  1. I don't think the word "phone" needs an apostrophe. But yeah, that's true, they can't well enforce the rule all the time everywhere. But they'd have to go through some effort to secure copies without using the same identifying information or credit cards. Most of the time, a determined individual could probably get away with 2 consoles per store, so they could probably get 4 if they don't move from town to town or something, and that's assuming he's able to even reserve those (considering the demand, he might be able to procure a single console if he waits outside a store, but he can only do that once before they run out). He could pull some highway robbery on the 'net (see, proper usage ) but he wouldn't be selling them wholesale and making a fortune.
  2. yeah. Fauxhawks = pet peeve backwards thinking = an actual problem with the world at large. A pet peeve is just something you gain a sense of approbation from, but don't really feel the need to justify through reason. The rise of self-interested emos is a good example. Or not being able to spit out the window of a moving vehicle. Capital punishment... generally you're expected to have more than just sentiment as backup for your viewpoint.
  3. No no, she should be punk and not play NWN2. It's not like she moderates a forum pertaining or anything " No wait, she doesn't.
  4. Store policy limits consoles to one per customer, if I remember correctly. POINT DENIED.
  5. Please don't encourage people to use the word pwn or any of its derivatives. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll use whatever internets meme antiquities I damn well please. I'm not about to condemn Ladycrimson for having a kitten pic in her sig. O, look. Stop spreading your religious fanaticism in this neutral forum. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Amen to that.
  6. It's AVARIEL, and they are elven, not fey. (feys are not related to elves in FR) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pssst that was directed at people who consider such **** a flaw in the FR universe. Banshee are elven ghosts. Snow elves I'm not aware of, but there are elves (and dwarves) for just about every clime, excepting perhaps deserts, so I don't see why not.
  7. My pet peeve is people who don't distinguish between the ethical and practical considerations of an issue "may evolve"? So far as I've noticed, the habits of particular mods tend to be pretty uniform over time. I don't see how you wouldn't already cross the threshold from potential annoyance into annoyance as soon as those habits were made apparent.
  8. You've got to look at it from their perspective. The perspective of fey humanoids with big, feathery wings. It's ****in' D&D, what do you want.
  9. Because his plans are dark and deep and they account for all possibilities before they ever become apparent to anyone else So I guess he forwards his messages to all fledglings of promise. Easier to manipulate somebody if they think they're part of some unfathomable game.
  10. Aquatic elves are in there too. Not in the games, but in the setting.
  11. You're sent numerous "mysterious letters" (I found them kind of corny, myself) throughout the game. My impression was that they were from Cain, or one of his minions. *edit - O rly DR?
  12. OFF TOPIC I found the Sims to be kind of fun, I liked the career progressions and such (military ftw) but once socializing your character with NPCs becomes required, it becomes a pain the ass, especially given the fact that you can only barely manage to fulfill the PC's other needs given the time you have. Building and inhabiting the house was fun, though. As for myself, I register if I have to in order to play, on Steam games, for example, or if I need to in order to patch.
  13. You're all forgetting about star elves razzle dazzle!
  14. I never did find out what Cassie's big shame was. He kind of hinted at it, but the Shadow Priest at the orc cave said something about dark deeds and black hearts and such, and abruptly leaving NW didn't seem to be that big of a deal. Maybe I just wasn't influential enough, or maybe I didn't set off some trigger. I'm assuming the cut content / features aren't the kinds of things that would be included in patches? *btw - Took me about 40 hours or so to beat the game, but going through my second time I've found that I've neglected a few hours' worth of questage.
  15. Uh, you used the word "own" as in, to have possession of. The word you were looking for is "owe", as in indebted to. *edit - that is, unless you mean "own" in the internet sense, which in most cases is better represented by "pwn". I guess one can "pwn" his friend.
  16. If you were really his friend, you'd set him free.
  17. With his clan equipment (belts, boots and optional hammer) he holds **** down just as well as he would have had he stayed a fighter, but he has better saves and moves like lightning

    SNOW!!!!

Bah, no snow in Loveland / Ft. Collins. We'll probably get some by Christmas.
  19. I went in to my Best Buy and all they had were Limited Editions, so they sold me one for the price of the regular one, $50. I think I may have taken someone's reservation. Oh well, saved me some cash.
  20. I got into the Docks district quests, and all of a sudden my game isn't choppy anymore. It's running smooth as silk, doesn't even slow down during big spell effects and explosions. I can't seem to figure out what the trick was
  21. I haven't seen any magical bags of holding. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you been looking? They're there. You don't run across any in the dungeon crawls, to my knowledge. They're sold by merchants under the "miscellaneous" category.
  22. I alt-tab all the time, and I've never had problems. Even during big, rig-taxing battles. I wonder if mods could possibly adapt the game so that there would be no forced companions that might involve a little too much work, considering the NPCs are integral to much of the main plot. O, to be back in BG day, when you could completely blow off (or kill) a character you didn't like.
  23. Found some more screencaps, this time of my aasimar warlock Jesus. Some lovingly rendered breasts. Warlock rainbow fighting: Discussing the merits of Elanee: Where I am at the moment:
  24. I'm sure with a few months of work modders should be able to create more playable NPCs to add to the campaign so that you can not get pidgeonholed into having Khelgar or Neeshka for 9 hours of gameplay. Given some dedicated modders, NWN2 could be expanded to at least BG's CNPC pool, where there are always 2 characters that can perform the same function. I think Dark Raven could do that well. Now to just sit back and wonder if it'll happen
  25. No no, I figured it out. The epilogue narrator is the same guy who played Romero in Bloodlines :D
