A spambot AI would be cool! All we need to do is direct its attacks on Bill Gates and that Chick guy who draws those lame Anti-DnD comics.
  2. I like the Silent Storm engine overall. It does sound promising, but I have to agree with Morgoth.
  3. I can go for that. That would definitely kick some major ass.
  4. But looking behind you is A-OK! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. In First person mode I get only 1 narrow view of just what is in front of me. With Third I can get peripheral vision so I can get a wider vision range. I can take the hit about being able to see what is behind me because the overall view is more immersive.
  5. Maybe they wanted to make sure they got all the Black Isle peeps they could get first or maybe the Troika peeps didn't apply.
  6. Its a sports car. It only has the two seats.
  7. Never played Gothic 3 so I can't say I hate it or not.
  8. Yet, first person does not allow for peripheral vision which is my major hang up with it. I can see things at the corners of my eyes so I can see what is going on beside me but in FPV on the game I can only see what is going on right in front of me. Because of that it breaks the immersion for me.

  10. Then DiCE is dead. Every company that EA buys out EA kills. Bullfrog, Westwood, Origin... Just to name a few.
  11. The first person and third person issues, Diamond.
  12. I am only happy when it rains, but that is beside the point. The case is not closed until the issues are resolved.
  13. That is why it should happen rarely.
  14. That is one of the reasons why I don't support EA. I refuse to buy their games.
  15. I just do not see how first person can be seen as more immersive or better than third person.
  16. Why? Getting the adrenaline pumping, the dendrites burning, heighten emotion and fanfare, sounds almost euphoric. Going through crunch time once and a while is a good thing I would think. Keeps one on his or her toes. However, constantly being in crunch time mode for months and months at a time definitely sounds like something no one should experience. Being an overnight clerk at a convenience store in a section of town that is only busy during the day is very boring and lethargic. I would welcome a little excitement like I got last year.
  17. So, they should just stick with third person then. Got it.
  18. Bethesda did a fine job of it in Morrowind and Oblivion. Never had an issue with the camera views in that game. Other issues yes, but not the camera.
  19. I never actually went through the whole crunch time experience. Not at the university nor at my current job. It is something I wouldn't mind experiencing at least once.
  20. All I am trying to do here is have a decent conversation on the topic at hand. Except for one or two posts everyone else is being condescending, insulting, and sarcastic. Sheesh.
  21. I found some portions of the game hard and other portions easy. Depends on what is going on and how much ammo I had. One thing I do like about the game is that after my roommate was playing the game 12 hours straight I set up a floor lamp in the dark hallway for him to bump into. He has poor night vision and well, he screamed. :D
  22. The Gamecube remake suffers the same problem the original had. Too damn short.
