I decided to go for a nuke focus spell selection and take Xoti along as my buffer. Still the question about Maia stands, as I would like to hear some reasons for one over the other to fell a decision there. Scrounging through the web made me think that maybe even sc ranger might be an option, as I will probably only have 1 frontliner (Eder) at most times and thus a more sturdy pet bird could be helpful...

Everyone's Two Cents says the directory path should look like Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire > PillarsOfEternityII_Data > override > Everyone's Two Cents > conversations, manifest but the zip file doesn't contain an ETC folder, it only shows 'conversations' and 'manifest'. Am I supposed to create the Everyone's Two Cents folder or is the install guide outdated?

Finally finished with POE1, turned from 'I finally need to finish this' to 'Imma have another run after this once I am done with Deadfire'. What a gem! And now for a follow-up to my last post here... Now, scrounging through some build posts here, it seems that is a severe lack of thorough spell choices for the priest builds, even more so for Berathians. But considering I want to play PotD again, I would like at least some basic guidelines in advance, as to avoid respeccing 10 times during my run... According to the answers on my last question, it seems that Berathian offers quite a lot of potent damage spells for free, so I would assume that I can savely pick the more support oriented spells when leveling up..? Also, I couldn't find out for some reason, how many spells I can even pick each PL..? So, I thought something like this in addition to the Berath spells (mostly more than possible - because indecisiveness) : PL1: Interdiction - Holy Power - Barbs of Condemnation (even against Thaos, I still used it, so it has a special place in my heart) - Halt - maybe Blessing? PL2: W&S or 1handed style - Iconic Projection - Withdraw - Pillar of Faith - Prayer for the Body PL3: Prayer for the Spirit - Dire Blessing - Consecrated Ground - Despondent Blows PL4: Pretty much all spells seem useful... + Spell Shaping seems neat, and Spirit of Decay of course as well... This one I am at a complete loss... PL5: Rapid Casting - Farcasting - Barring Death's Door of course - all other spells seem useful too... tough choices... PL6: Pillar of Holy Fire - Salvation of Time - (never found a use for Minor Intercession before - still the case in DF?) PL7: I have absolutely no idea what I should prioritize here... PL8: Again, they all seem useful (as from my experience with PoE1) aside from Dismissal - Great Soul seems less relevant, as I can always just rest once more than I would with... PL9: Prestige of course - Incarnate I assume is pretty powerful for Berath? Writing all this down, maybe I'll make Xoti not a Monk but a Priest as well and just take eVeRyThInG I listed... or at least a Contemplative..? And Maia is pretty much a simple question compared to the big one... Scout does supposedly a bit more damage, Geomancer has a lot more utility. I am leaning towards Geo for now, but am open to suggestions. I like micromanagement, so that is not an issue (also Rogue was more micro-intensive than Wizard and Priest combined in poe1, so...) My party will only have Maia as a fixed unit, everyone else I may or may not switch out on a whim...

I am so close to finishing POE1, finally. I would like to have a few Berath's Blessings right from the get-go in Deadfire. Namely stat/skill bonuses, Eder's pet slot, and the merchant. Is there a mod or a save file available to unlock them without needing to play through the game once without mods? Because I would want to at least use any unofficial patches right away.

So, I wanted to do Crägholdt prior to WM2 (don't ask why I postponed it for so long). Before that I went into WM2 just to tackle the Alpine Dragon (easier than Adra Dragon - noone got ko'd). Upscaled WM2 so I don't have to console command toggle it later. Aaaaaand I was getting my minced ass handed to me on a platter by the Torn Bannermen. Struggled through, got stuck for half and hour in the cave, only to find it to be a dead end. Went to the leader - who was surprisingly easy - and then the dozen Ancient Death Guards are the end of my journey there. Can't get past them, don't even survive long enough to get all my buffs/debuffs out. Then I started WM2 properly, collected all the quests, went into the mines, and am currently working my way through there. Slowly. Very Slowly. 1 Vithrack battle, 1 rest. Is fine. Now I read that the Alpine Dragon gets boosted in WM2, which I thought was not the case. I thought the dragons don't get upscaled? Also why would WM1 contend get upscaled in WM2? Also read that Llengrath gets upscaled in WM2? Which is another thing I thought was not the case. First, Crägholdt is WM1 contend as well. Second, I read that it would not get upscaled at all. I am confused...

Yeah, makes sense, I just don't know when I will be able to take it, so far I have always had something more important xD Should I give Kana a ranged or reach weapon to make my frontline less dense? I am not so sure he wouldn't suffer too much defensively... Or maybe Maneha with reach weapons... Uses Redeemer and The Grey Sleeper right now and is doing splendid with them.

