I always value lore and aesthetics more than sheer numbers. 2 or 3 more damage won't make me choose a cat over a wolf or vice-versa... I like boar and cat, and I liked orlans. Orlans and boars, for me, don't match. I'd play cat but this kind of character is far from the "unique" concept that I stated about a hundred posts ago... So I'm still evaluating.. Another thing I regret is that a BG with mech AND survival does not exist.. Another viable possibility for me would be dwarf with boar. The boreal gains even higher ACC vs two of the most annoying critter type... Thinking about it...

Well, the build of the Moon Godlike with the regen is awsomely strong. I tried it with another race and there was NO WAY I got killed. I guess with the endurance replenishing of the godlike, it's even more OP! I just don't like the Moon Godlike's flavor... dunno why. He would be nice with wolf, but the wolf is one of the worse spiritshifts you can get...

All this leads me to think that in the end, there seems not to be a huge difference between shift forms. It's a matter of circumstances as far as I can see. I'll take my decision upon aesthetic and taste.. if I go orlan, I think I'll go cat. Otherwise I'll go boar... I have a slight preference for boar, but that's because he seems more badass than cat... hehe..

Well... you're right, but orlans are sneaky little folk.. their eyes are cat-like, as is the color of their fur... For me and I repeat FOR ME, I'd go like this: Wolf: Moon godlike Stag: Nature Godlike Cat: Orlan Boar: Dwarf Bear: Dwarf or Human There's no reason to choose as I'd do, except a "conceptual similarity" like in Wolf -> Moon or Stag -> Horned godlike... So, yes, I used the wrong word by saying "lore". It's mostly a juxtaposition

Ok, my bad, sorry. So I'll definitely go boar with -most probably- orlan. This will add to the flavor of the build as well as make him strong mentally and phisically. I'll use Ben stats, those he gave me in the first posts, and build him to be either survivalist and mechanic adept, with a little twist in lore. Athletic seems less important with endurance regen built in, but tell me if I'm wrong. I plan on using a quarterstaff from the second line in the cases when shift wears off (seldomly I think). For my body I like Gwisk Glas, but... does the Second chance trigger when I'm shifted or ALL of what I'm wearing while shifted totally disappear??

Are you sure it's not passive?? Today I played it and I noticed some small numbers coming from nearby foes, but when you say something i'm inclined to think I'm the wrong part As of now, I'm inclined on Boar anyway 'cos of the regen. Coupled with the fighter cross-class it's awesome! Furthermore there's the dot...maybe slightly negligible but...still does its part. Moon Godlike seems a waste with this config, as the regen kinda avoids the endurance drop... This time I went Orlan, and decided to privilege Mech (I like it, can't help) and Survival. Orlans have a huge lore in the game, lotta special dialogue lines, and the +10 to all defenses on a will save is not bad... He is the only obvious choice if I consider that the godlikes' racial abilities (except death) will almost never trigger... And lastly... orlan are sneaky so it fits the mech thing...

Well I don't know... As Ben says...the wikia is not the most reliable source so it may be wrong... I'm just trying to decide the spiritshift to choose atm... undecided between stag and boar. Boar seems more damaging due to dot... but stag has higher defenses and carnage... difficult decision. I'm now alt-tabing while I play, and chose wild orlan. Flavor is good, but I still need to come up with a story. Went explorer this time...

I'm not really into Sci-Fi stories Boer, but what I appreciated is the "unicity" of that build. I mean... who would actually think of building a Charming Pala? Yet you did, and I think it fares optimally. So right now, I'm trying to give a sense (for me ofc) on all this druid build. Something that (still in my head) can justify what I do. Boer, would you still recommend nature godlike or would you see another race more fitting? I want to go staff I think, when I'm not shifted... Edit. Motivation of the above: Is there a helmet which is important to druids? I see this particular type of character is not very squishy, especially when shifted, so maybe the nature's godlike ability will trigger very seldom... AND he can't bear a helmet so... just wondering. Even though, I'll admit, he makes a LOT of lore and RP... Other options I have may be dwarf or orlan maybe...

Well, I kinda like this druid idea... Only just refining the details... It's not mandatory to use a dwarf, I just can go with another race. Fun is what counts most. And the fact that I feel the MC really "mine". I tried nature godlike with aumaua shape, and that stag looked huge! Moreover especially at the beginning he was like...the strongest melee I've tried so far... so I guess it can only go better later... I just need to come up with a cool background idea.. Something cool like Boeroer's pala!
