I'm under the same impression, that it sold fairly well at first, but then it just stopped, and thus in total falling short of DA:O sales numbers by a lot. Edit: For reference, VGChartz lists DA:O at roughly 4 million total across all platforms, with DA 2 at roughly 1.85 million. Make of those numbers what you will.

Where did you get these numbers? I've only heard that it sold a bout a million fewer copies.

According to their twitter it's not a FB game. Could very well be a browser game though.

The flashpoints are a lot of fun. Operations even more so, but probably harder to get into. I have a guild of friends, so we have organized raids once or twice each week and we do hardmode flashpoints basically every night (due to the daily quest). I recommend you do the Ilum main quest before you do the Battle for Ilum and False Emperor flashpoints. They will make more sense that way (I didn't and was a bit confused at what was happening).

They're getting my money. Mine to.

For my computer I have a pair of Logitech G35. They are awesome. The look kinda big and they feel heavy when lifting them up, but they aren't when on. Great sound and great features (although I find it kinda odd to have a red light shining as an indicator that the mic is off, for me shining light means on. But that is just a nitpick).

Yeah, the PortaPros are crazy good value. Just bought a pair of iPortaPro to go with my phone, and it feels awesome.

I've found that it doesn't always work... it works on the first quest in the chain, but 2nd or third? you're boned. True, I still have quest or two I'd rather get rid of. Smuggler's Moon and Tattooine Bonus Series being the ones I can think of. But I think all Heroics can be abanadoned without problem, regardless of what stage they're in. That has been my experience anyway.

There's this button, "abandon quest", it does the trick as well.

Yeah, but that was within the game. ME was marketed as a series where eactions in the first part will have ramifications in the last part. The Ashley thing is more what I'm thinking of, but I'd like to see some things affecting the main story as well. The Rachni queen comes to mind.

Question, the new flashpoint, is it only level 50? Or is it like the others and have a normal level and hm for 50? Because that seems to be a pretty good solution to me, more content available for both levelling and end game. It's not going to be available for soloplaying levellers, so there might be a need for that of course.

I still think there should be some concequences towards the ending. Not win or lose, but rather what kinda of collateral damage you suffer. Some previous choices would lead to a solarsystem or two being wiped out (maybe a major race suffereing some real losses, bringing them to the brink of extinction, stuff like that). But you should absolutely be able to beat the reapers. Also, more important are the personal stories. There choices in previous games should matter in a big way, I think.

That is sort of the selling point of the game, isn't it? Compared to other MMO's at least. You get to play a single player story surrounded by MMO mechanics. But you certainly can solo the game and it won't be that much worse compared to a true single player game. You actively get to take part in starting the war, which is kinda cool. Don't think I would have liked it much had the story focus been lesser.

Looks like it's from before the first 30 days ran out.

Yeah, you can buy a lot of green versions as you go along. But if you want the better ones (blues and purples) then it's done through RE. Some schematics are sold as blue or purple from the start, but those are the exception (and I believe those can't be reversed, but I'm not sure)
-
Slicing has already been nerfed. That was the first patch. You still make money off of it (mostly from finding lockboxes in the game world), but not the absurd that you used to. I do cybertech and I make a decent profit selling purples, especially spaceship upgrades. But I also spend ALOT on sending my crew out on crew skill missions, since I want to keep our gear upgraded. I'm currently doing the lvl 49 mods, but haven't gotten far enough in the game that I can find the green materials (scavenging) in the game world, so with all the reverse engineering (remember, I am getting mods for me, my wife and my companion) I use up a lot of resources. I think it's fun though, so I don't mind so much. Plus having built your own speeder is a point of pride.

Flashpoints and daily quests. Or selling stuff on GTN.

Top left button on the editor. Toggle editing mode. You probably have to click it everytime you post, but it's there.

Crafting is a bit of a mess right now. When it comes to end game content, crafting just doesn't match up with what you can get with commendations, apart from a few very specialized pieces. And biochem. Cybertech was great for levelling though, and I do make some money by selling starship upgrades on the GTN. But if you're not satisfied with your crew skills, you can probably level a new one up to max in a matter of a couple of days, if you have the money.

We're playing 2-5 hours a day typically, perhaps more on the weekends. We're level 46-47. Don't feel like we're rushing, but we certainly are playing a lot. Most of our guildies (who are more experienced in these games) are starting to hit 50, som did after two or three weeks I think. Hitting 50 now is fairly normal if you're devoted to one character, it is fast to level in the game. More so than other mmos, if I've been informed correctly. I think the leveling pace in this game is a way too fast. I already go out of my way not to log out in a cantina or my ship and even my wife who has never played an MMO before is worried that we will run out of stuff to do in the near future. I do the same on my main. We've been overleveleled on each world we come to and it's just recently (Belsavis, Voss) that we haven't been able to play Heroic 4 just the two of us. This is of course the reason we're overleveld, and we know that. But that's ok, we're both fairly noobish to MMOs, so the challenge level is about right. Well, I like the heroics more than my wife, because I enjoy the added challenge, but I wouldn't want that difficulty level all the time. I wouldn't mind if it was slower to level, but I think I would mind if playing through the story took longer. It's a balance for sure. In the end, it mostly depends on how fun the game is at 50. If it's amazing there, then I guess how long it takes to get there doesn't really matter.

Perhaps not piracy, but illegal in many places. Many countries (and I belive the US for instance, Sweden for sure) has laws that prohibit circumvention of DRM. So if the DVDs are protected in some way (which I believe all DVDs are, could be wrong about that though), copying them is illegal.

What are the changes on Ilum? I haven't gotten that far yet, so I don't know how it used to be either...

So because I'm not a huge fan of internet multiplayer, not only will I pay for large component I won't use, my single player experience will be lesser as well (not getting those extra areas that you can unlock). That just irks me. I most likely will be getting ME3 regardless, just to see the story finished, but this type of thinking certainly isn't for me.
