  1. Who thinks the devs added Atton's comments just so people would stop thinking he's gay? Really would anyone risk pissing off the only person who could let you out of your cage? Especially if you havn't been fed for a while. If you look at the new videos as well he sounds alright too. I guess we were all wrong after all. :">
  2. There have been numerous threads speculating that the 'secret' Ajunta Pall talked of in KOTOR is the new threat in TSL. This would explian why Revan went to Korriban, either to use it or destroy it as light or darkside. Replaying KOTOR I have found new evidence to support this theory. In Ajunta's tomb you have to fight your way past those 4 droids that activate when you blow up the rock thing blocking your way. Notice that those droids are the same make as those that the starforge produces. Since it is unlikely the droids made their way there by accident it is likely that Revan put the droids there to prevent anyone else from talking to Ajunta and learning the secret. We know that Revan reprogramed the computer on Khayysk so that only s/he could access it again. So it seems likely that although s/he didn't have time to look for thios 'secret' (being busy taking over the galaxy and all), s/he placed some starforge droids there to make sure noone else found it out. Now you may think 'if Revan didn't want anyone going in there why didn't s/he just order it sealed off like he did Naga Sadows tomb'. Well if you seal off one tomb everyone would assume that THAT one held the most powerfull items, they wouldn't care about a tomb that was 'open to the public'. And note the droids were only programed to activate when someone was in danger of getting into the inner part of the tomb. This shows Revan didn't want to kill all his sith students who looked into the tomb. So any thoughts? Of course what could of happened is that the devs were too lazy to design a new 'ancient' droid and just used the starforge ones and hoped no gamer would care.
  3. There are no pics , just reports from some magazine or games website. It was posted in some thread here.
  4. LoL, that was me, and a dev of all people (w00t) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah I remember. I can't believe what the dev was comming out with. <_< This thread is good so far. So if the devs can control themselves we should be okay. The mods seem to give this thread their blessings (ie they havn't deleted it yet).
  5. CONSOLE WARS EPISODE 6 RETURN OF THE PC In his most villianous act yet the sith lord Darth Gates has broken into Obsidian Entertainment studios. He has accessed the files containing the PC version of 'The Sith Lords'. His finger now rests on the 'delete' key. Desperatly the PC'ers attempt to fend him off and restore freedom to the gaming industry........ Darth Gates: "Come boys see for yourselves. From here you will witness the destruction of the PC version and the end of your insignificant PC market." *Holds out a copy of the x-box version* "You want this don't you? The hate is swelling in you now. Take your money. Use it. Buy an x-box. Give in to your anger. With each pasing moment you make yourselves more my servents." PC users: "I'll never buy an x-box!" Darth Gates: "It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like George Lucas, are now mine. Now take your place on my profit margin." PC user: "Never. I'll never buy an x-box. You've failed your highness. I am a PC'er, like my fathers before me." Darth Gates: "So be it. PC'er. If you cannot be profitable, you will be destroyed." *Blasts PC'er with force lightning.* "Your feeble PC skills are no match for the power of the x-box! You will pay the price for your lack of custom! And now PC'er you will buy."
  6. Well, it would be kinda hard to change clips for a blaster rifle, you know since there's no ammo in the guns. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They use power packs to charge the guns. In the vids for 'Republic commando' you see the character reloading. Although it would ruin the pace of the films if the stormtroopers chasing Solo had to stop and reload.
  7. Don't know. You never see characters cleaning them. They must need fresh power packs after repeated use though. Although in starwars you never saw any stormtroopers or rebel soldiers changing ammo clips did you. Must have extra long-life energizer batteries. Imagine how long the bunny could go if powered like that.
  8. And what about apprentices? That would bring the number of 'sith bosses' to 6. Better get training with that lightsaber.
  9. Damn. Oh well I'l' try him out with blasters and if he's no good he can stay on the Hawk.
  10. hmm Vrook did have a lot of anger in him. Maybe he is a sith, thats why he didn't want the council to trust Revan to be trained (again), he didn't want a potential rival sith lord to deal with. Wait a minute... How did Malaks fleet get past the dantooene defences? On telos Saul gave Malak the access codes, so what if Vrook gave Malak the dantooene codes? And if we do meet Vrook it would be a coincidence if he 'just happened' to leave the academy just before all the bombs fell. I think we may be onto something here. (w00t)
  11. Yeah it will add to replyability so it will be fun. But it will also limit the xp we can gain if we can only hack logs or repair things. That will make it harder to reach beyond level 20. But if Bao-dur is a good fighter his tech specialist class will make him a usefull companion to do minor skill work. Some skill checks are pc only though.
