lol Yes but such games have been designed to take advantage of 7 year old hardware. You can jack up the aa and af on any console port, it may look clearer, but it's not going to make the game any larger or graphics tons more realistic. You can apply resolution and aa tweaks to any old looking game, it will still be an old looking game. I'll make an exception for Skyrim, and the few other games that offer improved texture packs, however they are not common, and ENB post process injectors are not optimized that well and cause more lag than if such effects were coded in by the developers themselves, which of course they would not do since they focus on consoles more You don't have a clue what I am talking about. I am not saying pc hardware is equal to console hardware. I am saying that developers find console hardware more lucrative due to its market share and just code their games to take advantage of such old hardware. Most Devs will always code their games for consoles first these days, it's just more profitable for them. But now that PS4 has specs similar to moderns PCs (including an Octa-core processor and 8 gigs of RAM), devs will be coding their future console games to take advantage of such hardware specs, and thus consoles and PCs get upgraded games. Yes it is a standard in this age. And I am not praising nor lamenting that, I am just accepting the facts. I find it funny that you think I am a console zealot. I never made any statements saying that consoles are better than PCs. Yes I do own both a 360 and PS3, but I also own a PC that's 24x faster than both of them, and I use that a lot more.
  5. It's very rare that the CPU bottlenecks anything graphics related these days, so I wouldn't worry about that. You are actually CPU limited with the lower resolution because your vidcard is under-working. Going to a higher res will reduce your cpu bottleneck and make your videocard bottleneck you instead (how it should be)
  6. It has 6 gigs of vram also
  7. Fastest card ever 2013 and 30-50% faster than the 680 http://www.nvidia.com/titan-graphics-card
  8. With 1080p you are under-utilizing your card.
  9. Just finished Crysis 3, what a ridiculous mindless explosive ending. My head hurts lol
  10. There was a beta test a month ago. It like the first game that requires dx11, if you have a card released in the last 3 years you should be good
  11. You can get 2560x1440 monitors for cheap on eBay here's one of them http://www.ebay.com/itm/130724901986
  12. I do kinda agree with Morgoth on the Crysis 3 levels, they make you think they are open ended with their size, but you are still on direct pathways. They don't even let you drive tanks, or multiple vehicles, just this little go kart in one level. Crysis 1 is still the best one. I'm gonna stick through and finish though as I am on the last level already
  13. PS4

  15. PS4

Killzone 4 was way too generic, Drive Club looked cool with the detailed cars, Infamous 3 was just a cut scene, and Jonathan Blows game was hmmmm lol
  16. PS4

    Live stream on ign now
  17. PS4

HAHAHAHAHAHAOh, you. *fey handswipe* Sorry but the truth is PC graphics are indeed being held back by current gen consoles. It is why Crysis 3 looks no better than Crysis 1 (which is a 6 year old game now) because they wanted to make sure they can port it to 360 and PS3 easily. When devs forget about PS3 and 360 and start focusing on PS4 and 720, the standard goes up for PC as well, and we will leave this 7 year limbo that saw no substantial visual improvements in games since 2006
  18. PS4

PS4 is set to be unveiled very very soon, I hope it has support for 4k TVs and dishes out some next-gen massive damage. Even if you don't play consoles, the graphics on its games are also going to be a new standard for PCs as well
  19. Ok testing out Crysis 3 screenshots on abload.de, jpg quality got a bit degraded somewhat, but I'm not complaining
  20. I had my PSU kill 2 mobos awhile back, make sure to use that new psu with a new mobo to avoid future problems
  21. Anyone know a reliable image host for large images? or should i just give up lol
  22. So what's your opinion of it? I thought it was pretty good, but the beta was too restrictive with the 1 hour time limit and lack of buildings
