  1. We are sending Darren home for the day so he can be completely uninterrupted in case we have any server issues. We are spinning up larger servers for everything, though. Hopefully it will handle the load.
  2. Hello Backer Beta friends. The Beta will be going live at 3:00 PM PDT. I apologize for the minor slip on the time, but this should be the only one.
  3. You will need to sign in to your backer portal account. If you head to https://eternity.obsidian.net/account and click on the "Products" tab, you will see all of the products you are eligible for. If you are eligible for the backer beta you will see a backer beta entry (Note: You won't see this until we push everything live. Don't freak out if it isn't currently there). If you click on that entry, you will see a button to generate a Steam key for the beta. Clicking on the button will generate a key for you and give you instructions in how to access the beta on Steam.
  4. Just so everyone is aware, I am going to make the backer beta subforum live in a couple of minutes. If you guys want to take this discussion to that subforum, you are more than welcome.
  5. Funnily enough they're using Steam so it would've actually been possible to do that. Send the keys out over a couple of days and have Steam release the beta staggered over the individual time-zones at a given local time. Not that I'd expect that kind of effort for a simple beta, just saying it's not unreasonable to hope for something like that. This was not possible due to some technical reasons. We worked with Steam so that we could make the Beta live while it wouldn't show up in stores. Because of this, the beta has been technically live for a couple of weeks and anybody with a key could have accessed the build that was up there (which wasn't the final build). With the way we are releasing keys, they will be live to all backers at once.
  6. Hey, everyone. The beta is all ready to go. We are just checking the last few things before we push everything live. We are thinking that it should be ready by around 2:00 PM PDT. If it looks like it will go past that time, I will update everyone in this thread. Thanks for your patience. We just want to make sure everyone has a great Backer Beta experience.

  8. This is a bug that crept in before the Gamescom build. We didn't have time to fix it. For some reason characters are not autoattacking and if a player is given an ability/spell command they are "forgetting" to autoattack afterwards. It will be fixed shortly, but I am not sure if it will be in for the first iteration of the Backer Beta. may have to wait a couple of weeks depending on how complicated the fix is.

  10. You check the forums BEFORE you go to work? Jesus, dude, you're in line for a ****ing pay rise. Not much time to check the forums at work so before or after works best for me.
  11. We are still allowing people to add in things like credits or memorial stones. After the 22nd, though, it will all be locked down so we can finalize the game.
  12. I would have to ask Darren, but it was probably so people could see a history of their orders in case they had a question about it.
  13. Conversations do, but, to be completely honest, I can't remember if barks show up in the log. I will check once I get to work this morning.
  14. Also, one thing to keep in mind about difficulty is that higher difficulties don't just scale up damage and health on enemies - it changes which enemies spawn. For example, those same fights on a harder difficulty have adra beetles and more patrols. I remember playing on medium difficulty and pulling two groups at once because I wasn't careful with character placement.
  15. Yeah, he seemed to be focusing on the rock beetles, in those battles. He also seemed to forget some of the characters, at times. Was it the rogue that was left idling most of the time? The rock beetles are burly, but that wood beetle poison will kill a character pretty quickly. If a few of your party members get poisoned it can be tough to recover. We may end up toning it down depending on feedback from the beta.
  16. The ogre is pretty beefy. I usually have to try to outrange him. Too many people in range will cause a tpw pretty quickly.
  17. Hey, hey, hey... that was Adam. Not me. Don't pin that performance on me! I didn't watch the stream, but if Adam didn't immediately try to kill the wood beetles he was in for a beatdown. Their poison is pretty damaging, so you usually want to go after them first.

  20. We will have all of our other supported languages, but some of the localization is incomplete. You can switch your language in game through the options menu.
  21. Yeah, it lists all my backings with a green "✔OK" next to it. My email address is also the same that I used with the kickstarter so I'm not sure what the problem is, I better just send support a message. The green OK means that you still need to go through the pledge management process. Just select the "Select Reward" button to get started.
  22. Yup. If you purchase a beta key add-on you can send it to your friend.
  23. Hey, Kal'Daran. I just took a look at your account and it seems like you never went through the process of managing your pledge. Go to https://eternity.obsidian.net/backer/index and you should be able to complete your order. Once you have done this, you should see your WL2 key if you follow the instructions above.
