As one who has upgraded to Vista on a poor overworked Sempron the best bet is to do a complete and full install. Just keep in mind of the software and drivers you used and save them on a different hard drive or partition when you do the upgrade that way you can immediately plug them in when finished.

Of the web browsers out there I only suggest two. Firefox and the Internet Explorer 7.0. If you hate using Microshaft then the best bet is Firefox. Jammed pack with features, reliable, and fast. Best web browser I have come across.
