  1. Don't know. If going by the name alone as one increase mass the greater the pull of gravity it has as well greater momentum. If one has the technology to manipulate the effects of gravity based on the object's mass then I can see the effects working the way it does. Remember Clark's Law. If it is some supernatural or paranatural ability of the character then yes, its their version of magic.
  2. I always found Elanee a tad creepy.
  3. Star Wars is not science fiction. Its fantasy. The Force = Magic.
  4. You are probably right in this assessment but, then again maybe not. In any case we cannot and should not force democracy and our civilization on another people who do not want it. Freedom and democracy must be earned and wanted if it is to have any chance of success.
  5. I don't like either one of them.
  6. Just what is wrong with Evanescence anyway? Its not like they are Justin Timberlake or Three Doors Down, both being crap.
  7. Well, I am more of a cat person and lean towards socialism... Paris Hilton is just going to far!
  8. I think the cleanest way for us to leave is let the Iraqi government decide. If they want us to leave then we should bug out and leave. We can move our forces into Afganistan, use part of them to bolster the forces already there and cement our control and have staging areas which we can use to attack Al Qaeda on their own turf. Give the Iraqi government favored trade status so that we can still trade goods favorably for the Iraqis sop that they can still have money coming in. If the Iraqi government and people want us to stay then we should but relegate our people as support and not the main fighters.
  9. I have always liked Evanescence, though I prefer Origa and Cruxshadows over them. I would place Evanescence in my top 25 bands I listen to but they aren't in my top ten.
  10. Does not change the fact that we need to leave Iraq. It is a money pit and there won't be any peace in that country till the Iraqis want it. Each death of an American in that country, civilian or soldier, is a waste.
  11. All you need is one death to create a tragedy.
  12. What the hell are you babbling about?
  13. In any case, we invaded on false pretenses and we should leave because of that.
  14. No money, no insurance, no medical care. May that be in the ER or people in need of long term care, Taks. That is how the US is in my experience.
  15. That doesn't make any sort of sense.
  16. That does not make invading Iraq any more right, Guard Dog.
  17. Of course those who cannot pay to satiate corporate greed can just die: Woman Dies in California ER Edith Isabel Rodriguez died in the Martin Luther King Jr. Harbor Hospital ER, while staff, 911 dispatchers and police refused to act, despite repeated calls. 911 dispatchers argued with callers and refused to call paramedics, claiming no emergency. Police summoned by relatives and bystanders to help her instead arrested her on a parole violation. She died as they were wheeling her from the ER. Rodriguez was bleeding from the mouth and writhing in pain on the ER floor as staff looked on and did nothing to help her. Callers described her situation to dispatchers who refused help. County and state authorities are now investigating her death. Source: http://www.shortnews.com/start.cfm?id=63016

    FINALLY!

I would like to have a 24" widescreen monitor.
  19. What can I say? I am a socialist is some ways, especially when it comes to essential necessities one needs to live comfortably in a modern society: Medicine, Shelter, Utilities, Food. There are many things that I like to see the government just get rid of and pair down the bureaucracy, such as eliminating the I.R.S.. I would love to see that aspect of our government removed completely. In its place we have a simple federal level sales tax on all nonessential goods.
  20. That is one thing I do agree with you. We should have invaded Afganistan, wipe out its government, then went after the Al Qaeda terrorist cells with well executed strikes and assassinations of key individuals. I do think that some of the actions done by the CIA, such as the secret prisons and torture is wrong, but strengthening its intelligence gathering without resorting to such crude methods is definitely needed. Iraq and Saddam was contained and no threat to the US nor was the nation a threat to its neighbors. The Iraqi war is a waste of resources and lives.
  21. That is a very good song! I just have to agree with Volourn. You guys suck.
  22. Yet Al Qaeda is at its strongest since 9/11 which means Bushie and his crew is not getting the job done at all in all this Iraq business.
  23. The motivation of a company or industry is to make money, greed comes first before helping people. That is true with your mobile communications company, as it is for any company. They would do whatever it takes to make profit, no mater who it harms and those without money, without funds to pay for the basic services of food, shelter, and medicine are screwed. The purpose of government is to serve the needs of those who are governed and protect those citizens from ravages of greed and corruption that private industry fosters. Not so much for telecommunications, but the medical and insurance industries are notorious of screwing people over. Without government intervening on our behalf the common person on the street would live in misery while the rich will live in luxury moreso than they do now.
  24. Yes, the status quo may be maintained but there won't be any actual progress. While other nations move on to bigger and greater things our country will be wallowing in ineffective debate that achieves nothing.
  25. Yep, and thusly attacked the president's claim on Iraq having WMDs which was the whole justification of our invasion, making that country even more vulnerable to terrorist attacks than it was before.
