Did they lose thousands of people? Didn't they relocate all civilians to Galactica before jumping?

Rogue Trooper is a scinece fiction comic from 2000AD. It's about a genetically enhanced soldier and when his mates die their mind is downloaded to a microchip that is then inserted in various equipment. So he's accompanied by his trusty friends Gun, Helmet and Backpack. They made a shooter of it recently, but I don't know if it's any good. The comic was pretty cool though. As for your spoiler, you're going to have to wait a bit longer.

You mean like Rogue Trooper?

I suppose it all has to do with one's previous relation to the Kat character. I always liked her and Starbuck which would make the impact stronger. If one never cared for either I can see how this episode would have been a wash. I was going to write a long rant about the female characters as well, but it didn't come off very good. So short version, I think your friend is wrong and that BSG has excellent female characters with one or two exceptions.

I don't know about a cRPG. How ever, a squad based tactical along the lines of Silent Storm or Fallout Tactics (or JA2) would be perfect for the setting.
-
Nope. And it's not the way the system works. Low appearance for all intents and purposes is the same as having low strength.
-
White Wolf used to do it in the old WoD and iirc still do in Exalted. New WoD rules no longer have appearance as a trait, although there is a merit called Striking Looks, so physical appearance is not included in any of the traits. There are other systems that do as well, but that's the one I know best.

I haven't posted in this thread much, but I'm still in love with this show. The boxing ep may have been a bit off (I thought it was pretty bad at the beginning, but the second half was great imo), but last night's episode was... it was bloody fantastic. All the way through. Definitely one of the strongest episode to date. The end sequence had me in tears (misty eyed, not actually crying) and affected me physically. It actually had my body shaking a bit from the intensity of it all. No other show does this to me. No one (Veronica Mars at it's best comes close though). Louanne "Kat" Katraine - CAG

And while thos framerates would have been acceptable on my PC, this is a demo for an Xbox 360 we're talking about. There is just no way that framerate issues can be acceptable on a console imo. Devs keep saying that it's much easier to work with consoles because they don't have to adjust for different hardware. They know exactly what the players will have. So if it stutters, that's some bad game-designing right there. Of course, there is a good chance it'll be taken care when the game is actually released.

I thought the ritual powers were very useful. The second part of the fight would have been much harder without them. However, what they were not, was needed. I'm sure the KoS could have been beaten without using them even once. The King of Shadows was being fed power through the portal. As long as it was open, he kept renewing his powers and thus couldn't be defeated. With the portal down, the source of his powers was gone. The silver sword, I'm guessing, had to be used due to it's ability to sever the silver threads that links a person to their homeplane. All silver swords have that ability, but given how powerful the KoS was, it makes sense that the most powerful of the silver swords was the only one that was up to snuff. Heh, after reading that I have absolutely no qualms about giving him the archery path via console. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're welcome. I ran across the same comment, which is why I felt ok with using the console as well. Hopefully it's fixed now so that I won't have to do it again.

There is http://www.stargateworlds.com/ for anyone that is interested. I personally think it's a great setting for a MMORPG and if I were into that genre I'd probably be checking it out. But alas, I'm not. It's a bit funny that they announce SGW and then cancel SG-1 (although it was Sci Fi who cancelled the show, not MGM who owns the franchise)

Find a way. Sell a kidney if you have to. It's definitely worth it, it's really that good. I wonder if a BSG MMORPG (although I can't for the life of me see how it'd work) will show up soon. Or a Babylon 5, now that they're going to make direct-to-dvd movies out of it.

Except the boards were never located at Troika's webpage. Atari still exists as far as I know.

I haven't played far enough with the patch to see if Bishop is working properly now, but that would be my guess. But otherwise there is a fairly simple solution - the console. Just use it to remove the dual wield feats and give him the archery ones and that's that. The feats to be removed are: 1729 1734 1735 1736 and the ones to add: 1730 1731 1732 1733 I'm not sure at what level he is supposed to gain the last one though, but it says in the ranger description.

Well... As fantastic as Firefly was (and it was), it doesn't even begin to measure up against (the new) Battlestar Galactica. (although I suppose since BSG came out after Firefly, what you're sating is technically true, it's just that even better has appeard since ) But even so, Firefly and Serenity (the movie sequel) are well worth watching. Great setting, great acting, interesting story and well developed and believable characters. Given that interplanetary travel never struck me as a speedy affair in Firefly though I wonder how they're going to deal with that. Seems like making MMORPGs out of Sci Fi TV shows is all the rage these days, with Stargate Worlds also in developments. Wonder when Star Trek will show up.

So what you're saying is that fans should stay as far away from anything Firefly as possible? Stop buying DVDs etc, until Fox sells the license? Good thing I'm not a MMORPG fan then, I'm not sure I could have stayed away otherwise.

Essences and gems should not only weigh less, they should be completely weightless. It was a bit stupid when my main character ran around with 150-200 metal ingots without breaking a sweat and Qara got overloaded from essences alone (and her standard gear of course)

The easy fix to this (which I agree is a huge annoyance) is simply to make every NPC a member of your party when in the Flagon. Clearly such large parties are possible. So that shouldn't be too hard to implement. It's trickier at the Keep though, given that the NPCs are spread out on the grounds, but it's also somewhat less of an issue there given that you can switch NPCs back and forth by exiting to the world map and then pressing cancel. Still annoying, but not as bad as in the Flagon.

I think she was a Nagaraja. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagaraja_%28W..._of_Darkness%29 Seems to fit the bill. I know I've read about one type of flesh-eating vampires in one of the books, I just don't recognize the name Nagaraja all that well. But it's been a while so it could just be my memory, or there is another type of flesh eaters. But as I said, Nagaraja seems to fit the bill.

There is another thing that could work. I have no idea whether or not it will, but it's worth a try if the alternative is uninstall (and since there is a big chance this will mess up the install only try it if the only alternative is uninstall/reinstall). First, get the beta to 1.02 tool. Second edit NWNs registry to say that you have the 1.03beta instead of 1.03. Then run the rollback tool. I know that the patches checks to see that files that are updated actually matches, but maybe the rollback tool doesn't (or maybe the edited files are similar enough). Probably doesn't work, but it could and it is fairly quick to try. The key that needs to be edited is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Obsidian/NWN2/Neverwinter/Version I don't know what version to change it to though. It could be 1.03Beta (or all capitalized) but I can't check since I have 1.03 installed as well.

Oh, I'm not saying that money doesn't feel like it's running out from time to time. I just feel that when I'm buying stuff worth 50k+ on a regular basis spending 800 or 2000 on anything is hardly noteworth. It probably won't impact my ability to get the higher end stuff in the least since I'll be needing to clear out a dungeon or two anyway. (not buying so much from Deekin though, most of his stuff is pretty mediocre even if you have a PrC, and this is compared to other items found in the game not crafted. there are other merchants with better goods however) I guess some of comes from the "hold-on-for-future-use" philosophy. Even on my first playthrough I rarely did that. If it wasn't usable right away, I usually sold it, since I knew I would most likely find better gear of the same type later in the game anyway. And as long as I kept getting new npcs, I always did.
-
Seriously, what do you do with your money? When I hit Neverwinter I typically have something like 30000 GP at least. Spending 2000-3000 on a bag wouldn't even make a dent.
-
That one doesn't work in 1.03 (non-beta) though.

Pricerunner.com is a good alternative for some europeans (and americans as well). But in this specific case, it has comparisons for Danish stores.