Badgradr's Barricade+Deathbolw is the sole reason I looked at 1hand+bashing shield just couldn't get the name on my phone... So far I used paralyze from Aloth (DLC spells are amazing) or Stuck from Priest's Halt for triggering the second necessary affliction. Tried hard to avoid spoilers, but as far as I can tell, all stunning/proning 1handed weapons seem to be quite late game, so only really relevant for super challenging fights and such... We Toki has the crit+ modifier, which would be neat. Cladhaliath seems to be the only one that's somewhat readily accessible? Starcaller seems meh, as 'reliable' is pretty much wasted on a high ACC class? Godanstunyr is really great for the dual damage types. Also I have a soft spot for more 'properly' sized war hammers :D I am right in the assumption that Weapon Focus is more or less wasted on Rogue, right? But the idea of having a crowded frontline still puts me off a little. At least in confined spaces xD In more open spaces, it's advantageous, but in all those dungeons... So, would 2 different setups work for her, or are melee and ranged mutually exclusive for a Rogue? Or maybe I'll be weird and give Kana the Stormcaller and have him at mid range as to not clutter the frontline too much. He has so much reach with Dragon Thrashed anyway xD And for alpha striking, Zahua/Maneha/Kana with Arque/Blunderbusses, and DoC with Molina's Arbalest for the chance to get instant prone/stun right at the start. Is that a good plan or would the arbalest be better on someone else and an arquebus on DoC for the higher SA damage?

I am completely undecided about what to focus on with DoC. I tested all 3 types I am interested in for her, and they all work really well. The 'worst' would be Nightshroud, simply for the fact that I already have Zahua, Maneha and Kana on the front. In open areas, the fourth frontliner is nice, but many fights are not that freeroam-y. Removing Nightshroud from her would let my main priest have a 'get-out-of-trouble free card', which sounds nice, albeit I have yet to find a situation where that would have saved me... Hunting Bow vs War Bow is a tough choice though. Would be super easy, barely an inconvenience, if Stormcaller could be bound to Rogue, but alas, nope. So far, she uses Borresaine or Persistence. On one hand, Borresaine offers so much damage that I was able to 1shot some mage in one of the bounties in WM1, on the other hand DoC would be softcountered against enemies immune to pierce, which could be circumvented with Massuk Bow if I went the Hunting Bow route. But then again, I am not sure I would lose that much if I just went with War Bow as my main and switch to Massuk Bow if needed. Would the +6 ACC from Weapon Focus be that noticable in the long run, considering how high Rogue ACC already is? (+ 20 ACC from Devotions among others) Or should I maybe just do a hybrid build and do both Bashing shield melee and HB/WB ranged? Or something completely different? Edit: and, what is the best way to approach alpha striking? So far, I have my melee units set up with slow ranged weapons for an initial attack, by the time the attack is finished my priest cast Devotions. and then I switch to melee for the front liners and that's it. I thought I would be better off by now not bothering with many alpha strikers, aside maybe for DoC because of the SA bonus? Like, Molina's Arbalest for AS, then switch to HB/WB/melee depending on my chosen build?

So, I entered WM at level 7, struggled mostly at the beginning and the end of it, took a short break in base game at the end and gained 1 more level. Now, is being level 12 too easy for WM2 potd and should I thus upscale or is it still fine? It seems weird, essentially not 'grinding' many levels, barely doing more than what is readily available in the DLC and then getting the prompt that I was actually overlevelled for part 2? Or am I maybe even in a bad middleground and should I work my way to level 13 and then upscale?

EDIT: Zahua and DoC are great replacements for Hiravias and Eder surprisingly, so I am good for now Finally I did NOT restart again and entered White March. Just to get this out of the way, holy **** was the Crag Ogre battle intense. I thought you couldn't save in between skirmishes until the last 2 fights, which made it unnecessarily harder for me xD Now to the subject. Zahua is level 1 right now and I have absolutely no idea how to set him up in my party comp. I have Kana and Zahua on the front; priest-me, Aloth and Hiravias (who I regularly switch out for GM) in the back. Last slot is Sagani so far, but I may choose to ditch her for either DoC (in WM1) and then maybe for Maneha (in WM2). So, either 3 frontliner units or 4 backliners. I thought of following either or but as I have no experience with mid to high level monks, I am not sure what would best fit my party. The class is cool in concept, but the whole wounding mechanic never made sense to me, compared to spellcasters and 'normal' melee classes. I would like to focus on fists as my main weapon and hatchets as my secondary weapon, though I will use him as an alphastriker as well, with Molina's arbalest most likely, as I can get the peasant focus bonus with it. And lastly, with the aforementioned party of priest/Aloth/Hira-GM/Kana/Zahua /+???, would a 3rd frontliner even make sense? I find the idea of having 3 Aumaua from Rauatai pretty appealing, so Maneha would be more to my liking than DoC, at least during the second part of WM and then back in the main game. Rogue never clicked with me anyway...

So, I want to meet Azzuro finally, and was inclined to use console commands, but on the wiki it says SendStrongholdVisitor tag String Sends the specified visitor to your stronghold, triggering their arrival. Now, where can I find the 'tag string' info? It isn't simply the name, and I can't find any code or something in the wiki. Do I have to get lucky once and get Azzuro regularly and then check his ID and write it down? Or is there another site to get me that info?

I got sidetracked into other games (SMT remaster and Tangledeep) and now I found this awesome pic after googling Skadi. Anyone wanna help me out with the watercolouring?
