Ok, going out to buy dinner...then coming back and testing it. Let you know how it fares, but I have little to no doubt it's gonna work! Thanks for your input, as well as draego for your ranger and barbarian (they will be tested too). As always, anyone feel free to add their ideas! Edit: Moon GL is appealing... tons of healings for everyone...even though the typical monk mechanic doesn't work here... but nevertheless..very lore-friendly.

I played a fighter before.. just jump into battle once buffed and he was sturdy as hell. No special positioning required since he could withstand severe damage without even flinching. Would like to maintain this kinda attitude, but maybe add some active abilities.. something to do during combat... thus.. I dunno whether ranger or barbarian fit..

Well... I don't want to become a caster... because I'm not good a casting while being MC...so ranger might also interest me because of trapfinding or the like. I never thought of playing melee ranger, I thought the majority of his abilities were for ranged.. Which animal did you take? Would a ranger be tanky?

So your priest had a very empowered holy radiance? That sounds about fun, because I wanted my priest to be able to deatroy vessels.. what about the spells though? You get 'em when you level up so... what do you do of 'em? Barb seems fun, allright.. Waiting for some other input, maybe from other folks if anybody wants to give their 2 cents.. Edit: Ranger seems fun alright, but I'd like to divert a bit from my original MC, so maybe changing race and weapons...

I originally wanted to do a Berath's priest. Then gave up because I couldn't quite find a fun build.. maybe yours can be? Altough I like Durance quite a lot, I don't dislike the idea of a MC priest. The ranger looks a lot like my old character....except he's a ranger.. I think my choice will be between barbarian and priest... who gets the most out of the game "roleplaywise"? Thanks a lot draego.

Howdy folks, been eons since I've been here the last time. A lot of time has passed and, to my regret, I wasn't able to finish my last playthrough, due to family issues, although I was in chap3. I've tried loading the previous situation, but I just can't seem to remember the past events, so I prefer starting over again. I was an orlan fighter, and I must admit it was fun and pretty powerful. I'd like to stick with a melee character, but maybe something different...paladin maybe? Well I just need some suggestions this time, as I'm pretty sure that while playing again, I will remember what I did before. P.s. Melee class doesn't necessarily mean a fighting class. It simply means I want to stay ahead, but if you got some...let's say... melee mage... or similar concepts feel free to comment. Pps. I will be playing easy, no particular min-max needed/expected. Thanks a bunch.

Yes, it's not bad being little and tanky... it's just a little awkward when you sit on that huge throne and it kinda swallows you up..he he.. That said.. I'm almost 11th level now, and still I find it difficult to roam around certain areas, let alone white march.. there's a place north east of caed nua, can't recall the name right now.. I just walked in, a guard steps forward and shortly a fight begins. Well, I just die in seconds. What's wrong? Wrong members? Wrong attitude?

Ok I thought I'd update this a little bit. I'm at third act now. Level ten. I'm still tanky, and my party took grieving mother instead of Sagani. Some advice came to me right at the start of the act telling me it'd be far to easy for me since I'm level 10, but the blasted primordials are tough as hell.. glad I didn't rise the difficulty. I'm in twin elms now. I feel a little lost, in that the quests are a lot. My main has been quite fun to play so far, no micro, just dialogue, trapspringing, scouting and hard hitting. Maybe a little more resolve would have helped me in some dialogues. Act two has been fun enough I must admit. Hope third will be as well. I found out maybe orlan isn't my favourite race.. I thought it had a greater impact on the game..

Mmm yes, I also thought of Eothas' Priest (next choice maybe) but everywhere you go there seems to be an animancer or a cipher ready to greet you. And the soul reading ability that the main char got is very similar to that of a cipher. I will finish my plathrough for now, then will try another path.

Hey there! Been playing for almost 25 hrs now. Though I didn't find anything in particular that makes me regret my choice of being a fighter (which atm I enjoy a lot, especially due to the fact that I'm an orlan with high intelligence) I find it more obvious story-wise to be a cipher. Anyone of you got the same feeling?

Approaching Level 8. Gone down to Od Nua 7. I'm tanky as hell. What I can't understand is why Pallegina keeps getting punished hard. She's not very far from my stats, except for health recovery, but she just doesn't seem to mitigate damage. She has a tougher plate than I have, has shield and all... My group is made of: Me, Pallegina, Sagani, Aloth, Durance, Kana. Should I look for some particular object so far? Let's hear you!
