  1. Cheers mate! US patch did the trick.
  2. Hey Hassat. The disks have AU on them. Version is 2.00.424. Thanks for the reply.
  3. Well okay, but that was the issue I was having was with the manual patch.
  4. Hi all, hoping to get a bit of help with a problem I'm having here. I've installed Kotor 2 for the first time on this pc and then downloaded the UK official patch 1.0a and 1.0b from the lucas arts website (I'm running the AU version, but no patch listed for that). When I try to install the first patch it gets to 33% and then states "Old File Not Found, However a file of the same name was found. No update done as file contents do not match". I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Kotor 2, re downloading the patch, and restarting the computer. Nothing's worked so far. Also the update function when you run the game gives the following error: Pinging: swpatch.obsidianent.com Retrieving autopatcher version information Connecting... swpatch.obsidianent.com Can not find patch file: /swkotor2/sw_pc_autopatch.txt Retrieving game patch information Connecting... swpatch.obsidianent.com Can not find patch file: /swkotor2/sw_pc_english.txt Get the manual patch. http://support.lucasarts.com/patches/Kotor2.htm The patch has been aborted I'd appreciate any help.
  5. That's because a scratched disk and an incomplete copy equate to largely the same thing. Cyclic redundancy error is a pretty broad error.
  6. Is the disk scratched? Direct copy (from a computer or copying files manually off the disk and then installing) hardly ever works because of hidden files and directory issues.
  7. That's because Dooku practices Makashi, a light saber form that is greatly aided by a hilt that can be easily manipulated. Almost no one who appears in the movies other than Dooku practices this form. The reason behind the conventional hilt shape being almost universal throughout the universe is probably because it is necessary in maintaining form consistency. Besides, blade quality would be more important, and from other media you see jedi who change the characteristics of their blade such as length, volitility etc.
  8. It seems that the G35 isn't the ideal choice for gaming applications. Check out CNET's review: http://reviews.cnet.com/Toshiba_Qosmio_G35...7-31749236.html OTOH, the G30 (is the G30 the G35's predecessor?) seems to operate admirably in a gaming capacity.
  9. Touche'. If you still don't know Sidious' history by now, you shouldn't be discussing star wars.
  10. Puns. Nice. Good to see German humour is still up to its usual standard. Back on topic people. Any follow up's on the original announcement?
  11. He was referring to the ease at which you defeat Nihilus, not his stance or style. Right?
  12. Arrgh Can someone please clean this up? It's called the KOTOR 3 SUGGESTIONS FORUM, not cj's wild kotor ride. Crap. Sorry for yelling. Oh. and please delete this post as well, as it just adds to the junkiness.
  13. Looks like this needs to be moved to spoilers now
  14. Yes. That was what I was referring to.
  15. Repeatedly stated as a man, based on a man, visually confirmed as a man.
  16. Already been posted mate, numerous times.
  17. I don't really understand the whole: "This dude is Revan" concept. Can someone explain it to me? I mean Revan's story was relatively complete as far as I'm concerned, I don't get the whole cinspracy presuming that random 2 second characters are Revan. Han solo didn't just instantly have a life story to back up the purpose of his existence, why should we presume that some other briefly mentioned characters are Revan. Was there some crazy mystery illusion behind the life of Revan? I don't get it.. Yes I am intoxicated, very much so...... Does this mean I'm freakin crazy..... ok so maybe I am. STEWIE FOR GOVENOR!!!!!!
  18. Dunno if Lucian was disagreeing with Gecon and Lady crimson or with the fact that its a glitch, but yeah.. you lose your party members automatically but you can still reselect them for the saving the Ithorians thingy.
  19. I have been really surprised at the lack of interest and excitement in response to my post about the news article on k3 in this thread on nov 22. To me the news looked genuine.[ indications so far seem to suggest that it is] Prehaps people havnt read it yet for some reason I carn't get the link to work but you can refer to my post on the previous page of this thread or refer to Wild Storms post above. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Might just be my PC, but when I try it, that link's dead. Tech error or somesuch. I haven't really been reading the K3 threads lately, because of all the randoms posting 8 year old rumour threads. In future I shall expect that you have a skywriter fly over my house with information such as this. I will also want an all channels report saying "KOTOR 3 It's gonna happen, KOTOR 3 It's gonna happen" with subtitles in 12 languages, and whilst Bastila dances to the tune of "safety dance" in the background. Subtelty is always best when dealing with info such as this From the tone of the statement it seems that they haven't even started thinking about the game's development yet though, and that timeline doesn't look promising. If they haven't chosen a development team yet (and I doubt they would have) and they're estimating at least the usual average 18 month development time, and they're concentrating only on SW 2007 press and development until it's released (and a minor project) than we're looking at mid 2008 at least. P.S. Yes I know. Enter key.
  20. I think that'd invoke a mass histeria resulting in city wide power outages, looting, riots, fires, and a general anarchy that would eventually spread throughout the entirety of the earth. Then I'm pretty sure that the sky would then turn red, locusts would eat all of our crops and the Lucasarts building would transform itself into an electronic, phase shifting, light absorbing, blood spilling gate for the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. Now. Ask yourself this. Does George Lucas really want that on his conscience?
  21. Umm. Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't that kind of a dicatorship? Wasn't the detriment of that kind of rule one of the main themes of the SW movies?
