  1. Train to Busan was a lot of fun, I agree. If you have not seen it yet, in that vein I eagerly recommend The Host too - and on Japan's side, Sion Sono's Why Don't You Play in Hell?.
  2. I'm really liking American Gods myself. Sure, it could be faster, but I'm enjoying the aesthetic they're going with and the time they're taking to delve into each of the characters leading the story.
  3. "Generic"doesn't need to be bad. I would like to play a good adventure for a change and the trolls already look charming over-the-top. "Generic" doesn't need to be bad but at this point in the venture it is, because there needs to be something that motivates me into following its progress and eventually acquiring it. It can be a really good example of a traditional high fantasy RPG, but I can only know that after I play it and so far I'm not seeing a hook that might tell me it's worth starting in the first place (aside from some questionable brand confidence in Pathfinder and Avellone).
  4. I was mildly optimistic about this before, but looking at some of the above footage I can't help but get Lionheart flashbacks. It looks very stale and generic. Can't say I'd be surprised if it ends up receiving a high-60s/low-70s metascore.
  5. For more good trip-hoppy stuff.
  6. I usually enjoy that sort of film (the psychological melodrama involving women and the role they play - see The Red Shoes, Suspiria, Inland Empire as other examples), but this one left me pretty cold. I felt the aesthetic tropes by which it tried to capture a cracked psyche were all pretty standard for the genre and I ultimately had a bit of a "seen it all already" feel with it. In terms of Satoshi Kon films I think it's the weakest of the four I've seen (the only four he released, I think?) - however, if you enjoyed it I would eagerly recommend his follow-up Millennium Actress, a superb trip through the golden decades of Japanese cinema. Tokyo Godfathers is also great. Thanks! I'll have to check it out. And maybe those other movies you mentioned to. Sure thing! I hope you enjoy, and would like to hear your opinion when you get around to them.
  7. There's also a new DLC out today which adds some minor quests and random encounters, it seems: http://store.steampowered.com/app/647560/Tyranny__Tales_from_the_Tiers/
  8. This is tricky. Because we set the $10 bar for two reasons, not just one. First the $10 bar would help to reduce the numbers of backers eligible for this. So that we would get to 50 or below entries. But more importantly we wanted to prevent that people would only donate a very small amount just to be recognized ingame. Though I'd guess some people would do that even for $10 On the other hand, the campaign is over now. There are 55 backers eligible for backer recognition, and 11 people who donated less than 10$. I would say, yes, send in your submission, but no promises. There aren't any promises anyway I will say it again, Obsidian is free to alter or completely reject submissions for this. Oh, sure! Take me just as part of the backup. :D
  9. This was asked in one of the Q&As, and as far as I can recall, you will be offered a chance to pick your choices for PoE from scratch if you weren't content with how you finished the game the first time around. Sticking to the choices you made will be optional.
  10. Well, I donated but didn't donate $10. Can I still send in a submission in case there's any room by the set date?
  11. Sony press conference was a bit lacklustre. I want that Shadow of the Colossus remaster and God of War looks good, but other than that I wasn't particularly convinced.
  12. Skull & Bones and Beyond Good and Evil 2 look very promising. And South Park of course. The rest... Eh. I wish we could get some actual gameplay footage in these trailers and not just some completely unrepresentative cinematic, but hey, that's how you sell I guess.
  13. Hello! Welcome.
  14. Wolfenstein 2 looks great. The rest... Eh.
  15. Anyone know when/if Obsidian is making a presentation? I know Tyranny was teased to have an announcement the 13th, but is that an E3 thing or else?
  16. Really liked the presentation for Where the Water Tastes Like Wine.
  17. Anthem looks pretty promising. Looking forward to it. Also Cuphead (which I did know of before), An Artist's Escape and (despite the atrocious name) Super Lucky's Tale all look good too.
  18. Adam West.
