  1. This one was my favourite
  2. I think flying units in Soulstorm were worth it just to see the grot-rockets from the ork fighta-bomber. They're 40k's equivillent of goblin doom divers.
  3. I was on board Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor until that. I'm the reverse, but then I don't really know who Lex Luthor is besides the arch nemesis of Superman. I agree with Lexx about the trailer spoiling the movie. The previous trailers had setup and took what was looking to be a really fresh and interesting take on super hero movies and turn it into just another super hero movie. I mean really, Batman possibly becoming too jaded and turning into a villain or Superman being so powerful as to become disconnected from humanity and becoming some kind of despot or destructive influence that needs to be stopped, that was such a brilliant concept. **** the Justice League, they should have pushed the Batman vs Superman thing. I'm sure the film will be good but it just seems like such a wasted opportunity.
  4. But think of all the opportunities for one-liners you'd be missing out on. "If I had a hammer, oh wait, I do", "It's hammer time", "Keep calm and hammer on" ect.
  5. I'm thinking of reinstalling Blood Bowl but it still hurts whenever I think about Bob the Bloodthirster (R.I.P. Bob). In the meantime I've finally started playing Wasteland 2. It's so good, I love it. Instant Fallout nostalgia and it feels like I'm back in the 90's again, in a good way.
  6. This kind of situation is why I never go to the gym.
  7. Parasite Eve was a brilliant game, not the best but one of Square's better titles. I really wish they'd re-release it on PC. The combat system and weapon modding were both well designed and the New Game Plus was basically a separate game where you had to ascend a tower building fighting enemies on every floor.
  8. One can only imagine what the game could've been like if was made with the PoE engine (and TB combat). Oh, how do I wish... Where did they come from? And yes, utterly breathtaking.
  9. That would be a major disadvantage. I mean even outside of combat, how much dirt would you get in that thing? How much would you dehydrate from having an eye that big? How does he have room for a heart and lungs under that thing? Come on Chaos, you're supposed to be the fighty gods, think it through!
  10. I think logical arguments aside, the new acrobatic style is more fun to watch. The choreography in The Old Republic intros were terrific and I hope the new movies aim to replicate some of that rather than the Phantom Menace stuff (Which I enjoyed but now that everyone has pointed out how flawed and horrible it is I also can't take seriously ).
  11. This is like finding out your local sports team has disbanded I even started to recognize familiar faces in screenshots like the shield-bearer who lost her arm. Well okay, only the shield-bearer who lost her arm. Does that make me a bad person?
  12. I wish someone would do that [again] for Fallout. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but have you not played Wasteland 2? I've not played Wasteland 2. I've been stuck at the character creation screen for two days. I can't become even passably adept at every skill and my completionist compulsion is stopping me from progressing until I find a way. Even the Witcher 2 prologue wasn't this much of a challenge.
  13. Incidentally you could make the previous game level 30 your level one by keeping the same enemies and having base skills while subsequently escalating the difficulty. A games reviewer had an idea once about starting the player at the maximum level and stripping levels, skills and equipment from him as he progressed. I have no idea if that could actually work or if there'd be any kind of audience for it but it sounded like an interesting idea on how to mix up level and difficulty progression. You'd basically be turning the level pyramid on it's head by starting overpowered and after a certain point every level right to the end of the game is balanced and challenging. There might also be a thrill from having to make hard choices and think carefully and adapt your play-style as your options become more limited.
  14. Didn't they base the rules on chess? I know that doesn't preclude them from mixing up terrain more but it probably helped them keep things balanced and make the combat more in keeping with their vision.
  15. It's not typical of Bethesda games to force you to do the side activities for the main plot, one alley of logic being that you can still do that stuff for hours and hours after the story ends.
  16. I haven't started Wasteland 2 yet but this make me want to drop everything and give it a go. Even the premise of that quest sounds hilarious.
  17. Time-zone? Perhaps he's posting from the future?
  18. I suppose it also depends on who you and your twin are. If you're Scarlette Johanson and your twin sister looks like Scarlette Johanson then you'll at least consider it right?
  19. In my experience it will fall off on it's own if it's turned black. I'd wait for it to loosen to the point where it's practically off on it's own, if for no other reason than you don't want to tear the soft skin off the top of your toe more than you have to. In my case it both itched and hurt like a mother. Also be warned that your toe is going to feel weird after the nail's gone and it's going to take longer than you'd expect to grow a new one.
  20. Then they should not be in the business. Then they should not be in the business. Like Obsidian? Troika? Iron Lore? CD Projekt Red?
  21. A more important question is probably how many flawed gems will be abandoned after release because too many people have returned them and how will this effect smaller publishers and indie devs who may not have the luxury of being able to afford a delay and can't take the financial hit of a failed title.
  22. I can't watch the video at the moment but I hope it's not the case. The last Shadow Warrior was made to be like Unreal or Quake using modern tech. It was about as stealthy as a game can be without stealth mechanics and the need to kill every last enemy in a massive horde of enemies every step of the way before being able to access the next area. Oh. I see what you did there.
  23. Good luck to him. I look forward to seeing what project and studio managed to lure him away.
