One thing I hate about the argument of "you voted and you lost, get over it" is that these aren't matters to just let slide when you don't get your way. This isn't some football match where your team's lost, this is serious stuff that has an impact in your way of living and that of everyone in your country, so of course arguing against the popular vote is not only sensible, it is necessary. If everyone just accepted the way things were because they "lost", would we have much of a democracy at all nowadays? Of course, this runs parallel to my opinion of whether everything should be blamed on Brexit or whether Britain should form part of the EU once more (I don't feel like I know enough about the matter to give an informed opinion either way). I just see things like this being said after every election there is and think it's a rubbish argument to make. If they believe Brexit is to do with it and that it should not have gone the way it did, it is within their power to still protest it regardless of any popular vote. I wish people would stop comparing Trump to Brexit, only some supporters on both sides share some ideological views but the 2 events were done for different reasons and supported for different reasons I can see how the 2 events may seem similar but to explain why they not the same in a easy way Brexit was fundamentally about one of the worlds most historically significant countries and currently powerful countries wanting to make there own laws and be governed by there own parliament. They are entitled to want this and aspire politically to this. Of course the EU is a successful trade block so the UK has some economic exposure but it will persevere. This is a permanent decision and will impact generations in a positive way IMO The rise of Trump is more of a political upheaval and attack on the current US political establishments ...it appears many Americans are unhappy with where the country was and is going. But worse case Trump will be gone in 4 years and we go back to the normal and understandable US political systems.Trump is not going to fundamentally change or destroy parts of the USA I wasn't compariing Trump to Brexit, aside from the attitude I see following the results for both (and other elections too). I was just making a point I see about elections in general. You said " my opinion of whether everything should be blamed on Brexit "...what did you mean by that ? I am not criticizing you by the way as many people are saying Trump and Brexit are the same and we should discuss this Oh, it's just Pie in the video saying he's tired of seeing everything being linked backed to Brexit and so on. What I meant is that I have no opinion as to how Brexit is affecting the UK currently because I haven't been following the matter all that closely.

What is that and why does it not have a screen?

Shoegaze is a subgenre of alternative rock, and by fuzz I was mostly referring to the feedback cushion that is usually present in the style, often sounding like fuzz guitars/instruments (as in, the kind of distortion and so on). Just describing what I was hearing is all. :-P

*gasp* You did not like Kate Bush?! All tongue in cheekness aside, I think I misunderstood your earlier post: I thought vocals were an important part for you, more so than having a preference towards instrumental music. I just listed a couple of pretty vocal-led artists, so yeah, that was probably my bad. Still, all of them classics and deservedly so in my book. :D The IO Echo track is nice, I enjoy me some shoegazy fuzz every once in a while. Reminds me somewhat of the Raveonettes.

Suffice to say, you're a much more musically diverse (...and knowledgeable) person than I am. Spinning circles around me with all the different name drops and such...the only two out of those I've listened to are Skippy Puppy and Front 242...and I don't count myself as a fan of either (about the only thing I like from Front 242 being Headhunter...everything else I ever tried from them just didn't really work for me). I'm so annoyingly picky about vocals: don't really like either of the two songs you linked because of it...even though I really liked the instrumental of the Coil song. Ack. Almost had a sort of Near Eastern vibe going...really liked it for the first few minutes. Ah, misophonia... Ah, you see, for me the vocals in "Going Up" is most certainly one of the main reasons to why I love it so much. Edward Ka-Spel (Legendary Pink Dots' singer)'s style however can be an acquired taste, as I for one was not too big into his nasal and nihilistic delivery when I first listened to the band, but nowadays appreciate it as another part of the whole. In both cases there is a lot to get out from the instrumental side and arrangements and for the latter track it's certainly where my main focus is as well. I'm surprised you aren't familiar with some of the other artists I've mentioned, many being pretty huge popular acts. Mostly they are 80s synthpop and art pop, not specifically electronic, but if you like the genre they're definitely worth checking out!

Not even the likes of...? I of course enjoy different moods for everything, but there's a quality in mixing harsh industrial/electronic aesthetics with a more romantic core that really gets to me, in the contrast that is generated and so on. It's in some ways richer to me than the likes of a traditionally melodramatic song the likes of what the Moody Blues would do for example. I enjoy me a good harsh Skinny Puppy or Front 242 beat as much as anyone though. This I reckon is part of my predilection towards new romantics and sophisti-pop artists. David Sylvian, Kate Bush, Tears for Fears, The Blue Nile, Peter Gabriel, BĂceps, Pet Shop Boys and so on all share some of this quality to an extent (obviously, they are not *industrial*, but they do have that electronic/synthy element to their aesthetic that does ellicit some of that contrast as well).

Ronan's delivery's a little weak in it, I agree, though what makes it work for me, as well as most of the VNV Nation I like, is the synth lines and counterpoints. I usually like my synthpop/EBM when it touches that melancholic note the most.

What happened to your channel? Copyright issues? Also, I have to say I also find "Standing" to be one of the best in the record alongside "Rubicon" and "Darkangel". I do agree it's not great from start to finish but when it works it's a beast.

That's balanced, though. It's only really an issue when one character or comp is far more OP than the rest (or is OP while the rest isn't). Also not a DotA player, but I reckon the game is balanced around the character's usual strength level, even if taking one of these and placing him as is in the context of LoL or something might make him OP.

I've always seen Ghost in the Shell as something of an ideological sequel to Blade Runner, as if working with the existential questions about one's humanity and individuality following the acknowledgement that they are not "natural" (or human). I guess one could approach a sequel to Blade Runner similarly, but I agree that there is nothing that is needed to add to that film. Whether it is *worth* adding, that depends largely on what they come up for it as a follow-up, or an interesting stand-alone film set within that same world. I'm always open for that myself, but we'll see what they make of it.

I'm not in disagreement with you by any means, TrueNeutral. I do think some of the characters are underdeveloped and I wouldn't say I ended up caring overly for each one individually, if I nevertheless did for the overall mission as a fan of the saga. But I do think the tension is derived for me more from the ideas and the tone than the attachment to any character specifically. And it might be an unfitting comparison to make, but I also reckon there is a similar attachment towards groups/masses as there is in the likes of Battleship Potemkin as well - it is less about following the individual hero's journey and more about the part the team plays in what is a greater victory for the people and so on. I did also have the same issue you did about the names for each individual character. I'm not a Star Wars geek by any means despite being a fan of the films so I reckon it could do with there being far too many places and characters introduced altogether too quickly to really have their names stick with me. The imperial pilot even refers to himself more as "the pilot" than he is by anyone by name. I do of course remember some of the names - Jyn, Rey Guerrera, Galen, Cassian, K-230 - but I'd be lying if I told you I didn't have to look any of the others up.