  12. Thats a good point. Kreia: "You must have devotion to the lightside." Exile: [persuade/lie] "Don't worry. I will not fall." Kreia: [awareness] "You lie." That would be interesting.
  13. Okay now in KOTOR too many skills were useless- awareness being the most pointless of all, there being no stealthed enemies for you to see. But now it seems every skill has a great use Awareness- used in conversations Repair- to build upgrades Treat injury- to determine your characters regeneration rate. Security- to hack into terminals and access new side-quests. Persuade- to keep party-members alligned with you. Demoltions- have been said to add damage to grenades and mines. computer use- to access more information for xp stealth- you can see conversations/cutscenes you wouldn't normally Now if all these skills are important how can we possibly get high ratings on any of them if we need them all? In KOTOR you could ignore security (just bash doors), awareness (useless anyway) and demolitions (you can heal yourself after setting off a mine easily). It seems TSL will have too many skills we actually want, so we will end up splitting skill points between all 8, and then not being high enough in any of them to actually make full use of them. I only hope we get a LOT of skill points. More than 8 per level or we'll never get anywhere with the skills. Looks like Sentinel will become more valuable. What do you think?
  14. Got a good one now. An Ewok goes into a bar. He asks the barman "Can I can have a gin...........................................and tonic please." The barman asks "Why the pause?" The Ewok looks down his arms and replies "I dunno. I was born with them."
  15. What do you get when you cross a Hutt with a fast-food chain? A Pizza Hutt! O man thats poor. If Starwars was remade as a gangsta film.......... Vader:Who's your Daddy? Who's your daddy? C'mon who's ya daddy? Luke: You killed him. Vader: I'm your daddy!!!!
  16. There are 5,861 registered members, there must be at least 1 other Chinese player around. Somewhere.
  17. The third sith lord is described as 'a woman wearing a crimson cloak with a black shrawl covering her nose and mouth'.........just sounds like Vissis in reverse, she has a shrawl covering her eyes. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
  18. Since Lucasarts is not planning on releasing new info anytime soon, does anyone have any starwars jokes to pass the time? Keep them clean though. The last joke thread got deleted as it just turned into Michael Jackson bashing. Here's one thats kinda funny, though its not really a joke. Don't you think the ending of ROTJ was a bit unfair to the characters? All those rebels are trying to have a good time partying with Ewoks when these 3 glowing ghosts turn up unannounced, gatecrashing all the fun and start attracting all the flies with their glowing! And the ghosts just feel like thier being used as slaves rather than guests. "Yo Obi, could ya stand over here so I can see this bottle I'm trying to open." Okay thats not too good, see if you can do better. Go on.
  19. I didn't know Gamorreans' were THAT desperate. If all Cathar are like Juhani that Gamorrean must have been soooo drunk that night.
  20. Even with the starforge destroyed Korriban was still standing so more sith could be recruited, whereas the jedi academy on Dantoeene was nuked, so no more Jedi padawans. Although if the sith won the war anyway it kinda makes saving the republic in KOTOR pointless.
  21. I know the devil has a gotee but didn't Jesus both have a full beard as well? That messes up the evil/beards rule.
  22. How did such a big thing get inside anyway? Same with the Rancor, exactly how did it get in the sewers in the first place? Let that be a lesson to you kids NEVER flush your pet Rancor down the drain.
  23. Of course facial hair is a neccesity for villians. How else could they twirl their moustaces and gloat as they plot evil deeds? Note the smilies here: no beard beard Evil needs hair.
  24. Does anyone know if there will be a demo for Bloodlines? There was a Bloodrayne one, though my graphics card won't run it.
  25. Yeah being chocked does make people more passive- that imperial commander in 'a new hope', the guy in the bar on tatooene in KOTOR was great. "The man will not look you in the eye".
