Man, I sure do hate Lucasarts. This is the thread where we bash Lucasarts, right?

Roger Ebert: Games are an inferior medium
Yeah, you're right. I was just focused on writing because I wanted to draw a parallel from Movies and Games to books.

Roger Ebert: Games are an inferior medium
I disagree with what you've said, but mostly this part. You really don't feel a video game can thrill you or shock you, or move you? That's in the writing. Big budgets don't bring you feeling. The writing does. I think it's completely possible for a game to do all of that. I think the difference is that movies have real actors that you see, and books you imagine real people. Maybe video games are just harder to get those feelings from, because they dont feel as real. But I certainly think you can get feeling from them. I think the idea that you can compare or critique any art to be disgusting. Who's to say what is what? It's all completely opinion, where some peoples opinions are based on different things than others. For example, who is to say a movie with great special effects is better than one with great story? Most people prefer a good story over great special effects, but that's just most people's opinion. Why should movies be based on story? Why can't it be based on visual stimulation like paintings? Why should a book be more art than a video game because you will get more cultured from it? What makes art? What defines it? Couldn't the simple fact that a person created it make it art? Food can be art. Gardening can be art. Pottery can be art. Dancing is art. Art is such a broad topic, there is certainly room for video games.

Do you believe in Santa
If you ever looked at it with her and it passed your area already, would you just tell her that he must have forgotten about your house because of what a bad girl she had been, and then you just return her presents and use the money to buy porn? Then later on in life she becomes a porn star because daddy never cared?

I haven't heard enough music to pick the best ever, and I haven't decided what to base my judgment on in terms of playing.

If there was a way to determine what the best solo in a song was, it deffinetely wouldn't be any of those 70's rock songs.

Why is the NWN2 modding scene so.... meh?

What are you playing now?
I've been switching back and forth between Pokemon, Empire at War, and NWN2. I guess I'm just not satisfied with playing one game. The first time I played through NWN2 I would play for like, 7 hours straight. Now it's hard for me to play it for one hour.

Listening to your community
Yeah, the few people here that we wouldn't want Obsidian to listen to like Hades and Volo are usually arguing with eachother. Lets hope they don't wise up and band together. Things might get really annoying around here.

This weeks hot topic: Immigrants
It must be real hard for you to sit in your Beverly Hills mansion and cry about how illegal immigration is hurting you and your beloved country club, but what you and all your friends from racket ball don't understand is that us in the north and east rely heavily on illegal Canadian immigrants to do a montage of stressful and grossly laborous jobs, that quite frankly, we can't do, because we just don't have enough people to do them at the prices these Canadians are willing to do them right now. I dare you, nay, defy you sir, to take a trip up here and actually look around. Drive through the midwest, where there are no illegal immagrants to be found. The economy there is struggling. You say that we're the minority here in America, but I'll tell you what, the only minority here is cheap labor at affordable prices, and that sir, is what sickens me.

What are you playing now?
I started a new game in Fire Red, unfortunately I'm not allowed to trade eggs to it, so I am forced to start with a generic starter team. Bulbasaur (Fushi), Mankey (Mr. rage), Pikachu (Sparks), and a Caterpie I caught an evolved into a Metapod, and now it's one level away from being a Butterfree. I was originally EV training them, but I don't really want to anymore because it's just toom much work to keep track of. Plus, there isn't a reason to in this game, but there is a reason to in Diamond because you can battle other people over the internet, and a few of my friends have the generation IV games.

What are you playing now?
I stopped playing Diamond because I really don't want to EV train my pokemon. I like the original setting beter too. Fire Red and Leaf Green all the way!

Dude, just get Firered. I'm sure you can get a cheap one for $15 bucks and I had a lot of fun with it. It's the the old games, a few extra locations, and updated graphics. Probably my favorite GBA game of all time. I have LEaf Green, and just aquired Fire Red. All of this on my own accord.
