick the emperor of a fearsome space roman army by the end of the last film? How does he still find himself in such precarious situations?- Has Anyone Watched Fringe?
Yes Fringe is excellent, I have watched all seasons. I assumed this was a common and popular TV series that everyone had watched? I loved it from start to finish but apparently it's popularity was waning towards the end which is why the last series and the whole invasion plotline was rushed. I heard some theory that people started watching it on Hulu more than on television because it clashed with other popular shows (which has apparently killed a couple of really good shows now ike Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles) because of loss of advertisement revenue or something.- Has Anyone Watched Fringe?

So basically they wait until right after I make my post about how everyone knows publishers can't let customers share digital copies of games or they'll go out of business before making a press release saying they're going to allow people to share digital copies of games.
